Rime sighed at the sudden disappearance of the boy... she had forgotten she wasn't small and non-threatening at the moment. She hoped he'd get over his nervousness and come back so she could apologize.

She saw him return to shore with another load, and after lugging her own chunk of rubble onto the shore, she said quietly, "I'm sorry if I startled you. I didn't mean to. My name is Rime." she seemed to be content to leave it at that, if the boy didn't want to converse, or give his name, or anything.

Alida decided he might be too young for hide-and-seek, and so set him in the sand, and after poking his nose lightly, started to dig into the sand, motioning for him to help, too. She pulled some of the sand into a pile, to shape it into a crude castle. Sculpting anything was not her strong point, but she beamed happily, glancing over at him often. She couldn't get over how cute he was. I wish I could coo at him. Ah, well, I think he gets my meaning. I hope. But I still wish I could tell him how cute he is.

She was beginning to find more and more disadvantages to not being able to speak.

He giggled, scruching his nose at the poking and going crosseyed. to try to see his own nose. After failing in his task he gave up and went back to watching her, suddenlly intriguied with what she was doing.
He seemed to think it over a moment, before rolling himself to his hands and knees and crawling over.

He shoved his nose into the sand a moment, going into a coughing fit as he snorted it up his nose. He frowned at it and started mimicing her, a bit of sand still on his face.
After a moment of cautiously digging he found it rather enjoyable.. probably the dog-like side of him. His tail wagged as she started digging at about the same speed a small puppy might. Whihc was rather impressive for his age.. but not as impressive if he was about the age of Colette.

Misoka froze again.. it wasn't how she looked. He did this with everyone. He darted back under the water, not swimming away this time but as far as she knew he had... he watched her feet for a moment, watching them turn around and poke his head back up. Slowly following after her with his chin just above the water. After a moment of slowly stalking the dragon he finally opened his mouth, a small timid shaky voice coming out "I!... I'm.. Misoka...Y-You didn't.. startle me.." he shivered a bit, fumbling on his words as he tried to remember her last question "I-I'm with Arafel..."

Alida covered her mouth as he poked his nose into the sand, and as he sat back, she shook her head gently. Sand isn't for breathing, silly. She clapped her hands in delight when he started digging, but pulled him back before he dug too far. The water was high here, and soon they would have a small pond rather than a hole in the ground. Not that that would be bad... But I don't want you to fall in.

She demonstrated pushing the sand into piles, small ones, large ones, almost randomly placed, and after making one more, pointed at him, saying that it was his turn. She carefully made her way past the mounds, to sit right next to him and gently direct his hands into making his own mound. Then she took a bit of washed up twig, and a bit of grass, and fashioned a tiny flag to place on the top of his pile. She beamed at him.

Rime nodded. "Oh, I'm glad I didn't startle you. I forgot I wasn't my usual self at the moment. Do you like the water?" She was trying to keep the conversation light, and the topic on things he might like. She wished she could get to her clothing, but there was nothing to change behind, and besides, she couldn't lug nearly as much stuff if she wasn't draconic. But she supposed she could at least make herself less... imposing. But she'd wait to see if he relaxed some before she went springing anything else new on him.

(Of course he is. He's a male seahorse. <___< But thats not really parental XD He's like: Oh look, a kids missing. <___< >___>.. Oh well. *shrugs*)

The halfbreed gave a small nod as the blonde thanked him, and then remained quiet, looking from person to person as they spoke. Spiro was somewhat surprised on their comments about him having bandaids and such, especially when Colette actually said he was smart. His brows arched curiously and he had to stop and think for a moment... Wow. He glanced about the beach in a thoughtful sort of manner, listening to the other two as they spoke with eachother, wondering what could possibly be the big deal about getting a cut. Well, perhaps that was because he was almost constantly hurt somewhere, and it might've just been luck that it wasn't him that ended up hurt. Or perhaps he was bad luck for his friends. What if that was it? What if because he hung around Colette that she got hurt? He didn't want anyone getting hurt because of him. It just wasn't right.

He shifted his weight slightly, turning his attention back towards the two just in time to see the girl meet the ground, his eyes widdening for what seemed a split second. Perhaps he should have been paying attention. He went over to stand at her and Avery's side,
"Are... You okay?"
He echoed after the other boy, and then seemed to relax as soon as she was back onto her feet (thanks to Avery.) And then he settled back on his heels, arms folding over his chest, expression growing slightly thoughtful as his mind went over what they should do. He was rather worn out, although he didn't let it show, so perhaps they could take it easy for awhile... He nodded,
"Yeah, maybe that would be a good idea."

The teen shifted where he stood, thinking to himself quietly a moment before deciding to reassure Ritsu with a quiet,
"It's alright."
He looked then towards Yuki and gave a silent nod, feeling no real need to speak. That sickness he had gotten was terrible, but lasted for a short while and he was back on his feet. Completely back to normal. His gaze drifted over the three and came to rest on the young girl,
"Hai. Frieze-sa-... Frieze.."
He had been corrected last time he said 'Freize-san'. I don't like formalities and all of that, the mutt would claim with a smile, just Freize okay?
"Should be around here with Spiro-kun. They came to help clean up awhile ago."
He watched with a neutral expression as the girl drew nearer to him, brows coming to a slight arch.

Meanwhile, Cougar was busily worming about in Hatori's grasp, staring out at all of them with wide eyes, a cheery smile playing across his lips. He wriggled about until he was facing the dragon, teetering backwards off of his arm. And then he was suddenly falling, and the teen gave a swift swoop of his arm and the brunette was being held by the older male upside-down. He went cross-eyed and giggled to himself, looking out at the world in this new angl, kicking his legs back and forth slightly. He remained upside-down for quite sometime before his older 'sibling' finally seemed to notice and turned him back around. He then clung to the seahorse and yawned widely, as if suddenly exhausted.

The soulkin soon grew bored and went to stare out at all the rubble in an almost wistful manner. What a horrible sight. As if on impulse upon seeing all of the wreckage, the Souka moved out to try and help clean up the surrounding area, albeit he couldn't carry very big things as he wasn't very strong. But he tried to carry many small things. The quiet little creature was in one of those situations where he wished to help as much as he possibly could. He disliked having this kind of garbage littered about.

(( Lmao... XD *imagined Hatori somehow getting "pregnent"* that would humor me so so much...
Hatori would be like "wtf?!" and probably show more emotion than he had in his whole life. *nods* ))

Colette blinked suddenlly having a feeling of weightlessness before she was on her feet again. It confused her for a moment before she figured out what had happend. Not that it wouldn't have been obvious to anyone else.. Colette was just easily confused sometimes.
"I'm fine!" she reassured, brushing herself off. She seemed to be falling more and more after her last "growth spurt" as Arafel called it. She'd only gotten alittle bit taller... That wasn't much of a growth spurt, was it?
She smiled at them both, continuing to brush sand from her face, arms, stomach... She had some in her mouth too,k but it woul dhave been rude to spit.. so she took to leaving it there, causing an uncomfrotable bland gritty taste so stick in her mouth, a cruch noise echoing in her own head every time she moved her teeth. (( Nothing tastes worse than sand. I would know, I grew up in florida. XD And God only knows WHAT was in that sand.. *shudder*))

She blinked before agreeing to take a break... she was kinda tired, and flustered from her little ordeal with Avery getting ready to commit scuicide-I mean.. jump off-wait that is scuicide >>
She nodded firmly "Uhm.. Okay! If you want to!" she didn't know what she wanted.. so.. whatever they wanted would be what she wanted! Thats easy enough, right?

Yuki stayed behind Hatori, yay for safe places. Though the fact he was hiding like that made him feel even more cowardly than he'd been feeling the past few days. The boys eyes widened as the baby started falling, he nearly choked in a slight panic.. but hatori caught him. He almost let himself be releived.. but.. THe doctor didn't seem to flip the boy back over. Wasn't that bad? Arafel said you had to be careful with babies... The rats mind started whirling around-His brand new big-brother instincts bothering him to no end at this "H-Hato.." he trailed off, as the older man seemed to notice and flip the baby upright.
The boy sighed in releif, letting himself fall back into a sit again, looking rather exhausted. He seemed to mental exhaust himself alot...

The were-pup rubbed at his face as some more sand seemed to go up his nose.. he only seemed to make it worse though. He frowned, concentrating before lifting his shirt up to rub his face on it vigorously. This seemed to work though.. and he seemed quite pleased with himself. He blinked, pointing back at her to copy her movement. He made a baby noise, before stopping the pointing and mimicing her previous motions, and pushing sand into little piles. Though this sin't make as much sense as the diggin had, he liked it just the same.
His little eyes sparkled curiously as he watched her put the flag atop his-Imediatly reconizing it from teh story books he had been read, a caslte! He giggled excitedly and clapped his hands together, moving to start fashioning another mound of dirt, then another.. and another...

Misoka blinked, looking to the water and smiling softly "Yes.. I-I like it alot.. Swimming is the only thing i'm good at really.." he gave a shrug... hands fidgeting under the water. "I don't.. see anything scary aboutl. being a dragon." he wanted to sink under the water, what a stupid thing to say... he really didn't mind though. He looked almost draconic himself afterall. The lion-like ears twitched as he let his eyes strain up to look at her from under his bangs. It would have been easier just to lift his entire head but.. he seemed to nervious to do so.
PostPosted: Sat May 21, 2005 1:38 am

"Really? Nothing scary? Well, thank you! Most people tend to get nervous around me in this form, for some reason." She settled down, and said, "I like to swim, too, but more in my smaller forms than this one. I have to go so far out to get to water where it's deep enough for me that no one else can really follow."

Alida watched as Akira started making pile after pile after pile... she wondered if he was trying to make a city! She followed after him, making decorations for each building out of pebbles, and shells, and small bits of plants and seeweed... it really was starting to look like a little city, and she beamed. This was fun!

Sybil's eyes widened as Hatori caught the baby, and then rolled them when he didn't flip the baby back over... there he went. That was better.

"Being flipped over makes my head hurt. I bet the baby's head hurts." She nodded sagely.

Ritsu was simply releived she wasn't trying to get at Yuki and himself anymore. He sighed with releif, and started picking at his clothes, a sort of nervous habit.

Avery said, "Okay, then, that's what we'll do!" He started off in the direction of a mostly cleared patch, and looked behind him at the other two. "C'mon, you two, this way! ... Hey! "'Lida's building sand castles! Wanna do... oh, wait, Colette's got a cut. Hm..." As he walked, he thought hard about what they could do that wouldn't get her hand dirty. Then he got a bright idea!

"Hey! We could play a game like... 20 questions, or I Spy, or charades or something!" He thought it was brilliant, he hoped the others thought so, too.

"Look, are you sure it'll be alright?" William tried to pleed with the girl. He'd hate for Cera to be trouble, but it didn't appear like he had much choice in the matter. His large wings shuffled in the breeze, it wasn't really that the beach was cold, just the salty spray from the sea whipped up against his wings. Covering the small girl he held so close against his side, his palm moved up to ruffle the girls hair, idly scratching behind one pitch black ear.

Cera, meanwhile, stared wide-eyed at everything around her. Even from under one carefully positioned wing she could see the sea, large brown orbs gazing off, watching each wave as it blew into the shore. Amazed was one word for it, clutching onto the small paper bag she held within her chubby hands. One problem for Cera was her older brother, having been clad in the same jumper he had worn at her age. It wasn't large, no that was an understatement, it was huge. The large thing bagged off her arms, and was only held onto her petite body by a few peices of string tieing it to her elbows.

The large dog by their sides thumped her tail from one side to the other. She, unlike the others, was just looking forward to seeing Owyln again. Escorting William to the beach so far had been no problem, and all she had to do was take him up towards a cafe just a few streets away. Easy peasy, so what exactly was he fussing about? Her fur bristled up as sea salt flew past her sensitive nose, paws turning, Thistle faced the sea. It was massive! An excited bark emitted from her throat, circleing William's and Yume's feet. That sand certainly looked inviting.

"Alright alright Thistle," William started up, there was no getting through to her. He squeezed Yume's hand, that small smile trailing off his lips. His fingers were twined with hers, long braids tucked securely back behind his ears. Well, here went nothing. Removing the small child tucked underneath one arm, he bent forwards to kiss her forehead, before passing her onto Yume. It almost felt like betrayal leaving her like this, but then, Yume did offer - and Cera did need to learn how to interact with other people. Of course, William didn't really feel up to talking to that many, a few people at a time was more his style. Not that he'd met many people in his lifetime anyway.

"See you both a bit later, Love you kid, and you too Yume." He spoke, before turning around to head off down the peir. This place was a state, he knew that, but what he couldn't see never hurt him. For, if he could have seen the state of the beach, the fallen would have run back - picked up his little sister, and fled. Maybe being blind was somewhat of a good thing sometimes. A few more feathers fell from the bottom of his wings, shifting his shoulders uncomfortably as he headed off alongside Thistle. His palm still rested on her back, trusting the canine as much as he trusted himself.

Cera, even as her brother left, raised one hand to wave. Her long tail flicked from one side to the other, large ears cocked back against her head- partly because of the breeze and partly because this was becoming normal practice. She shifted under the girls arms, tiny hands still clinging onto the paper bag. The tiny paper bag she held, was of course for helping. Now, she couldn't do much, but the tiny girl wanted to help out as much as she wanted to play. Not that she knew exactly what had happened here.

"Jiyuu?..." The neko questioned, glancing towards the fellow neko there. He couldn't have been much younger than her, the girl leaning over to gaze into his blue eyes. She was curious about him, that was for sure, her right black ear dislodging some carefully placed blonde hair. So say her hair was up was one thing, but to say it was down was another. Half of it was up in two pig tails, but the rest spayed out of either side, causing quite a bit of excess hair around each bobble where it hadn't been tied in properly.

"Help too?..." she questioned the grey eared neko. Waving her paper bag rather estactically.

"Don''t worry about it. We will all be fine." Yume smiled looking over at William. He seemed to be busy in thought as he handed her his sister. "Listen, just go and meet you dad. Cera will be fine with me" She smiled hugging the little girl close before patting Thistle''s side.

She had agreed to keep an eye on the little one while Will went to meet his dad again. The little neko was so full of energy that she didn''t know what she would do with her until she realized Cera had an idea of her own. The paper bag was small enough for Cera herself to carry so Yume just figured she would end up playing baby-sitter for awhile. Completely fine by her.

Jiyuu followed just behind his sister, his eyes making out the shadows of the rubble so he didn''t fall on it and Squeeky helping him whenever he needed it. Yume hadn''t been at home for a time because she was staying at Will’s place for awhile and really, he didn''t like that. Yume was his sister and he wanted to be with her. Yet, there mother didn’t seem to upset at the idea but she did make Yume promise to take him with her every now and then, another idea he didn’t know if he liked but it let him be close to his sister.

"Now Cera, you want to clean right?" Yume smiled down at the little girl and gently placed her on the sand. Unlike Will, Yume felt she needed to learn to stand on her own. At two, she needed to learn how to walk sooner or later. She didn'' tsee how always holding her would help. "Well, just don''tget yourself hurt and stay were I can see you." Yume smiled down at her and waited for Jiyuu to come up to them.

Jiyuu looked at the shadow of the neko girl. She was about his size and age but still looked smaller. His hair was messed up from the wind as his ears lay flat against his head. He wasn''t sure he really liked it here but he would make do.

Hearing the girl''s voice, he looked towards the shadow of his sister as if to stay with her but received a shaking head. "Yes Cera. I''ll help you." He said smiling as Yume flicked his ear giving him a warning about his manner.

Even as the little girl was placed on the sand she stumbled. Little arms falling forwards, Cera got her first taste of sand. The damp substance flew up at her face, intangleing itself in her hair and jumper. It was actually rather amusing, watching the little girl bury herself in something she hadn't ever seen before. Eyes wide about everything, her fists curled up in the sand, watching as each grain slid through her fingers. It was fasinating, at least to her it was. It was only then had she realised the little grey neko had been placed beside her, a playmate!

Curiousity killed the cat? Well, it certainly wasn't killing Cera right about now. Slowly and surely she picked herself back up to her feet, spaying her legs out like a penguin would to keep her balance. She wobbled for a few moments, hands out at either side of her. Already, she was covered in sand. It seemed to have got its way into every knook and cranny, her large and normally pristine black ears now coated with the odd whiter patch. Yet, Cera was beaming from one cheek to the other, eyes wide with happiness.

"Clean!" She almost exhaled, trotting up towards Yume, wiping her sandy hands on her pair of shorts. Trotting seemed easy enough for the little girl, one large step being put forward after the other, stumbleing every so often. One thing she had yet to learn was to watch where she was going, the girl not even bothering to glance down towards the floor even once yet. Her paper bag seemed alright though, a little sandy, but not ripped or torn yet. Waving it in the wind, she gradually turned her attention to the lad padding almost fornlornly behind Yume.

Her own ears cocked back onto her head, her little neko fang fighting furiously not to knibble on her bottom lip. She paused, all hyperness disolving like a leaf on the breeze. It was only then that she heard his words, he'd help! Raising one hand into the air, she pulled her sleeve up, trotting a few steps away onto the beach. Before her sat a small peice of brick tile, picking it up, she ran back. Trotting speed now at a new level, Cera wasn't quite sure how to handle the situation, skidding to a stop flat on her rump infront of Jiyuu.

Not to be detered, after all, this was just one big adventure. She stuffed her paper bag out, placing the peice of brick tile into the bag. See, even she could help! A tiny purr escaped her lips, watching the younger male with that same curious but happy smile. Extending one leg, then the other, the girl put her arms on the sand to drag herself back up to her feet. Wading through the sand until she stood just infront of the boy, paper bag still grasped firmly in one hand.

"We 'possed to put stuff into bags, dirty weach" She started, of course, she hadn't quite cracked the word beach yet. It was only then that she held out a hand for him to take. Gazing into his own eyes, she saw the same problem as her brothers. They wern't bright and glowing, and almost dull in some aspects. Knowing already he was almost like her older brother, she knew he'd need help. She could try and be his Thistle for the day, that was it! Be his Thistle for the day.

"It'll be fun..." She assured, coaxing the younger neko to take her hand so they could go clean.

Jiyuu could only watch the girl's shadow as she seemed to run away from them and the come back and sit right in front of him. His eyebrow raised as he watched her shadow move to put something in what sounded like a bag. She was a ball of energy that he hadn't ever met before. Much more so than Aqua appeared to be. At least Cera wasn't made of water. That he was happy about.

Yume had found a large piece of what she took to be concreate to sit on and watch the pair. The wind blew back her hair as her golden eyes saw Cera falling and running into the sand. "This should be good for the both of them." She said softly to herself as she felt a small mist hit her face. She was used to water and enjoyed it greatly at times. The cool mist did feel refreshing on her face.

Glazing back over at the little Nekos, she could see Jiyuu standing above Cera almost unsure of what to make of her. She could guess he was planning on how to teach her to walk himself...if not learn how to say beach.

Jiyuu blinked his pale eyes down at her hand. It wasn't something he had expected from her but he took her small hand anyway. "I guess it will be." He said softly feeling the small mouse up on his ear causing him to twitch. "You know, it's called a beach...not weach." He spoke softly to her. Something about her reminded him of his older sister now. He felt better being around her and decided to give her a chance. Maybe...maybe it would be fun.

Beach? Weach, or beach? The girl faltered for a few moments, her smaller hand encasing his. She paused, just for a few moments, to think her options over. Now, to bend down and try and say beach, or to keep it as weach. Opening her mouth slowly, she paused around each letter, before carefully and almost spilling it out. Progress was slow, rounding each sound over her tongue. "W...Beach.." She finally spilled out, her once creased fore-head de-creasing, a smile forming on her lips once more. It was true, you could do anything if you tried.

She put one foot infront of the other, her bare toes curling into the sand. Even the spray didn't seem to bother her, licking its way through her fringe like a flame. For a cat, she certainly didn't seem to be all that bothered about water. She led him, extremly carefully advoiding all rocks and rubble, until a small pile of rubbish was infront of her. It was little more than a few old cans, half of a brick tile, and a few peices of concrete. Yet it was perfect for the little girl, perching where she was, one hand rested on her hip.

"Its a start..." she said slowly, eyes glazed over as she observed the small heap. It was in the one part no one else seemed to have touched yet, the tiny girl briefly glancing up towards the other people opposite on the beach. Her brown orbs watched them, never failing to gaze at each one for a few moments, intregued that they were doing the same as Jiyuu and her. Like a little builder, she grinned over towards Jiyuu, you know, clearing all this away seemed like fun.

"Oh...." She suddenly realised, they only had one paper bag. Her palm released his, stuffing it into her pocket. A peice of gum, a rubber, a few grains of sand....aha! Finally, she found the other paper bag William had given her. Producing it from her pocket with pride, the little neko shaking the brown paper bag out. Sand spewed everywhere, the paper bag refusing to open for a few moments. Bringing it up to her mouth, the girl blew along the edges. Much to her dismay more sand flew at her face, causing her to cough and splutter. Yet, it had opened!

"Here....bag, for rubbish." She whispered almost cautiously. Pushing the brown paper bag into Jiyuu's hands. She was being overly gentle with him, anyone could tell that, the girls tail curling up gradually around her ankles. Despite being covered in sand from head to toe, she got down onto her hands and knees, picking up the first can. Studying it like it was a find from the victorian times, she scraped the sand off from around the outside with the side of her palm, before dropping it into her own paper bag.

"Big brother told me, told me you were like him," She started up. It was still in toddler speak, each word slurred a bit. Her forehead creased with concentration lines, struggleing to get the next peice of brick out of the sand. It was wedged in fast, yet, she didn't give up. Just as stubborn as her big brother, her little hands encased each side, tugging and tugging at the rough surface. The sun battered down on the pair of them, the little girl's ears pinning right back against her now sandy (quite literally) blonde hair.

"are you?" She questioned carefully, finally managing to prise the minute peice of brick from the sand. Proud with herself, she plopped it into her bag.

"Hey, look. It's an umbrella." Kirea leaned over, and scooped up the slightly tattered, but mostly serviceable object. She looked over at Acrasia and Nell with an overly wide smile. "Come on, guys!"

"Mom, it's pink and flowery."

"So?"

Acrasia sat down rather sulkily, keeping her distance from Kirea. Nell sat down next to her, brushing an old can out of the way first. "Why are we here?" She moaned, whiningly.

"Because you two are developing antisocial tendencies. All you do is stay at home and watch horror movies, turning your brains to slop and bleaching the healthy color out of your faces. Plus, some menial work in a friendly environment will do you some good." Kirea rattled off swiftly, smiling at them.

"Did you get that off a pamphlet?"

"No. I just asked my brothers for advice."

"I see." Nell remarked. She played with the hem of her dress for a moment, and brightened up with an idea. "How about we clean up for a little while, go home, and throw a movie party later. We can invite everyone!"

"Not everyone shows our taste in movies, Nell." Acrasia remarked dryly. "We can't go on scaring people off."

"Nope, nope, that's in October."

Shaking her head, Kirea clambered away through the rocks, sand, blocks of concrete, and other miscellanious items to people collected a short distance away. The wind blew her dark hair into her face, but she brushed it aside, waving cheerfully to the other parents and Kinder. Acrasia ambled grudgingly behind her, Nell following more slowly, trying to plot and look innocent at the same time.

((Narf, it's been a while...))

Humming a little bit to herself, Kaja strolled along a path, a mostly wadded up bag clutched in one small hand and the other hand stuck into the small purse/pouch/thing that she wore over one shoulder. Although the bag showed signs of being used, it was obvious that the little girl wasn't really making a big impression in the whole "Gaia beautification" thing.

"Gosh, it's such a pretty day, isn't it Oliver? You can see so far, and it's not going to rain or anything...and maybe we'll be able to find you a friend!" With a bright grin, the little girl opened the top flap of her pouch, allowing her to grin down at it's occupant: a small turtle that stared back up at her with doleful eyes. "I know it's been lonely for you lately, but don' worry; I aim to fix that as soon as I can!" She nodded her head vigorously, the action causing her ponytail to lash about her head like some weird sort of plant. One thing that no one could say about Kaja was that she wasn't exhuberant! And ever since she'd aquired the small turtle, she'd been set on finding him a friend. She had him, but maybe turtles and kinder weren't the most normal of friends; although she didn't see them that much, she did have kinder friends, so shouldn't Oliver have some turtle friends?

"Don't you worry, Oli; I have a good feeling about today. After all, we're doing a good deed, right? And that means that we ought to have some kind of good luck or whatever for the day!" She laughed, holding up her trash bag and showing it to the turtle. "There are seven pieces of trash in here, you know; and we're gonna make it to fifty!"

If the turtle cared, or even understood, he made no sign; but then, what more would one expect from a turtle?
