Mitsu deflated against the table in a puddle of happy whimpers, her tail wagging behind her. Seemed she was quite the sucker for ear rubbin's her mood becoming much lighter as Shun continued to scratch.
"Okay~" She cooed lightly a small smile on her face. "But I have enjoyed being here with you." The wolf girl had enjoyed herself despite how nervous she had been.

"Well that works out for the both of us then," grinned Jericho as he set the pace. He was also careful to not end up stepping on Lizzy.. or accidentally smacking someone with one of his wings. He was also just trying to relax in general, but as the song continued he was able to get into the swing of things more easily.
This was a good distraction. Yes.
---
It had worked, seeing how her mood had lightened considerably. Letting out a breath, Shun took a drink of his punch before leaning back in his seat. He looked over towards the girl again, pausing a bit at her words. Mitsu did look rather happy right now and those words felt sincere, which caused his expression to soften slightly for a few moments. That smile she had was a nice one.
"I'm glad you're enjoying it then," he said.
To some extent... aside from the uncomfortable and kind of awkward sausage thing, he had been enjoying this as well. It wasn't too bad really.

The fear that had him flattened against Demi disappeared into a spark of indignity as his sensitive ears picked up Roch's "greeting". Jove's ears promptly flattened back, and he made a grumpy half-growl at Demi and the reaper both. The hellhound because Jove was not a child who needed babysitting when his brother wasn't around, and Roch because he was most definitely not a ghoul! What was with all these reapers thinking he was a ghoul?
He pulled himself away from the other boil and puffed up slightly to say he wasn't scared, the frills and ruffles at his chest helping to make him appear a little bigger. And the shoes helped more than he anticipated! It was amazing what a bit of extra height could do.

Damien was rather surprised to see the hunter already running around on his own away from Claire, even more surprised over Roch's complete cluelessness about a date. He stared at Roch with unblinking eyes.
"Well, have you done much stuff together here?" he asked at first before listing off anything that came to mind. "Take photo's together, dance, introduce her to your friends, stuff like that man." He gave a gentle tap the the boil's brain to wake him up "you still got a lot of work ahead of you, show her off to the crowd!"
The comfortable pressure at his side vanished in an instant, with a replacement of a light growl of warning for Roch and unknowingly, himself. "What do you think Jove?" he asked over to the side where Jove was starting to puff up, wondering if he had any ideas. Hopefully it didn't revolve around mushrooms.

"He growled?" Roch asked, his eyes widening at the little guy. "You just growled at me? Wait..." he said, something occurring to him abruptly. "What are you the ghost OF, anyway?"
Then he stopped, listening to what Demi said. "Pictures, friends--damn, man, she's got more friends than I do here! Maybe I should make HER take me around introducing me to people," he drawled. "She can show me off," he added with an cheesy grin. "I got all fancied up for this thing."
Then he looked at Jove again, stuck on the little growl and the dog ears-- He should have thought of that. "You're like... a little dog, right?" he asked.

As fun as it was to dance the music began to fade and once more Cady didn't seem to be awake yet to change songs. With a longing sigh Aislin detached from Seiji, leaning up to give him a kiss on the cheek and a hug around the neck. " If I needed to breath you'd have me panting right now, Seiji. That was so much fun! Thank you for the lovely dance but I suppose it's back to work now for me." She gave a little wave and skipped back to the DJ booth. She set her headphones about her neck and called out to the dance-goers. "Is everyone having fun?! Remember if you see Nuk be sure to give him a Thank You for coordinating this whole thing! Of course you can thank a lot of others for the decorations, the food, the games and of course for the music, you can thank me!
"Speaking of which, if any of you have any requests come over and let me know - for now it's time to bring things back and make it real, real slow.
"Isnt it a Lovely Night by the Decemberists!"The lights softened, the blacklights dimming so instead of harsh, vibrant glowing the colors were more of a gentle luminescence. From above a ball of mirrors began turning, sending little dots of light scattering all across the dance floor. The fog machine worked gently, spreading a thin layer of white mist that got no higher than ankle level. It created a lovely, almost mystical effect as students moved on the dance floor.

"You're doing well," She nodded with an amused smile, "As I thought, the boy should be the one leading!" That sounded just a little wrong for some reason, and her blush darkened slightly at her slip.
"Uh... Yeah."

The entire dance was probably awkward for both and it probably went without saying that there probably would not be another one for the sake of Christof and his poor eye level. Shehk had not missed the fact that she had, without even thinking about it, decided to wear a dress that pretty much put a lot of bare skin in the hunchback's face.
She seemed to sigh as well when he hid his face against her shoulder, her ears drooping a bit.... but that was about when s**t hit the fan with her too.
Nukpana had decided it was proper to throw himself out onto the dance floor and completely warp the type of dance that was going on. Every angry hackle she had suddenly went up and a growl formed in her chest, her eyes transfixed on the grooving skinwalker. Shehk immediately peeled herself away from Christof, teeth starting to peek between her lips.
He was doing it because she was there. She knew that was the reason. There was not a doubt in her mind.
"That a*****e!" she hissed, her tail flicking. There was a part of her that wanted to pull a shoe off and throw it at him. Instead she seethed and, in a moment of anger... .... ....
Well, she had to hope Nuk noticed when she grabbed Christof's face and planted a kiss on the hunchback.
Right.
On.
The.
Lips.
Take that you stupid ********/> Tomoko squealed again as she was lifted off the floor, throwing her arms around the ghost's neck, all smiles when she was put down again. Her tails wagged.
"Thank you for the dance, Seiji-anisan~" she beamed, before looking in the direction he'd herded her in. There was a pause as she looked around for Jove, ears drooping. Ohhhh! He'd moved, hadn't he? Instead of moving to join in with the silly dancing, she lifted one finger up to Seiji as she retreated off to find him.
"I'll be right back! I need to find Jove-kun!" and with that, she wandered off to find her unofficial date.

Calder set his glass into the trash with the rest of the small mountain and slowly wrapped his arm around Invictus. "Let's stop thinking about these things. Let us just dance." And as if to answer the call, the once fast music had slowed down to a soft beat, with the hum of a harmonica and the gentle strum of guitar. It was something Calder could enjoy. Traditional. Organic. More rustic, with the soft duo of two lovers speaking in harmony. The lights dimmed, soft, and the lights dances in circles around them, passing on their clothes and lighting up their faces from time to time. The fog rolled in, and he had to grin. Fog, like the fog back home rising from the moors. Fog, like the island that his date came from.
His hoofs lightly lifted and he moved with the horseman to a cleared spot on the dance floor. He did not address who was the lead or not, and instead set his hand on the boil's shoulder and searched for his hand before pressing their palms together and lifting it up beside them. A slow dance in the dark and glimmering lights. Smiling, Calder started to sway with his date, taking light steps. A simple, slow 1, 2, 3, of movement with all the grace of water. His white hair shimmering in the dark, and his eyes sparkled as he looked into Invictus' eyes. And with that, he sighed.

Tess gave Mac's question some serious thought. When the new song came up, she gave the reaper boil a grin, "Not that seriously." Slowly she flew a bit away from him, letting her shoulders and torso sway, forcing the fabric of her skirt to sway in time to the music.

Mitsu wasn't sure what to do with herself nor this overly contented feeling she was having from the ear scratches. Was it normal to enjoy something like this so much? At the moment she really didn't care, if felt nice and that was the only thing that registered.
Trying to sit up a little so that she wasn't slouched over the table, Mitsu offered Shun a bit more of a smile than she had been able to muster so far. "Yes, the hanging out with everyone is fun." It was amazing how well she spoke when she wasn't nervous. It was hard to imagine that she actually stuttered.
"Everyone looks so nice dressed up and all the dancing and the food is good. This is the most fun I've ever had." And it seemed she was meeting new people, though slowly. So many of them had their own friends to talk to and were busy doing this and that but the wolf girl knew a few more names and had got to bare witness to some amazing dancing talents. Just thinking of Levi and mot dancing made her swoon with delight. They had put on quite the show!

Demi could only eyeroll at Roch before the music changed into something much slower, and with more meaning. "Yeah yeah, I think right now I better skedaddle before I get caught in a slow dance." he said quietly before trying to inch away from the punk and the foxfire.
It wasn't as if the hound had no idea how to slow dance, on the contrary, it was something he could do with ease, with the waltz under his belt. However not having someone to dance with, that was where the problem lay. It was better to get off the floor quickly before someone realized he came stag.
The snack table seemed to look very interesting for him and his hungry stomach right now, which choose the time to remind him about food and how it needs it with an appreciate rumble. he put a little bit of pressure on it in order to shut it up for now while he tried to inch his way over there.

The music shifted a bit, turning from a fast song to a slow song, and Sparrow's eyes flitted towards the ScreeJay stand where Aislin was. He turned back to LW, giving the ghoul an apologetic smile.
"I do hate to leave you, but I'm afraid I have promised the first slow dance to my date," he said ruefully, and then gestured to the ghost ghoul. "She's one of the ScreeJays; her name is Aislin, and I would love to properly introduce you later. Please forgive me; I will be back soon."
Giving the others a polite nod, Sparrow flashed a smile to the shewolf before stepping away, threading himself through the crowds of people. He did hope to snag a dance with LW later, but he as of right now he had a date to ask. Moving up behind the ghoul at the ScreeJay station, Sparrow held out a hand to, his voice low as he leaned around her.
"May I have this dance, beautiful lady?"

.... ..... Oh of all things the kelpie wanted to dance to, it was a slow dance. Invictus probably would have rolled his eyes if he'd been inclined to make such dramatic expressions...and if it surprised the horseman at all. It was plainly obvious to him that Calder was completely infatuated and there was nothing he could do to try and shake that little crush that was following him. Even 'I tried to kill your classmates' didn't shake him.
Special. So special.
The fog didn't exactly instill the same 'romantic' feeling in Invictus as it was in Calder; the fog on that island had been insanity. It instilled in the horseman the desire to do horrible things and stop around angrily. He did not like fog. He was surprised the students weren't all retreating from it in tears. (Somewhere, Tomoko was)
None the less, he reneged. This was probably the point of prom for several people there, and Invictus would at least honor one strange dance without a question. At least this time he did not have to establish that he was the dominant party (this was important to Invictus), just putting one hand on the boil's hip, and taking the other hand with his free one.
At least the thing with a slow dance was that there was no expectation of extreme grandeur, and Invictus was able to simply step into a rhythm without a thought about taking the 'right' steps for some sort of formal dance.
However, he had to admit that the look he was being given was.... strange. Very strange.

Mac tilted his head, watching Tess move her torso rather fluidly for someone who didn't possess legs or hips. An appreciating little grin came to his lips, and he resisted the urge to walk after her to, uh, dance. They were in public after all, and...well, she had said they weren't supposed to dance seriously!
"Are you sure about that?" He challenged instead, doing a rahter, uh charming little number instead. With a rather loud laugh he stopped, brushing both hands through his hair before dropping his arms to his sides, hearing his palms clap against his legs. Still laughing he trailed after her this time, taking her wrist and drawing her closer to him.
"Nawww c'mon, this song needs to be danced to properly." He winked at her, his chuckles dying down to a grin. "But I promise all the crazy dances later on, alright?" Too late for Tess, he was already leading her into a dance to match the music.
