Gamma 8 turned, brow furrowing beneath the mask still attached to her face.
"What? What happened?" she asked. The Delta had just come with her... were they both dead?

"We exploded into little tiny pieces." She sat up and slumped. "I should have just... ugh, I don't even know if Thyme is alive." She started shaking, crying a little. "I'm very sorry. I... I should have..." Fedora didn't know what she could have done, but she would have done something.

Gamma 8 had expected to be horrified when she died. She had been so full of fear and horror, and she had others' blood on her hands. Now? Now it all didn't matter. She was free from the terror and the hooded figures' "tests", and she plopped down beside Delta 4 and smiled again, touching the other's arm.
"Don't cry. We're free from this. If Thyme is lucky, she will be too."

Fedora nodded, though slumped even more.
"I feel terrible. I couldn't even keep a promise. I'm sorry I attacked you." She straightened, looking at the door for a long moment.
"... I want to go through. I want to remember."

[ Re-entering from the zombies vs. humans task~ ]
Back in his normal (well, sort of) body, Beta Five rubbed a hand on the back of his neck. He was once again in the lounge; back to the beginning again. Or was it the end?
It's the end. Even he knew that. He had been given one, brief moment to return to a body, but it hadn't been his; and he'd had too many strange happenings occur in that body.
He liked this body much better than...well, the other. He could only recall bits and pieces of what had happened; something about brains and blood and giant talking horses and fire...
...yes, the fire. And now here he was, dead again. Beta Five sighed, slumping back against the couch. He closed his eyes briefly, putting a hand up to shield his face from the brightness of the lights set into the ceiling. After debating with himself internally for a few moments, he finally pushed himself to his feet.
It's now or never.
Beta Five straightened his shirt. Adjusted his gas mask.
Then squared his shoulders and walked through the door into the blackness.

A-Two had retreated from the others when the rest of Phoenix Squad left, and had largely 'entertained' herself by reading the labels on the booze. However, she turned when someone else entered suddenly. Someone else she thought she recognized as having signed up for the task.
... so...
She tried not to hope that the rest of her squad would also come back. That was kind of selfish, but at the same time... she didn't want to go through the door alone.

[E7 pops back in from Zombies vrs Squads]
E7 sighed softly as he found himself back from life, for the second time. He glanced around the room it seemed a lot quieter than the last time he was here. Just how many had moved on?
He stretched and sighed softly as he sat on one the couches again however he was watching the door with such closeness he seemed a bit wary of it. One hand, it was the end... from what he was told... on the other it was dark...
Full of shadow things. Did they have to watch out for the shadows here? He frowned as he shifted uneasily. Running a hand over his gas mask, as if he was trying to run it through his hair. Should he stay or should he go?
He found the question uneasy to answer. There were a few people still in the lounge, E7 hadn't really even checked to see if he knew any of them, if any of them were his squad members. Maybe if they were here this wouldn't be so bad.
So... for now he sat there staring at the door. Unsure if he was brave enough to step through. E7 was hoping, maybe one of his squaddies would come through and give him that needed nudge so he could find a happy ending.

[Entering from Zombies vs Squads]
E-1 found herself staring once more at the blood red decor of the Death Lounge, and sighed. Holding a glove up to her mask, she was glad that she'd gotten back her non-zombified body at least. She tried very hard not to think about how she'd wanted brains a few moments ago, and looked over at E-7. Seems the powers that be had chosen to drop her off right next to him. What was he looking at anyway?
E-1 followed his line of sight towards the black doorway. Ah.
It suddenly all seemed inevitable. She'd gotten her second chance... kinda, and fate had deemed that she'd lose it to another stupid horse. The black doorway stood there mutely, not needing words to tell her to put things to rest.
But, she could still feel the tremble in her hands as she stared at Great Unknown. She glanced back at E-7. He'd always been jumping at shadows. Chances are, he was as scared as she. Tentatively, she held a hand out to him.
"I-I don't want to go alone." she said, hoping he'd understand.

"I'm really sorry about the booterangs," he mumbled again to Delta Nine, "But it was just real cool that they kept coming back!" :CCCC No one spoil the illusion, please? He was clinging to whatever shred of happy he could know that he learned Boss was gone. Beta Four rubbed at his mask, trying to wipe at the trickle of tears through the material, still wishing they could remove these ******** things. "M-maybe she just got lost. I'll go and get her!" he offered to Beta Three, "You might like her, Thor!", thankfully the mask obscured the wide grin that bordered on deranged. It was obvious he wasn't really thinking about what his decision would mean. This was Before, act first apologize later. And so, with a big wave, he scooted off towards the door, calling out: "Boss! Hey Boss!" nearly slipping as he stepped through.

(( E-3 is entering from the Zombies vs Squards cut-short game.))
E-3 once again found herself in the lounge. How many times had she returned here? Twice? Three times, perhaps?
Looking at herself, she realized she was herself once more. At least that was one benefit of being dead again...at least she knew who's body she was in. She was actually rather appalled by how mindlessly she'd acted while she was in that strange, half-brainless state that was her last living form. Perhaps she was just meant to stay in the 'dead' zone...
Slowly, E-3 found herself staring at the black doorway. She remembered the voice saying she would learn everything if she entered it. But there was no going back. She quickly checked the texts on the phone. It was Day Six...only one more day was left for those alive. There was no backing out.
Slowly, she noticed several other Epsilons standing, looking at the doorway. They seemed unsettled, as she was. She would have offered a comforting smile if she could. She slowly walked over to them and said, "It's been good meeting you all...E-1, E-7..." Her head turned to the door. "I'll wait for you all on the other side...Tell E-5, it was E-5, right? Well, that him that he took over as medic well." She paused, standing at the doorframe. She looked back over her shoulder, and said quietly, "And please, tell E-12 that she was a brilliant bodyguard, if you see her." She tried to give a laugh to comfort her team-mates, but then quieted after a moment, and quietly said to the bit of her team she could see.
"Goodbye, my Epsilon friends. I shall wait on the other side for you all. Goodbye."
And with that, E-3 breathed out, and crossed over and through the door.
((Epsilon Three has been concluded, her solo will be up momentarily.)

[Zeta Six/Bones entering (again) from Zombies vs Squads Task - Zone 5]
There was a groan as he awoke, his eyes fluttering as his body swayed back into a sitting position. Resting his dazed glare on the bar area he managed to mutter. "We really must stop meeting like this, darlin'." He emphasized the word "darlin'" to make it as cynical sounding as possible. Standing he began to dust some fragments from his outermost layer. Skin, rubber or plastic... he really wasn't sure anymore. As he no longer had to breathe it didn't matter one way or the other since he wasn't able to smell it.
Thank god for that.
Stretching upward he made his way to the bar, his spine making several loud cracking sounds which he made sure to ignore. (At this point whether he had popped them in or out didn't seem to matter much anymore.) Staring at the bottles he grabbed forward and pulled a bottle of whiskey down and tipped it haphazardly over the counter, twirling it with a finger. He hadn't seen Spock around in a while, or Kirk for that matter. He'd love to share a drink with them... or at least, toss some alcohol on them and pretend he was drunk. At least you remember that.
A smile crossed his face. Just that feeling alone - the feeling to remember - that gave him some solace especially over the fact that he was now dead. Granted now that he no longer had to worry about death he was more content with his "existence". Or was he?
Under his orange optics he glanced to the door, tilting the whiskey bottle tentatively. What little joys he had known on this island. Meeting some people, being able to take care of them... finding Kirk and Spock. Those had all been good experiences... The dying and watching of death, not so much but still, those had been good. And now this, being able to remember. To know...
The bottle of whiskey tipped and he was standing, approaching the doorway with curious intent in his eyes. Those two words "to know" rang in his head. Somewhere he could remember some animated cartoon droning on about how "knowing was half the battle" or something along those lines. That wasn't what knowing would be to him. It would be a change from all of the mystery and (literal) fogginess of the situation.
A twinge of sadness pressed down on Bones, if he went through, his questions would be answered and perhaps there would be a higher plane waiting for him upon arrival. Then to leave his friends, well, more like acquaintances which he had enjoyed the company of.
They'd have to go anyway. How astute of him. Maybe then Kirk and I can have that drink.
Bones smiled and approached the door.
"Boldly go."
And that was the end of that sentiment.
Then there was a blinding white light.
Until finally, nothing - a simple blackness - as the existing body of Bones, Zeta Six, the medic with such lively bandages, vanished completely without a trace.

[A-Eleven entering from Zombies vs Squads]
A-Eleven opened her eyes. She was mildly surprised to see herself back in the Lounge, the same one as before. Only mildly surprised.
"Must have died," she muttered, giving her limbs a bit of a stretch. It seemed like things were back to normal, judging from the feel of things. Had that all really just happened? Had she really been in a dead and decaying body? Surely it hadn't been her own, seeing as her original body was well...in with all that mush in that room. Had it been her own? What about all that brain nonsense? Had she really wanted....A-Eleven shook her head and inhaled deeply. It felt like it had been more of a dream than anything. She would continue to tell herself that.
She glanced around the room. Others that had signed up were here, and some were going through the door. The door. Eventually, they would all leave through the door. Couldn't stay here forever, could they? She smiled a bit. She didn't know if she was ready to leave quite yet, though. This room was relaxing, and she certainly felt like she needed a moment.
Alpha Red! She spotted the color of her old squad, and was pleased to see that only was it an Alpha, but Phoenix. A-Eleven might not have talked too much with the girl, but still. The memories of the earlier goodbyes flashed through her mind. She wasn't good with goodbyes. Even if she hardly knew the person, she didn't like saying goodbye. (Or was it that she didn't want to say goodbye to herself?)
She went and stood near Alpha Two. "That didn't take too long." Thinking back, A-Eleven decided she was happy about that.
"It looks like everyone is headed back here."

ZOne looked around, watching as the crew disappeared, and returned sometime later. She saw people she knew vanish into the doorway, and people she didn't.
Not one of them gave her a moment's look.
No one did.
She chuckled softly to herself. She really was no good if no one could even see her. ZOne looked at the door, nothing inside her but a wish to just remember who she was.
She walked over to the door silently. There was no one to say goodbye to. Bones had already left. There'd never really been anyone to say goodbye to. She simply was a number and a symbol and a tiny, tiny girl.
"The door to light..." she said softly. She took a breath, a much unneeded one and stepped into the light.
And faded out of existance once and for all.

Delta One could barely hear the others speak anymore, because she had found herself fixated on the door since learning of what lay beyond. Slowly her hand slipped off of Eta Sevens shoulder as she studied the open doors appearance. The answers to everything lay beyond there? She was just about to take a step towards it, when Beta Four jumped up and ran through. That made her hesitate, and shocked her into remembering where she was and who she was with. Shaking her head slightly, she looked over at the group. She felt a little shakey, but there was a smile on her face behind the mask that she still wore, even in death. "I....I think I'm going to go through." She nodded at Eta Seven, a little sadly, then gave her a quick hug, whispering "Remember, it's ok now...just let it go." then stepping back from her, her eyes sweeping over the others still in the room, before nodding. "Right, well...here we go!": With determination, she strode over to the door, pausing at it's opening. Then, with a deep breath (why did she bother, she was dead and didn't need to breathe. How silly!) she took her last steps, through, and to the otherside. She was ready to remember everything. ((Delta One is concluded. Solo post to come sometime today))

Bee didn't attempt to stop before as he ran towards the door - maybe she should have...but why? They were all going to go through it eventually and honestly now that she had learned that Bix had escaped the gym to live longer on the island there wasn't anything holding her back from walking through that door either.
As Before vanished Bee glanced back to Thor "I think ts time for me to go too - thanks for the help back in that gym Thor just wish we'd managed to get out" nodding once to him in Farewell she turned and strode towards the door herself, vanishing into the inky darkness after only a moments hesitation at the threshold
