The man standing in the doorway lingered there for another long moment. He studied the tables... which at this point had been relieved of all of the pill bottles that had been sitting on the table, so it was as though there never were bottles on the table. Then he looked around the floor. No open doors, everything still looked locked.

Not here...

Hesitating another minute, the man turned to walk back out of the room. A voice buzzed in from a communicator he had attached to his belt. "Have you found them yet?" a woman asked.

"Not yet." the man replied. "There is only one way out of this area now. And it's my understanding that the security cameras DO work around the exit. Correct?"

"Yes."

"Then you'll see them if they try to leave. They're here somewhere." he replied as his shadow faded from the doorway. His footsteps moved down the hallway.

As expected, putting himself out in the open caught the attention of both whoever was monitoring the security cameras, and the man who had passed by. The two girls poked their heads out from their hiding spots just far enough to watch Octavious walk back past their doorway and down the hall towards the Count.

"Great... now what?" Rosie 1.0 asked.

"Well...I guess we find the exit and go into hiding above ground or something." Rosie 2.0 replied, quickly moving to the table next to her ink-powered twin. She picked up the money and carefully counted through it. A small smile on her face as she did so. "Then again...if he has this much on him as pocket change, it might be worth our while to keep him around a little longer." she said with a smile.

"What can we do?"

"Well...we get your medicine out of here first. Maybe through one of those transportation shoots and come back for it. Lets just hope they don't kill him until we... or me... can come back and try to get him out."





Meanwhile, Octavius had caught up to the Count. He stopped in the hallway and crossed his arms as he watched the other man inspect the door. "You've caused quite a bit of trouble." he said calmly. A little too calmly for someone who appeared to have absolutely no weapons at all. "All this for a child?"

Octavius gave a low chuckle. "You're brave... I'll give you that. But unless you have something other than you're little arrows to work with, you are going to have considerably more trouble dealing with me than you did my clone outside." He replied. "One... there's really no way out of here other than through me. Two... there will be a multitude of guards waiting for you by the time you get to the other exit, should you manage to slip by me. Three..." he said, then gave the man a visual of what "three" was.

There was a loud metalic crunching sound from down the hallway. Several after that. Soon bits of metal began to float through the air towards the two of them. The scrap and broken bits of metal bent and twisted around one another, creating four long and jagged "arms" that wrapped around the man's waist. The ends of the arms then split, giving each one several "fingers".

It was his understanding that the... what the women called "original" Otto Octavius... was a normal man. He, on the other hand, had discovered that he had mutant abilities not long after his metal arms had been grafted onto his body. And it wasn't long after they were removed from his body... that he discovered what his mutant powers could really do.

Again, Octavious chuckled. "Go ahead and try." he replied. The metal arms around him screeched as the scraps of metal scraped against each other. Each arm moving and bending in front of the man's prone form, giving the Count a much harder target to try and hit.

The next moment one of the lower arms shot out towards the Count. The sharp fingers of the makeshift limb aimed for his bow.

With the bow out of the way, all four arms moved aggressively towards the Count. The man on the other end of the arms had a small but noticeable smug grin on his face. He could have spoke, he had a few things he could have said. But he chose not to. Making sure that this intruder was dead or captured would be the first priority. Which outcome would depend on how much resistance the man put up. If he was going to be too much trouble to keep down, Octavious didn't feel like dealing with that.

Besides... it had been too long since he'd ripped someone apart or impaled someone on one of his arms.

Otto chuckled again as he began walking towards his captive. Giving his metal arms more room to move if needed. "Yes, fortunately you wasted all of them on your way through the building. Though I'm still not convinced that metal arrows would have done much to me." he said.

The two arms holding the Count's wrists snapped him forward and away from the door. the remaining two arms wrapped around the Count's torso to lift him off of the ground. The door behind the count began to groan and shift until it finally fell away from the wall. Floating in the air. The door tilted to the side, allowing Otto to walk through with the Count in toe. Once they passed through, the door turned again, and was again slammed into place.

"Probably the one shot you shouldn't have wasted." Octopus said as he carried the Count down the hall. Rather than continuing down the rout he and the two children had taken, Octavius turned and used a security pass to open a heavily locked door to the right of them. The door opened, and they began moving down a purely metal hall way. It was an empty hall... only another locked door located at the other end. A pass was needed to get through that door as well.

Once through though, it was clear why there was a double secure measures were taken for the hall.

To either side of the next hall, were large, heavily secured doors. Each one with a small window to peer inside the room, each with a number plate above the door. Small files sat next to each door, with a security pass lock on the other end of the door. Safe to say this is where they were keeping the experiments. It certainly looked as though they were patient / prison cells.

"Octavius" Doctor Octopus corrected as he continued with the Count down the hall. "And I should think that you would enjoy the more pleasant ambiance of the hallway. The rooms themselves to have a bit of color to them, unfortunately nothing to sway outside the lines of patient torture room." he continued.

Soon they came upon a room that Octavius seemed to want access to. His access card wasn't quite allowing him in, and he had to wait for whoever was at the security room to unlock the door for him. Once the door was opened, Otto led the Count into the room first. Inside were two metal table beds. Both with a slew of metal cuffs and leather straps, ensuring that escape would be rather difficult. Both also had a fresh stain of blood trailing down from the head of the table to the floor. What was different was that one table still had someone strapped to it while the other was empty.

It was a woman, short black hair and blue eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. She was unclothed save for a small blanket that was draped over her lower half. Sitting on her chest, covering the vast majority of her upper half, was a strange alien plant looking... thing. It had beautiful roses on the top of it, then long thorny vines wrapping around the woman's frame. It looked as though it was... draining the life from her. If the color of her skin and bright veins near the vines were anything to go by.
