Yvette smirked. She was getting him closer to coming onto her side. She needed a strong ally to help her in the fight against tradition. "I heard any Spanish man is a good lover, maybe if you're lucky you'll get to find out if the same is true for a woman." She flirted. She wouldn't go that far anytime soon. She didn't want to end up like her parents and having a baby while still in high school. "But for now I have a question for you. In your opinion would you marry for love or would you have your parents tell you who to marry? Why can't I marry who I love? Am I a fairy tale princess who doesn't get to meet her prince charming?" She asked him. He would at least have a heart to listen to a love-sick maid's sad tale. "I don't want my father to think that just because I'm dating one guy that I'll end up marrying him. I don't care if the guy I marry is a Siren or a werewolf. I just want to marry the person who I love." Now it was time for the kill of her other half of the motive. "I also want to send a clear message to my father that I think he should have married my mother. It was her that he loved and she loved him back, but that wasn't a fairy tale and there was no happily ever after."

The name is Caesar.

Regaining his composure as Yvette ressumed flirting, he was just able to bring a small smile to his face before she asked her question. Once more, he forgot about their game as he considered the meaning behind her words. This was his princess, after all, obviously refering to the king's past. "Sirens have always married for love. It is in the nature of our race." He believed in this firmly, and that was why he could never comprehend the odd rules the royal family, and their society, had created. Could it be that Yvette was thinking just as he was? "A message? Ah, at the ball...to fight against the king's decision of heir?" Caesar was still under the impression that the infant prince would be named as heir, yet he understood the story of the king and his past lover, Yvette's mother. The more he considered Yvette, the more he realized that she was, indeed, rebelling. But instead of backing away, he stood straighter, a firm look in his eye as he told her seriously, "I will help you. Whatever you ask, princess."

Yvette was happy that he would help her. She wanted to make it a point to her father that he would never be happy with the choices he made and people would never support the bad choices. Tradition ruins people. "Thank you so much. I'm glad." She told him with a grin. "First off. I really do want to date you, but daddy can never know. Always in secret. If he ask you say you're dating Lyn and you could never marry or think of dating a half-blood it's not traditional. I want him to know that how he acts as a king reflects on everyone else. By saying my mother isn't good enough is like saying the same to me. Make sure to add in looks of distaste for me." She said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

The name is Caesar.

Truly, he was pleased to here her honest thoughts of dating, even if it meant hiding their relationship. What was most important was that she get her point across. Caesar believed that Yvette would make for a much better ruler than someone who was stuck under tradition. "Your friend, the princess Lyn. Is she not a half breed as well?" He found some concern in this plan, especially since it required that he defame his princess. "But if I say these things, I will need to reassure you that I do not believe them." He added after a moment, raising one hand to run through her hair. Giving her a small smile, he returned the kiss on the cheek with one of his own before asking her, "Do you wish to rule?"

Yvette smiled. His guy was good an finding problems with her plans. She could use someone like this. Lyn held her up with political power, Donny with magical power, Caesar would old her up with the power of his mind. "Good point. Well we can always say it's a thing, it's not like you're marrying her." It's like having a boyfriend just to try it out even though you know you'll marry your own kind. Then she heard the words that she would never have thought someone would ask her. Yvette looked into his eyes. "I'm not my father's child in this case nor my mother's." She answered him. "I don't like being the center of attention like my parents. I'd like to work in a restaurant and cook or something. I don't care who is the leader of the Sirens, as look as he or she listens to what people think and that tradition is not always the answer. However till my goal is met I can't stop. I want to make it better for my brother and sister, I can't let them be victims because of what my father has done. shouldn't they be allowed to marry for love?" Yvette told Caesar her honest answer. She loved her father, but he was not the nicest person.

The name is Caesar.

Nodding in agreement, Caesar found the solution to be suitable. Plenty of royal events required guests, and it would be easy enough excuse his presence by way of saying that he was with Lyndis for fun. Now, he just had to hope that Lyn would be alright with this idea. Refocusing his attention, he listened intently to her words about ruling. As he assumed, she did want to rule, but not for the glory and title. Yvette obviously wished to make her country a better place, not only for herself but for the rest of her family. "You are right. You and your siblings deserve that right."

Yvette was glad he saw it her way. "Thank you." She said as moved closer to and pressed her body against him. Sirens were flirts and Yvette knew how to just as much as any other siren. She leaned in and gave Caesar another kiss on the cheek. "So Mr Valdez we should ask each other questions to get to know each other better. For example what do you want to do in the future?" she asked the teen as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

The name is Caesar.

Smirking as they relapsed into their game, he continued to idly play with her hair, considering the many options his future held. "I think I'd like to help people. Perhaps become a doctor." It was a dream of his, as the career choice would allow him to move anywhere he pleased. "What of you, princess?" he asked after another moment, returning to question to Yvette. "Are there any other things you would like to do besides rule?" Enjoying the light pressure of her arms being around him, he let a hand drop from her hair to run his fingers across her spine, stopping halfway down so as to hear her response.

Yvette smiled. She kind of liked his touch. He was really gentle and warm. Donny's hands were different. They were really cold, but gentle. The princess liked warm hands better. "Well I want to fall in love, get married, and have at least one child." She answered about what she thought about her romance life. "I also want to be bring culture and education to our people. I want to be a people's princess and bring hope." She told him a bit of what it would like under her rule. She wanted to bring balance and harmony even if she didn't do something great and worth remembering.

The name is Caesar.

Yvette's first goal seemed like the kind that many shared, making her seem even more like a regular person; that would translate over to her ability to rule. She wanted to be a queen that was loved by her people, and Caesar believed that it was possible. "Culture?" he asked curiously, wondering just how she planned to do such a thing. Sirens were a race of tradition, and bringing in ideas from other places would be a difficult task. "Like new lessons for school?" That would be an interesting tactic, but it would appeal to the younger generation. If Yvette was going to change the way a society thought, her best bet was to target to the younger people in order to keep the older traditionalists in line.

It seemed that Caesar wasn't sure about what she was thinking when it came to culture. "Schools would only be part of the plan. In fact I will be looking over the school system and doing a change to it for the better, but I was thinking of having the royal family have little celebrations to recognize minority groups and allies. For example hosting an Elvish music concert for the public to come to honor citizens of Elvish decent." She told hi with a grin. No one could say no to something that was free.

The name is Caesar.

The idea of cultural advancement certainly appealed to Caesar, but he wondered how it would come off to other sirens. Of course, free events would draw out the more curious people, and he knew that with time, her plan might prove to be a good one. "I like the sound of that." He smiled, glad that she had explained her thoughts on the matter. With that question solved, he spoke up with one of his own. "Since you are a princess of Sirens, do you love to swim as we do?" A mischievous smirk lit up his face before he took her hand, walking backwards into the deeper section of the spring.

Cherry Ki

Yvette smirked as she moved with him. "If you mean do I know how to swim then yes, but my parents don't really let swim any more. My dad doesn't want me doing swimsuit modeling anymore." She answered. He had had flipped out when he saw the last time she wore a swimsuit on the cover of a magazine. "I'm just as strong as any siren.' She add.

The name is Caesar.

Chuckling as her father was mentioned, he asked lightly, "But surely swimming is no the same as modeling?" Still, he could understand the king's worry, since up until Yvette, most royal childreb were housed within the castle, and kept away from the media except during certain events such as dances. "Are you?" he teased when she spoke of her strength, although he was knew she wouldn't exaggerate that point. Perhaps she even had additional abilities such as himself, abilities that were rare even for a siren. "Do you have any other strengths?"

Yvette thought for a moment. Did she have other abilities? She wasn't sure. She was no different from anyone else she guest, but then she never knew many sirens. "I can steal cookies before anyone notices." Yvette let out a joke. "I also can defend myself with a killer scream and I can fly, but those are normal siren things right?" She said She wasn't sure.
