"If I were in your shoes Karn. I'd take the offer and get out of here. We have a large mess to clean up because of you, and bodies to bury." Paha couldn't help but glanced over to the fallen goddess's body. "No one here wants to be your friend, and no one here is going to feel sorry for you. Stop with the 'pity me' act and just leave before you and your lovely wife end up dead."
~ ~ ~ ~

Leonidas faked shock "You have grand kids?! Oh no, no, no. This whole relationship is done." He said with a large grin as he dismounted from his own horse. Though he couldn't see the people who were Ariasana's siblings he could hear them, his head turned to the women. "We heard it was pretty bad on our way here. Though I don't smell too much blood shed. Just ash." He wrinkled his nose hatting the way the burning smell hurt his nose.

"I think it's stupid to beli-" Leonardo cut short as he saw the blind man. "Uh excuse me. Goat I'm trusting you to keep the king safe." Quickly Leonardo strode over "Hey you old fat a**!" Leonardo taunted as he came up.

"Oh is that that bastered Leonardo?" Leonidas turned his head to the voice, his nose picking up the scent. Drawing his sword he held it up ready for a fight, snarled loudly, and launched his other senses taking over.

Leonardo was slow on the draw of his own sword and was forced to jump back out of the way and draw then attack growling as he launched after the blinded man.

Leonidas Blocked with a laugh, and broke out into a large grin. "You've gotten rusty." Stepping back he sheathed his sword. "Then again you never could beat me!" Leonidas announced and threw his arm around the younger man's shoulders and huged him.

"********. You smell bad old man." Leonardo pushed away and returned his sword to his hip. "Where the ******** have you been?"

Telmina shook her head as she walked over and joined her husband on the ground, laying next to him. "I am afraid I know nothing of it. Paha taught me as much as he could, but my knowledge is still limited."
~ ~ ~ ~

Maeve nodded her head "I know. And I understand your worry." Maeve sighed and kept pace with the young dragon. Glancing down she lifted the torn side of her dress to look at her once torn side. It looked like it was still healing, though maybe not as fast as before. Sighing she let the side fall back into place "But everyone is strong, we have to have faith that they will make it for us."
~ ~ ~ ~

"All over." Kadra said softly trying to keep him from sitting up a second time. He had called her name! Her heart did a weird little fluttering thing and she was left wondering what was wrong with her. "You can fix him? Really? Please help Attorra!"

Karn took Chikanno's potion with more gratitude than he'd like to show. He stayed silent as he considered the options put before him as the others spoke, then listened to Teinama's sentence. It was the exact thing he had been waiting for. A compromise. He was almost afraid that Teinama would have killed him outright.
Almost.
Karn thought for a few seconds, then nodded which was then followed by a bow. "You've already proven to be my better, Holy Father. I was mistakened." It left a bitter taste in Karn's mouth when he bowed again. He had certainly stopped to new lows today. "If you'll have me, Teinama. I'd like to return the souls that I had taken with my treachery, and be the first to aknowledge you as my god and I as your latest insect." he said as his gaze flickered to Paha. How Karn wished to lash out at all those in front of him, but doing so would be suidide for him and his wife, not to mention his unborn children. "If you'll have me, I'd like to return life to those lives I took in your name as finality of of my new position and begin my sentence this immediately afterward.."
It was a bit too formal for his tastes, but he was in Teinama's world now. He was a god anymore. He had no more independence to make his own choices in this matter.

Nexus shook his head as he looked away toward Afsana. "Either he's changed into a totally different person in less than a day, or he's already planning for his second coming. I don't like this at all." Nexus looked back at Karn, then his form curled within itself as he took himself away from the scene with a short-range teleportation.

Where to start...? He'd use terms she was more familiar with, for sure.
Eversor adjusted his head so he now looked at Telmina. "We're hatched from a bed of coals set at a specific levels. Hotter portions make us male, cooler female. From there we are cared for by our mother, Dam, and father, Sire, for the first two decades of our lives. Upon our twentieth summer, we're cast out of the nest and flung into the merciless world that we were to become masters of the flame. Survival of the fittest, and only the strongest survive. It's what weeds out the weak in our genes." he said matter-of-factly and not at all concerned with how heartless the act seemed in casting hatchlings from the safety of their parents to see which were strong and which were weak. Fate was a cruel thing...
"We have something called a Fire Tear that gives us our innert connection with the fire element. It allows us to create flame from nothing to turn our enemies to nothing. If a Fire Dragon cries, their Fire Tear is shed and their essence, their very soul is shed and cast back to nature. The physical body dies and the soul becomes one with the earth that gave all things life."
Eversor looked down now as he was about to recount something he wished nothing more than to disappear from his memory. He'd rather fight three of those hulking insectoid greater demons alone than tell of his hatchhood...
"I had sisters, you know. Brothers too. Thundaga and Numira. Firnin and Gharzvog. I was the runt of the nest. My father was Abraxas. My mother, Rariifa. Both were esteemed dragons with untold prowess in anything that made a fire dragon a fire dragon. Their reputations were made during the Scale War, the war between the many Chromatic Dragons and the much more powerful, yet less numerous, Metallic Dragons...
They all, all in my nest, my family if you will, had met their end at the claws of a crazed Bronze Dragon when I was of age of my 12th summer...
Eversor allowed his head to lay on the palace floor. His limbs felt so heavy. Telling his tale was more taxing than he imagined... Maybe even more so than the battle itself.

Adurnafor looked over Attorra from where he was. "He's not hurt from what I can tell... Are you ok, princess?"

Floradailsighed. "All we can do is have faith in them... If they can't stave off that unreal assualt, who's to same it won't stop there? It could be the end of the everything...", she trailed off as she refused to think about it. She caught sight of Maeve's wound.
Her wound. She was still wounded.
"Oh! How could I be so dense! I could heal you!" she said as she stopped in her tracks and delicately poked her paw at Maeve's wound. Tiny spores jumped from the dragoness's paw and joyfully attached to the human's rended flesh. The healing process took on a life of it's own as it sped to a tremendous rate until it was complete. "Sorry, it just never crossed my mind with everything on my mind..."

"I can allow that, but I suggest you make haste. I'm sure the others would like to see that I am dealing with the situation accordingly, and you waged a war with them." Teinama huffed, "So heal their friends, bring back their comrades- no funny business- and I'll hold my end of the bargain." Teinama stepped back to Chikanno's side and stood watch.

"I wish you would reconsider." Chikanno was on the edge of pleading. "Death was the aspect of mortal life that neither you nor Nadia could ever best, and now that it's gotten to her...to both of you really...I'd hate to see it consume you."

"Thank you for your concern." Teinama, arms folded, turned to face his friend but shook his head, "But you should have more faith in me than that."

"It's not completely sane, rational Teinama that I'm worried about, it's you as you are now. I just don't want you to do anything unreasonable." Chikanno sighed this time and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Don't let any of this consume you. Promise me that?"

"Get a room!" Yuli called from behind the war criminals. It certainly didn't help that Tiranna encouraged him by laughing.

Teinama just rolled his eyes. "I know better, Chi. Besides, I've always made my own path."

---

"Well I don't believe that even a defeat could change someone so dramatically-"Afsana turned to direct her reply to Nexus, but looked around when the spot where he was standing was now empty. "Uhm..." She then turned up to Ackitahr and asked again what was happening.

Ackitahr shrugged as best he could with the king still in his arms and cocked an eyebrow. Assuming she was talking about the lion, he replied accordingly. "Seems like...a family reunion?" He sighed, "Great...more lions."

"What more sons?" She looked back up to Ackitahr and managed to push herself free until he let her down. "Come now, you don't have to stand around here with me while the peace talks are in order. You're my general, not my advisory committee. Besides, I'm sure I can think of somewhere you'd rather be." Before he had the chance to protest, Afsana raised a hand to stop him. "Pretend it's an order and get out of here."

Ackitahr sighed and gave her a slight smile before bowing his head with a soft, "Yes, majesty," and taking his leave.

---

"Well this moment has been...magical." Ariasana bowed a head slightly. "If you'll excuse me."

Max nodded, "Yeah, I'll go make sure everything's alright with father. Codi, you can go in the palace and make sure everyone in there is alive. Good!" She darted before he could reply.

Codi sighed and pivoted toward the palace entrance. "Fine." He made his way in to find the collection of wounded and the healer. "Abarden! How goes everything here?"

---

Attorra was fading in and out of consciousness but he certainly could not manage to focus, let alone speak again.

Paha knew if Chickano couldn't get through to Teinama, nothing he would say could get through to him either, but it was worth a shot. "What do you hope to accomplish in taking over the Underworld Teinama? Really? There isn't much there, why would you want to leave your home for that place?"
~ ~ ~ ~

Leonidas could hear Arisana walking off, and oppted to stick with her, his luck she'd leave him there in G'reth and he'd have a hell of a time finding his way back. "I'll catch up with ya later kid." He said trotting after the women. "So what are we gonna do? We missed the fun stuff."

Leonardo rolled his eyes. His dad sure had an interest in the women. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the goat demon walking off. That meant the king would be alone, walking over he took up to her side. "Where is the goat going?"
~ ~ ~ ~

Abarden looked up from the bandage work he was doing on Skyden. "Everyone seems fine." He said with a smile before looking back to Skyden's torn leg.

"I'm going to bleed to death!" Skyden protested turning to look at Uru. "He's going to let me bleed to death Uru save me!"

"Skyden sit still. I can't take care of you if you keep moving." Abarden said patiently.

"Why won't you heal me!?" She tried jerking her leg away.

"Because none of the wounds I left are life threatening, and you need to learn a lesson about taking care of yourself." Abarden said gently pulling her leg to him once more.

Mavek moved up "I'm still offering to hold her down if you need me to." He said giving the girl a not too friendly look.

"Don't touch me!" Skyden hissed back. "No one but my love Uru is aloud a hand on me." She said smiling at said man, and blinking her eyes innocently.

"Why is the saber tooth then?" Mavek asked with a cocky smirk.

"He's gay he doesn't count."
~ ~ ~ ~

Telmina sighed and moved around to lay her head across Eversor's neck and flexed a wing to rest over his body. "I'm sorry my love, though I know sorry doesn't cover the sorrow you feel. Just know I am here. I love you, and we will care for our children, they won't know the horror of a life like that."
~ ~ ~ ~

"I'm fine." Kadra said quickly, it was clear she was going to be getting little help from the dragon. Shredding the hem of her dress Kadra made quick work of wrapping up some of the worst of the lacerations on Attorra. "I need to ask you to carry him back, would you be as so kind to do that?" She asked sliding a hand under Attorra's back and slowly working him into a sitting position.
~ ~ ~ ~

Maeve smiled at the younger dragon. "It's alright we all have alot on our minds." She sure did, worry for her mother was great, she was all Maeve had left. Well maybe not all. Ackitahr was quickly becoming part of her life, even if he was just a friend. "Thanks Floradail."

Reluctantly, Karn bowed to Teinama ever so briefly and turned around. He had only taken a few steps before he slowed to a stop again and turned his head to one side. "I do hope that you indeed reconsider. Not for my sake, but for yours. I know what to expect from the Underworld now, Teinama. It's already tainted me and I've came out unscathed. I'd hate to see another soul, even you, snared by it's treachery. For the Underworld, in itself, is a living beast that must be tamed. Remember me for what I was so many centuries ago. Now look at me. Would I have done such a thing before?", he then turned his head around fully, turning his body slightly, so his eyes met Teinama's.
"Now ask yourself, what could such a pit of evil and treachery to to one such as yourself? It seeks to lure the truest of us and twist us to it's desires. To kill my own little sister..."
It was too much. Karn turned again and strode away from, what he considered, a lost cause and lost soul.

Nexus's form then reappeared before Teinama and Chikanno. His face was one of confusion and readiness. He expected the worst from Karn, as he had from the first day he had served under the former god. "Care to explain what exactly you plan to do, your Holiness? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're letting him live after this?" he said before he indicated to the settled carnage on the now still battlefield.

Eversor sighed as well. "I love you too, and dearly hope they don't have to live through what I have. I'll make certain of it or... Or... It just won't happen. I'm not a helpless hatchling anymore. I'm sure I could take on any other dragon that lives now. Even a Metallic. Especially a Metallic!" he concluded his latest statement with a fierce growl that curled his lips back, revealing hundreds of ivory daggers. The growl slowly subsided as he wished to continue...
"Unfortunately, that's not what haunts my mind when I think of our children. It's the last moments of my parents' lives and the last few moments of that encounter that haunts me still on the full moon... My mother's skull was pierced with a giant spike from the ground when she fell from another of the same spike. My father's flesh was eatten away by the corrosive liquid metal that the Bronze had sprayed from his maw. His last words "Don't cry, Eversor. Never say 'die'."... And then he died and the Bronze chased a slaughted my siblings. Expect one, who had already shed their Fire Tear over the death of our parents... I hid from the monster from inside of my mother's skull...", Eversor wimpered and snuggled closer to Telmina. Never before had he felt so vulnerable since that merciless day when death had stared him in the face and he had ran with his tail between his legs...

Adurnafor's eyes rolled. He had hoped Kadra would've just taken his word and left him alone. He should've known better. "Oh! I didn't see that..." he feigned concern before he took a few steps forward. "I'll handle it...", then small tendrils of water had been confured from the earth around Attorra. Their gentle carress trailed over the man's wounds and aided the healling process with the guidence of Adurnafor's will. When the task was done, Adurnafor huffed and turned as he stalked back toward the palace.

Floradail only nodded with a quiet, "My pleasure." and continued to escort the woman to where the whole of the citizens had been evacuated. She made the mistake of looking back at where the bloody battle had been...
And froze in place.
"Where the ******** are all of the--! What the hell's--! But they were ********'--! Where's the battle?!"

"Just do what you've promised and save the lecture." Teinama snarled at Karn. "You won't need to concern yourself with the affairs of the gods for much longer, Karn. You're nothing but a man after today."

"Please don't encourage any more carnage." Chikanno muttered glancing at the man who had just appeared. "Teinama's made his choice, and I think it's a very wise one. We must be bigger than our enemies. In terms of wisdom and our ability to forgive them-"

"No one said anything about forgiveness."

"-and as I've said, we will not lower our own statuses to that of our enemies by becoming them."

---

"Where I told him to go. You want to relax? I'm a big girl. Pretty tough too." She winked and shaved him lightly on the shoulder. "Besides, his brute strength is not currently necessary in negotiations. And there's a little lady I think he wants to check up on." She stopped to see the woman approaching behind him, and another man after that. "Leo, you know them?"

"Afsana, Bunny. Look at you! You're so big. And thank god you look more like your father!"

Afsana paused, seeming very confused. "Bunny?"

---

Attorra grunted a bit, but he was still exhausted as he felt his pain had been alleviated. He looked up in time to see that it had been the dragin and thanked him with a low, "Thanks." He looked up to Kadra. "You're alright?"

---

Ackitahr luckily could rely on his sense of smell to find the girls he was looking for rather quickly. Luckily he rounded the right corner to find them safe. "There you guys are." He smiled when he saw them. "Everything alright?"

---

"I hate to be the one to have to break this to you, but Uru doesn't exist. He never did." Codi shook his head solemnly but shrugged, "Well, what are you gonna do?"

Leonardo cocked a brow "I know the blind old man, that's it." He said about as confused as the king.

Leonidas stopped by, what he could tell, was Arisana's side. "I'm not old." Leonidas protested lightly.

"You are to. Is that some gray hair I see on your head?"

"I don't know, I can't see."

The two men were quite for a long time, seemingly have struck an awkward moment. In unison the two started to laugh together.
~ ~ ~ ~

Kadra nodded and glanced up at the dragon as he tried to leave. "Adurnafor!" Kadra called after him. "Please, can you please help me get him back to the palace? I won't ask you for another favor if you'll help me with this."
There was no way, Kadra, a young girl could manage to get Attorra, a grown man all the way back to the palace with out exhausting them both. "I'll get you to a safe bed soon as we get back." She promised looking down at Attorra.

~ ~ ~ ~

Maeve was looking off in the direction the young dragon was looking, though she turned quickly to where the male voice came from "Ackitahr!" Maeve gasped, and ran to him, throwing her arms around his neck and pressing her lips to his quickly. "Thank the gods you're ok!"
~ ~ ~ ~

Skyden still held her smile "That's ok, it's not the name I fell in love with, it's the man."

Abarden couldn't keep silent any longer. "Who dropped you on your head when you were a baby to make you this damn crazy?"

"I was wondering about the same." Mavek laughed watching the princess's face turn angry.
~ ~ ~ ~

Telmina felt beyond petrified. She had never known their kind could be so mean to one another. "We'll make sure nothing like that ever happens to our young ones, together." She said softly nuzzling him, wishing she could take away his pain.

Karn chose to ignore Teinama. He didn't like not being a god anymore. The self-righteousness. The servents. The power. It was all gone, but he'd have it back soon enough. This was just another obstacle to over come. And he would come out an top a new man. A free man with power, like before his brainwashing.
But first... He felt he had an obligation to fulfill by apologising to the new King, Afsana, for being so weak as not to see Godith's influence over him. He quietly walked over, keeping his distance of several yards, and cleared his throat. He eyed the lion that he knew was going to react badly to his approach. "Excuse me, but I believe you to be my king within a few minutes. I'd like to introduce myself as myself. Not some brain-washed vagabond out for world domination in the name of a lying deity. I am Karn. Karn Yorveckt. I would like to apologise for the carnage I have insued upon the loss of my free will under Godith's mind games... I was not myself, else none of this would not have happened. I do not ask forgiveness, but understanding that I was not of my own mind.", he said as civilly as he would allow. Now came the doozy. "With your permission, I'd like to make reprimands by restoring life to those that had fallen defending you and banishing myself to the darkest corner of G'Reth."

A vein popped out in the side of Nexus's bald temple. He gave Chikanno and Teinama a hard look, then shook his head. "I'm still convinced it's a mistake."
Without any other civil words to say that he wouldn't regret saying later, he curled within himself once more and dissappeared with another short-ranged teleportation.
He reappeared beside Afsana once more. "Madness!!", he spat as he continued with a string of curses before he actually noticed that Karn was right there not too far away from them. "You!", he yelled, challenging the man's right to exist as he briskly walked toward the foul excuse of a sorcerer and drew the enormous, wicked greatsword that had been using before to kill legions of Karn's supposed subjects.
Karn only lifted his chin at the charging Nexus as the necromancer brandished his sword for a decapitating blow.

Eversor nodded. "Together...", he said sofly. He tensed as he felt his how sore his muscles were all of a sudden. "Together, I hope to build a nation for us. For dragons. We will be united under our wings as we built our race back up to it's former glory. It was a vision my father only thought was a vision. A dream. I feel that I'm supposed to do this--", he then raised his head and nuzzled it against Telmina's lower jaw. "--with you at my side. I plan to come to Paha with a request to leave his service for this reason. If that goes well, then I'll only have the King to persuade before the real challenge begins: Rallying every dragon within Karmae and G'Reth. I'd greatly appeciate your support, but you don't have to if you don't want to..."

Adurnafor growled again. Softly, but it was still a growl. This was really starting to bug him now. He turned sharply and came back to pick up Attorra between his jaws.
...
Alright, he used his water magic to create a soft barrier between his teeth and Attorra's flesh, just so the man wouldn't get any more hurt than he was now. Which was none. Thanks to Adurnafor. Who didn't really care what happened to this guy except for what Kadra would do if the dragon didn't help, or if he had accidently killed Attorra. Hmm, an accident...
Nope, he pushed the thought out of his mind and simply looked at Kadra with Attorra's middle and theighs in the dragon's mouth lengthwise. He tilted his head, as if saying what?

Floradail's outburst made her forest green cheeks turn an embarressed pink color. She'd never swore, but she had heard the other dragons do it plenty of other times, so... Well, she couldn't help it. She watched as Meave went to Ackitahr and embraced him. Floradail smiled. It was so sweet to see a couple like that. An experience like that...
Was likely never to happen to Floradail, she realized. Not until she was much older and could contend with the older dragon males. If any would be interested with her. She sighed at the thought of not being able share experiences with a male of her own age...

Afsana had a lot going on at this moment, enough to make any other woman's head spin. Before most of it started, however, she was still focused on the unidentified woman. Rather, she was focused on the previously unidentified woman. "Bunny. Only-"

"Daddy told you the bunny story? I know. You do you think taught him? Dare I age myself this way... I certainly don't want to." Ariasana sighed, "But I can't meet you without."

"Gran-" Afsana stopped when she noticed the previous combatant's approach. She quickly turned her attention toward him and heard him out. When he requested permission to bring back the fallen, she of course was hesitant but she glanced over to where Teinama was for approval.

Teinama gave the girl a slow, single nod as he silently ceded her the power to make her own choices about her kingdom.

Just as Afsana had turned her head to Karn again, she nodded to give him the permission he sought when another belligerent arrived. Nexus was back, and he seemed a tad more bloodthirsty than before.

It was Yuli who leapt between them, in his demonized form once more, he caught the cloaked one's blade with the palms of both, now clawed, hands. "That's my power!" He hissed. He shoved back with all his might to at least back the man away from the previous king of the underworld. "You can kill him later."

"I think we've had enough killing." Afsana barked at the new combatants. "Stand down!"

---

Codi rolled his eyes. "I'm afraid you must be delusional. It's not the name that's a fake, it's the monk and everything you thought you knew about him."

---

Attorra was still a bit out of his right mind to care what was happening to him, but he was pretty sure, whatever it was, was not normal.

---

Ackitahr smiled when the girl jumped him, but certainly didn't expect such a reaction from her. He didn't let much of his surprise show however, and continued to smile as he glanced down at her from his. "I'm glad you two are as well." He was seemingly speaking to both of the girls present, but he found it hard to tear his eyes away from Maeve in particular.

Just as expected Leonardo had his sword draw and was standing infront of the king, a loud warning growl rumbling through his chest at not on the king of the underworld but Nexus. He was glad for the demon jumping in and stopping the man from making a mistake. "You're a fool Nexus, put away your sword and step down, before you're forced to do so."

Leonidas raised a brow and leaned down to whisper to Ariasana "It seems your granddaughter has a lot to deal with."
~ ~ ~ ~

Skyden shook her head and tried to get her leg free of Abarden's care to go to the once monk. "No, no, no, I know you, not the person you were, I love you Uru." Skyden gave the man a small smile "Or Codi, I love you, the strange mysteriously strong man you are. No matter your name."

Abarden could help but feel bad for the girl, if only a little. She was clearly having a hard time adjusting to the fact she had been tricked.
~ ~ ~ ~

Kadra felt her heart race as she ran over to keep pace and get back to the palace quickly. "Can we maybe ride on your back? I can hold him on? That can't be good for him." She was near panicking with worry.
~ ~ ~ ~

Maeve smiled up at the demon. Like he himself, she was finding it hard to take her eyes off him. "Floradail kept us out of harms way." She looked over for a second to smile at the dragon. "Are you ok Ackitahr?" She was worried, he looked a bit tired, but she couldn't see any injuries that were life threatening but she wasn't sure.
~ ~ ~ ~

Telmina felt trapped, she loved Paha like a father, but Eversor was her husband. Either side she chose someone's feeling were going to get hurt. Though, she figured Paha would be more understanding. "I will do as you ask of me of course. I want our children to be in a happy home" She sighed and settled down completely. They had a long road ahead of them all.

Nexus disengaged his own blade from the monster's claws that now stood before him. "You intend to take his power? Pah! Don't you see that he's already started a ploy to bring obout our ends again? What if he succeeds then? Who's fault will that be?!", the necromancer said as he spun away from the beast to come back around and swing his abnormally large blade low to the ground, intent on severing Yuli's feet. He then followed it up with a slight changes of direction while still using the same momentum of the first swing to create a wide, latitude swing over his head followed by slash that would trace from Yuli's right shoulder to his left hip. Both ment to decapitate and rend in half respectively with deadly precision and rapid succession.

"My powers will go to Teinama. No one else. I think he's earned the right to personally take my abilities." Karn said simply as he, also just as simply, turned on his heel and walked back toward Teinama while the two fought each other. He stopped a short distance from him, then turned away from the Holy Father. He took the small, black, iron cage from his hip. It had always been there throughout his entire life as god of the underworld. Now it's final use by him was at hand as he openned it and the recently lost souls started to seep out of it. He laced the souls with strong portios of his magic so that the bodies that they returned to would automatically heal, so as not to lose the sould once more due to a broken vessel. The souls meandered here and there aimlessly until they had come back to their former bodies.

Infernara woke with a start. It had been the stranges sensation, what she had felt. She could have sowrn that she had felt the grip of death upon her, but here she was... Alive and well at the center of the battlefield. Strange... Her bones had been broken in many, many different places from what she remembered...

Gravagarra's eye slowly openned once again, but when he realized that there still may be a battle going about he had raised his head fully and stood at a battle-ready stance low to the ground...
But there was no battle. Not a single enemy was accounted for. Had he destroyed all of them when he had ouvercharged his magic? It seemed so. He rose into a proud posture and laughed. Not once did he question why he was alive again. Some thing s are better just left alone.

Eversor noted Telmina's sigh and realized what a difficult situation he must have put her in. He felt terrible for it, but he didn't think he could formulate a nation of dragons without her, or the children. "You don't have to if you don't want to, dear..." he said guiltily as he settled along with her.

Adurnafor looked at KAdra and shook his head slightly, causing Attorra's limbs that were hanging loosely from his mouth to do the same. He was actually enjoying this. Pitty that he couldn't eat him... No, that would ruin any chances he had with Kadra. He still layed down onto his belly a stretched out one of his hindlegs as a ramp so the former princess could climb aboard though. It wasn't like he could talk with his mouth ful...

Floradal chose then to take her leave after Maeve had said that the small dragon had kept her safe. Yeah right, more like everyone else that had been fighting. What had Floradail done? Nothing nearly as useful, that was for sure. "Yes, I lead her away to join the rest of the escapees, but it seems that we can all return... It was much faster than I thought... Ar all battles this way? Oh, nevermind. I'll just leave you too alone. I have to see which dragons had survived the assault...", she said with a weak smile as she trotted passed the two, but eventually broke into a full run in the direction of the palace.

Despite a bit of an effort to not take the full blows, Yuli was still significantly wounded by the aggressor. He snarled a bit, but all of his wounds were closing as fast at they had opened.

Teinama waited and watched as Karn kept his word about returning the souls. He, of course, waited for the recently deceased to awaken before he thought it would be best to take Karn's remaining powers. "Yuli, Nexus, knock it off I think we've seen enough fighting here." He rolled his eyes, "Besides, Nexus, Yuli's made entirely of black magic right now, even if you minced him he'd still pull himself back together."

"I said stand down!" This not being listened to crap was going to have to stop soon or Afsana might have to move to more extreme measures.

"Should I take care of it?" Ariasana raised a hand casually but Max was beside her to push her hand back down. "Why not?"

"Teinama's right. This all needs to stop. We're looking to put this place back together now, not take it all the way to the ground."

---

"Right. Okay." Codi shrugged it off casually as he glanced out through a window. "Looks like someone's raising the dead out there. That's good." He glanced over to the healer. "You don't have a good smoke on you, right?"

---

Attorra relayed an audible groan for a long moment before he became quiet once more. He sure was uncomfortable, but he wasn't sure why.

---

"I'm fine." Ackitahr assured the small girl, he then turned to the dragon who was speaking, but before he could reply, she had taken off. "Is she alright then? She seems...upset."

Leonardo darted around behind the necromancer as he was distracted by attacking the beastly man infront of him, and drew his sword holding it against Nexus's throat. "You heard them, stand down." Leonardo snarled in a low warning growl.

"Great, adding another sword is going to make this whole thing alot better." Leonidas said putting a hand on his hip and turning his head up to the sky. "When will kids ever learn?"

Abarden smiled sheepishly and sat up, pulling a rolled cigarette from a pouch on his side. "Here." He said holding out.

"I didn't know you smoked." Mavek almost growled, how many secrets did that stupid tiger have anyways.

"You never asked." Abarden said with a casual shrug of his shoulders. "Honestly I only ever smoke if I'm running low on energy. Helps to relax a bit." Abarden glanced over, Patilla still wasn't awake and he was beginning to worry.

"Smoking is hot." Skyden said smiling brightly at Codi, unaware of the tension between the tiger and lion.

Kadra crawled on quickly and actually began to crawl over the dragon's face to check on Attorra. She was mad at Adurnafor for the way he was treating him. "Please make this trip quick. I think he still needs help." And she wanted him out of the dragon's mouth as soon as possible.

Telmina could hear the hurt in his voice, and she'd do anything to keep it from there. "No I will help. I only want what's best for our kids. Really."

Maeve frowned at watched her race off. "I hope so." She sighed "How did it go? I'm guessing you won, because the whole place isn't destroyed by terrible monsters."

Nexus's eyes narrowed dangerously. "And you would all side with him?! The one who had intended on ending every speck of life within and beyond your borders?! You're all mad, I say! Even more so than him!", Nexus shoved his giant, black blade into his robes, of which it disappeared into, and bent Leonardo's sword so that it curled like a dying limb with his magic. He then shook Leo off of him and pushed him backward, turning toward him. "And I thought Lions were better than taking cheap shots. You're like any other scavenger, from what I've seen. You wouldn't dare face me in open combat with my spells and steel.", the necromancer spat before turning on his heel and walking a short distance away before turning toward the group again.
"You'll all regret this decision bome day. I hope your decendents aren't as forgiving as you lot are."
He turned again, furious, as he walked off once more away from Karn and the group now behind him. Karn couldn't be allowed to live. Not after the treachery he'd caused. In the next few days, Nexus would hunt the powerless Karn down like an animal and slaughter him and his family as thus. This he thought as he stalked away at a brisk walk.

Floradail ran and panted, but she didn't care. All she cared about now was whom of her species had survived the attack. She ran the whole way to start looking about the palace. In the immediate area outside of the palace, she found no luck which worried her. She brightened up when she made her way inside the palace and saw Eversor and Telmina together. "Eversor! Telmina! Thank goodness you're both alright! Have you seen the others?"

Eversor nuzzled his snout against Telmina's cheek as he purred. "Whatever's best for the hatchlings, I wouldn't have any other way.", he said before he heard Floradail run in practically beaming happiness to see them. When she asked about the others, the black dragon raised his head and looked at the Flora Dragon for a moment, then looked back at Telmina. "Yes, it's great to see you too, Floradail. Good to see you well and unharmed.", he said before he brought his voice down into a hushed tone to speak only to Telmina. "Should we tell her..? Or show her..?", he asked his mate about informing Floradail of the other dragons' fates. Adurnafor was still unaccounted for...

Adurnafor's eye rolled up and narrowed at Kadra before he flicked his head upward, sending the woman sliding down the back of his neck. He was careful to roll his long neck in a way that she wouldn't fall off though. A light growl escaped from between his jaws that still held Attorra. The water dragon poised his body as he coiled and clenched all of his muscles before he suddenly made several bounding leaps. In no time at all, they were outside of the palace before a dragon could count his leaps on three paws.
He then sat down much like a cat and placed Attorra on the ground in front of him and the palace. "He's quite fine. Just hasn't gained consciousness yet.", he said before lifting, what many would ague to be, his chin. His bottom jaw popped out from under his upper jaw and jutted outward. It was the equivilent of a dragon's pout.

Karn closed the small cage with a sigh. Likely was it that this was the last time he would touch the artifact, a container from which Death kept ethereally maintained and filled. Death had been cheated once more, and by his own master.
Just then, a skeletal hand reached up from the ground and openned up to Karn, palmed face upward. Karn's brow dropped, but he nodded none-the-less. Death wanted his arfifact back evidently. He had only lent it to Karn when the sorcerer had cheated him time and time again to where the diety had finally agnowledged Karn as his better. The tables had turned now. Karn was at the whim and grace of Death now.
Karn whistfully dropped the tiny cage into the outstretched hand and turned back around to walk back toward Teinama.
"It is done. Will you take my power or will that... thing?", he said as he tipped his head up in the direction of Yuli.
