"I'm sorry...sir. I didn't know you were the Captain." He was about to answer his question when the door to Alistair's chambers opened and the King stood there, berating the two. Lusacan took off his hat, his medium length auburn hair falling into his face. "My liege, I apologize. It was all my fault for this incident." He raised himself and placed his hat back on, shading his face again.

He could feel it. In truth, Brydent had lied, and he knew the King was here. But there was no sense in inviting some fledgling vampire to meet him. When Alistair rose to understand the commotion around him, Brydent became fully alert, his body lowering. The first thing Alistair would see when he opened that door was his Knight, kneeling respectfully with his fist against his chest. Brydent was exceptionally loyal, a part of his biologically engineered 'pack mentality'. Alistair was the man in charge, and Brydent could only live as his instrument. However, while he was loyal, he was never the type to degrade himself to avoid pressing buttons. He spoke truthfully. "I'd rather shed the blood of your enemies than watch your blood be shed, my King. If one comes here to invade your space without benediction, then I will always make the same choice: killing them." He stood up, staring into the eyes of the King. Then, with the pause of a breath, he stepped aside.

The vampire apologized to him, which only caused for the Lycan to scoff. "Guess you should inquire before willfully ignoring my words," he said. The fairhair pressed his back against the wall, and engaged in what he engaged in best; guarding. He would not speak so long as no one spoke to him. He only watched the King, and kept aware of everything else.

It was good that Brydent felt the need to protect Alistair, as every soldier should, let alone the captain. But Alistair was capable of handling the occasional riff raff assassin that was sent to kill him. But, it just so happens that this boy was not an assassin, just a boy who overstepped his limits. People who overstep their boundaries in Nocturne tend to be made an example of. "He's right you know. Maybe I could have been around, seeing you head straight toward my office. Do you think I would have stopped with one attack? You're a fledgeling, baby vampire. There isn't a lycan alive that doesn't want to kill you, so don't give them a reason. When asked a question around here, it's better to just give a straight answer, or you will run into this same situation again and again. So... What is it that you want from me. It better be something that just about no one else can help you with, otherwise I'll leave you with Brydent, who just about wants to kill you already."

"I want to learn to harness my anger, my rage, my wrath, and turn it to my advantage. To turn it into a lethal weapon that makes my enemies run in fear of their demise, and be able to see their eyes as they realize their end is near. I want to learn something only you can teach me, my lord." Lusacan was speaking in the think, harsh tongue of Demonica as he said that. A side of him leaked out as he spoke, his demeanor turned violent, evil, and cruel. It showed a bit of his truer nature, his baser nature. His eyes seemed to glow red...it was a truly...Nocturne like sight.

"Don't think I forgot your question, Captain. The answer is simple, I don't want war, nor love or harmony. I want death. I want to watch my enemy as despair fills his body when he realizes that the only way out is death. I want to taste their blood as the slowly die an excruciating death. War...war is too messy, it leaves too much up in the air. Decimating the enemy without giving them the chance of war, that is what I want." Lusacan's truly...demonic side was coming out now that the King was there. He needn't hide behind the well mannered cockiness that he displayed to most people, he could truly be the monster he was.

Amias made no attempt to hide his presence as he approached the front doors of the King's estate. After a faint knock, one of the building's many maids--or bloodbags, knowing the owner of the grand property--answered nigh instantaneously. "I see your speed at the door hasn't diminished, Amala." Without speaking, the woman bowed courteously and allowed him in. For many of the longstanding members of Nocturne, this was the typical greeting. When the maids knew for certain that the entity at the door meant no harm, they would simply let them in without a second thought.

Amias was over eight hundred years old, and had never himself caused an incident in Nocturne, so his presence was treated with the most lenient nature of most anyone in the nation. It was naught but a brisk walk that brought him to the King's chambers. It hardly surprised him that the room was already occupied by a couple of people. One of which he recognized as one of Nocturne's Captains, Brydent. Thankfully, this was the man he was looking for. Alistair was also in the room, but there was one person he didn't recognize.

"Not to be rude, your majesty, but I would like to have the audience of your Captain for a while. Not an issue that requires your attention; I'm sure you have other things to do at the moment." Without another word, Amias simply bowed humbly and stepped out of the doorway, hoping that Brydent would follow promptly. Movement text.

His attention faded away from this current debacle and approached the newcomer, who he could smell, hear and see coming up the stairs and into the hallway even though he was not in plain "sight". He did not, however, recognize this creature. He could feel a very strange energy, it was not like a supernatural's or a human's. It was a monster's signature, like the sort that feasted on guts and couldn't be controlled. But it was humanoid, and it was not violent. It was allowed through the estate peacefully. Strangely. Next thing Brydent knew, he was walking up the stairwell and coming straight for the hall. The Captain slightly shoved Lusacan aside, and stepped in-between the monster and the King. He stared at his shadow, the up and coming silhouette, then placed his hand against the hilt of his blade the moment his eyes made contact with this... 'man'. Surprisingly enough, though, he wasn't here to see the King. He was here to see Brydent. Brydent, who was only a marshal, a commander of footsoldiers. A guard. An assassin. A mercenary. He had no political bindings to this estate. Perhaps this monster sought to request his services, then. But that was strange as well, because of the precipitous manner in which he requested it.

"What do you need me for?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. The expression on his face was mocking in all honesty, as if he didn't regard the request for his attention with a grain of respect. "If you're looking for that young, strong male archetype to get it on with, then I'd suggest the red light district. I'm busy." Quite obviously he didn't really believe that the Pagan was looking for an escort. But obligatory jokes were always appropriate when an old man came asking for services.

When Bryden's response was so...belligerent, Amias had to consider for a moment that Pagans weren't entirely respected as they used to be. "Relax your blade arm. Since your conversation was apparently so interesting that you found it appropriate to turn away as soon as I entered, you could say that I've come here to relieve you of your boredom. I was told that you'd be the first person to talk to when it came to being assigned official missions. I've gotten tired of this basic drabble that everyone can get in on. Perhaps you can help me with that?"

With all of the Vampires in the city, Alistair had to be approached by the most cliche vampire of them all. This was a living example of how the Humans viewed the Vampires. "Not on a personal level or anything, but if you keep saying s**t like that, you're gonna get punched for sounding lame." It was the truth. Vampires haven't been about death and desolation since before Alistair was born. A real vampire was... tactical. And saying s**t like that was about as tactical as a cat walking into a Yuranian restaurant. "What? Do you want anger management or something? Just go to the Red Light District and look for a cheap whore, I'm guessing that's all you can afford with your salary." Alistair played dumb, but he knew exactly what the man wanted. But if he passed his personal style to everyone who asked, it wouldn't be so personal anymore. Every King had something that made them powerful, something up their sleeve. Alistair just so happened to have two styles that dramatically changed his style of fighting.

"No, Lord Alistair, I don't want anger management nor a cheap whore, the ones in this city are...'cheaper' then most. What I want is to learn from you. I've heard the rumors of how you harness your rage when you fight, and my sources don't lie." He had regained his composer and reached underneath the poncho and took out another one of his cigars and started to twirl it around in his fingers. "Do you mind, M'Lord?"

It was easy for Alistair to simply say no. It was his style, and for that reason, it should remain so. But something clicked in his mind. This boy wanted to control his anger and harness it. The early stages of the style only enhance that rage so that the user could draw more power out. He'd be like a ticking time bomb. Funny to watch. With a smirk, Alistair nodded. "Sure. I'll give you the first two stage of the Fists of Wrath style. They should be quite straight forward." He took a few steps back into is office before turning around completely to gather the hand written notes he prepared while making the style. He, of course, no longer needed it, but preferred to not have to write them again. "I want this back when you're done, or you will have to answer to me." He continued to speak as his eyes began to glow a bright azure blue. "And something tells me that you don't want to see what kind of power I have... Understood?"

Lusacan took the papers that Alistair handed him and placed them in a pocket under his poncho. "You will have them back the moment I'm done with them...I have no desire to be on the receiving end of your rage." He bowed and started to walk down the stairs, to learn, and to return.

Lusacan returned to the Akasun Estate with the papers that Alistair gave him. The vampire's eyes glowed slightly with his newly harnessed rage. He went right up to the door to Alistair's room and knocked on it twice. No he wasn't going to hand the papers over to anyone else, he didn't have a death wish.

Upon seeing someone head up to Alistair's office, a quiet figure merely watched from down the hallway. Only speaking up when the boy's knocking broke the silence. "The king is busy. What do you want?"

Lusacan turned to look at the figure. "I have documents that I'm to hand to the king, and only the king."

Once Lusacan spoke again about the king, the figure identified himself. "I am Soren, first of the King's personally trained Phantoms. I told you the king is busy, give them to me. There isn't a word on those papers that I don't already know. "
