Elzario was glad to see that the villagers had grown to understand why he got his company involved in the fields. He never intended to take away anyone's job, just make it easier to take care of the field, spread their numbers slightly, and increase the quality with their knowledge.

Admittedly, he didn't come out here often after having a branch built nearby, but he made sure those stationed out here understood that they weren't to harass the villagers, else they'd be run out of town. Now, maybe he was thinking that things had smoothed over enough to attempt the workers being taught what the villagers knew. The more people who knew, maybe more lives could be saved. Less tears for everyone over the lack of quality medicine for manageable prices. If everyone could have access to healthcare, then all he had to do was make medicine that anyone could access.

He gave a wave and calm smile to the expectant mother. It briefly reminded him that he was soon reaching the age where everyone would start asking him about settling down. A wife and a kid was something he could never picture himself with. Even now, he was drawing a mental blank. Then again, why bother with having kids when he technically had two of them under his household at this very moment. Cole's return and with a younger brother meant that his humble apartment may not accommodate them all any longer. And Cole was human now, in a manner of speaking. He had a lot to teach him...but at least he'd be able to keep him close.

The woman waved her hand, motioning her to come and join them. This too was a first. While the children quickly accepted Elzario and his men into their lives, the adults had not. They had only recently started accepting the company's presence. Now one of them wanted to welcome Elzario into village life a bit. But whether this happened today or not was up to Elzario. The woman wouldn't pursue it and would just continue on in her day. She was to teach the children about what they did in the fields.

One of the children picked up on what the woman wanted and started yelling for Elzario to join them. This had a ripple effect and soon all the children were yelling for him and waving him towards them. The woman stood quietly among the excitement and waited patiently. She'd let the children get this out of their systems before regaining their attention.

Elzario was a bit surprised when the woman gestured for him to join them. It had been a long time since he'd been shunned by the villagers for the changes he brought about. Though, the pain from where words still lingered in his head like it was yesterday. But it was the sound of the children's voices that finally got him to walk over. "...mind if I listen in?" He asked with a half-smile.

The woman looked up at Elzario. She was short and of the older crowd. "Not at all. That is why I waved you over," she said, raising her voice above the triumphantly cheering children. She quieted them down with a couple of stern words and herded the group to the edge of one of the fields.

"Who can tell me which part of the growing process we are currently in?" she asked the group.

At once, many small hands shot up. Some even bounced while shouting "Pick me! Oh pick me!" The woman's lips curved in a smile at their excitement, but she didn't pick anyone.

She was giving the children who looked unsure a chance to figure out a response. She glanced up at Elzario as well so he would know he was also welcome to participate.

Elzario actually got a thinking look on his face as he seriously thought about what was going on. Winter was beginning to end and plants were already retaking back the land. Technically, this would be the best time to start seeding the ground in preparation for the harvest season...if their village were normal farmers. But since their plants were highly medicinal, the cold weather meant...

Elzario opened his eyes as he had a pretty good guess. Raising his hand a bit, he answered in a calm voice. "Winter is almost over, so...harvest season, right?"
