I do have the characters drawn up though, so the Pokemon RP has more the feel of an actual plot; before, necessary trainer interaction. All I've left to do is the pokemon nurse, police, and a rival team gang outfit. Technological gadgets, two villain teams, in an area somewhere near the middle of the map.

Definitive randomazation as to where you're actually from, and uniforms for villains, police, nurses, plant workers, Academy kids, breeders, and shopkeepers..
-If you're playing one, we know who to look for; if you need an NPC, it's easily identifiable.
-Tech gadgets for Trainers, and spiffy new tech for..generic objects?
....so far, just a Holographic projection type TV that has three prongs and comes out like bunny ears, but I'm thinking eye scans and tat-identification. It borders Armageddon expectations, but these would have blood type/medical concerns/contact information if you were mauled..fun stuff like that.
I have a very basic skeletal storyline that is completely spoil-proof.

Like I said, still working on it. I'm still plotting random events out and contemplating whether dice should be used for all poke-counters or just specific and rare pokemon that are given out by me.
