Technicolor - Vivien Lord
|
Posted: Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:17 am
Vivien has been unpacking since she got back from the store and having finished, Vivien decides to colorize her new home. Even with all of her colorful furniture and knickknacks, the place seems...unlived in. Looking around the bare, white walls of her new living room she tries to decide what color her walls should be. She considers apple green for a moment, the color of healing. No, she doesn't need healing. She picks apart several colors before she finally settles on sapphire blue. It protects and calms...and helps with transitions. "Yeah, I'll go with blue." she says thoughtfully. "but white's a protective color too." she thinks. Vivien mulls this over for a few moments before standing next to the door and concentrating on coloring the walls on her left and right a beautiful, vibrant shade of blue. Her eyes glitter intensely for a moment, then back to normal. The walls look just as pretty as she imagined them. Leaving the forward and back walls white, she decides she'll color the furniture various shades of blue and lavender and she'll accessorize with white. She does this slowly, picking each color for each item seperately. Vivien smiles, looking over her work proudly. "I think I deserve a break." she announces to nobody in particular. Vivien loves books about superheros. She's always loved them. She walks over to her bookshelf and runs her fingertips over the novels. "Callye, Carson, CAT!" she smiles, picking the book "Cat and the Harlequins" from the shelf. It was a collection of the adventures of her favorite superhero. He wasn't the kind that wore tights and had a funny name. He was just The Cat. Always nicely dressed, rarely without his fedora, he had completely stolen her heart as a little girl and she regressed into that little girl every time she read about him. She loved the sense of humor that permeated throughout the stories. She's soon lost in a fight between her hero and a harpy. You wouldn't know she was alive if it wasn't for the occasional giggle.
OOC: Cat's the main character (and the author's sort of alter-ego) in a novel a friend of mine is writing.

((OOC: Heh, no prob. Wait... *checks the allegiance list* When did Raine become a part of the X-Men? *looks confused* Oh well.))
Inviting? Hah! Distrust was then only thing the girl received when opening the door. What she saw was this: a nineteen-year old with cruel almond-shaded crimson-hued optics, pale skin, and garbed in black and red gothic clothing. Beside her stood an almost wolfish creature, about eight feet long from nose to tail and two-and-a-half feet at the shoulder, with white fur and silvery markings and ice blue eyes.
"I don't know...can you help me is more-so the question."
The voice was bitter and as cold as those steely eyes; she was obviously someone who's seen much of the...ah...bloodier aspects of life and survived. A true-born assassin.
The canine laid his ears back against his head, a low and dangerous snarl rumbling from his throat as he stared down the other female two-legger. While he disliked humans, he hated mutants more-the only reason he had stayed with Raine for so long is because of the fact that they had a deal worked out. He listened to her, and she didn't kill him...
((OOC: Apology for the uber short post, eh, got to get going. I'll try for the next to be longer...))

Regina nodded to Penny and headed off down the hall with anna. "Well, this should be some interesting homework. I've never... really considered it before so it'll need some thought. Whatcha think about it?''
Gen nodded to the new girl and looked out the window as she did. "I can probably show myself around. Unless there's something you guys don't want me to find... of course."

John woke up and looked at the clook. 12pm. "Wow, have I really slept that long?" he thought to himself. He was about to make a move to roll out of bed, when he realize that Noko's head was resting on his shoulder. He layed back down and decided not to move for a little while longer. Besides. with the exeption of cleaning and remaking up the house, I really don't have anything to do, he thought to himself... that was until he noticed the dried up blood from one of her cuts. That's when it all came back to him. "That boy," John thought, "He's the one who's at fault for this! Him and his, 'I hate mutants', he's the reason why she got all of these cuts in the first place. Well I didn't get a chance to kill him before, because of those X-men geeks, but now that we're finally out of the mess that they got us into and Noko's safe here, I think I'll fulfill my promise to that boy about burning him and his family alive. Maybe that'll teach mutant haters, not to mess with me, or to lay a finger on my girlfriend. John moved slowly until he was out of bed, making sure not to wake noko. He then left her a note saying that he was going head hunting, and why. After leaving the not he headed out the door, and headed towards the highschool.

OOC: Going through a really busy few weeks here myself so I can only throw out a short one right now. Nice post, Kadiska. I like your style.
IC:
"I don't know...can you help me is more-so the question."
Penny shrugged, "I'm not one to judge that. But Xavier seems to be in the business of helping people. Would you like to come in and meet with him?"

It was kind of boring now that Jacen found himself sitting on the park bench. People seemed to be somewhat getting away from the area now for whatever reason. Maybe there was a massive call for food? He didn't know, and he didn't care. He was tired. Dead tired.
Good god...., he thought as he lit up a cigarette, As much as I want to relax...something needs to happen.
Not that he was looking to start any trouble, but he wasn't exactly wanting a quiet day. He was about half-way through his cig when he heard a little girl ask what he was doing. Then, he heard her mother say something rather snide. "He's just being the filthy smoker that he is."
Immediately, Jacen glared at her. "'Scuse me, Ms. Stick-Up-My-Arse. I DO bathe regularly, so for your information, I'm a clean smoker." He took one long drag, exhaled sharply, and flicked the butt at the woman, hitting the back of her coat. He smiled a bit when he noticed a small burn mark in between her shoulderblades. Hurriedly, the woman and child rushed down the sidewalk, Jacen noting a small grin on the child's face.
Still gonna rest here for a bit....., he thought to himself as he felt his eyelids grow heavy and slipped into a light slumber.

((Uh...tanku! ^.^ Another short post; I'm typing this while about to bolt out the door. No work tonight, but c'mon, I'm heading to the club anyway!!!))
Distrust and suspicion crossed Raine's expression, and the woman gave the other female a thinly-veiled glare.
"Why doesn't he march his butt out here and meet me himself?"
Nodding her head towards the structure before her, she spoke again before the question could be answered.
"How am I to know if there's a trap set in there or not? I would be going into uncharted territory, leaving me at more of a disadvantage then I want to."
She wasn't stupid. While she didn't have the kind of education that most people did, hers was harder-in order to live she had to learn...the hard way.
There was no room for error when you were betting your life.

OOC: Sorry gang but we need some conspiracy here! And trouble. And fighting scenes. And death threats. *looks at Wanda* Lots of death threats.
IC: Freya decided it was time for her to pay a little visit to professor Xavier. She knew he tried to get Wanda out of the asylum but was too scared for the safety of his own present students to take her in. Which is why she freed Wanda before Mystique could.
The problem with Freya is her bad habit of going where she shouldn't go and do things she shouldn't do. Freeing Wanda meant an anger Mystique on her trail, a thoughtful Magneto wishing her to use her powers to somehow control Wanda for him and a concerned Professor X. Not to mention that sooner or later, Wanda will hunt down her brother and this one will beg Freya to do something to protect him. Who am I kidding? He'll be too proud to even do that. she thought, giggling.
She decided to at least confront one of the three. Standing outside the gates, she wondered if she should take the discret method or just make one big entrance. While thinking about it, she waved her hand and a big gust of wind forced the gates opened and started a big defensive alert in the Xavier institute.
"Ooops... I messed up again," she said with a mischevilous smile.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where to look? Where to go? That wasn't too hard for Wanda. Freya told her he was staying with the Brotherhood. All was left to do is go there.
Wanda didn't care much about school so she dressed up and after a quiet breakfast (she was used to have a talktive Freya so quiet was nice), she left the appartment. She had no idea where the blond was and she might worry about that later. For now, she just wanted a piece of that chicken brothef of hers.
After a long walk and a few wrong turns, she was standing in front of the Brotherhood. She saw some figures by the windows so she figured out they didn't care much about school either. Maybe she could consider staying with them...once Pietro is six feet under.
With her powers, she blasted the front door and walked in.
OOC: Wouah! Long post! O_o Not in my posting habit. Hope you will still like it everyone! XD

Jamie was sitting in his room trying to do his essay when the alarm went off. He grabbed a flashlight off his bed, and jumped out the window, landing heavily on his feet. He charged towards the gate and skidded to a stop when he saw the girl standing there. "What do you want? Weren't you the one with the crazy girl?"

Regina bolted into the shadows, not listening to the professor's protests that the xmen would handle it. She wanted in on the action if that meant going for it herself. She walked out of the shadows next to the gate just as she heard the young man that was there ask the girl a question. "Who are you...? the intercom works just fine last time I checked..." she said quietly, not one to yell or accuse a new acquaintence.
Gen blinked at the sudden alert that had sounded. She looked around and shrugged. "It seems there's more important matters to deal with than if there is something to be hidden here. Maybe you should go check on why there is an alarm going off."

OOC: I am so mad. I wrote a huge post and Gaia logged me out before posting.
IC:
"Was that Storm?" Alanna asked herself quietly as she saw a brilliant flash of grey light come from her window. It came out of the darkness of her world. There was no vegetation or anything organic really in her room. It was dark to her and she didn't really like it.
She used her hand to guide herself out of the bedroom and found herself slowly movnig down the hallway. Again, there were no plants, water founds, or anything of use to her here. Kitty came up to her and took her arm, "Dark in here."
"Yea, you need more plants. What's going on?" Alanna asked as Kitty phased her down to the next level.
"Don't know, but it looked like that one girl from the Brotherhood," Kitty said and they ignored Scott and Jean telling the student's to go to the lower levels. Kitty pulled Alanna through the front wall from the sitting room where they stood by some shrubs.
Now Alanna could 'see.' Lines stretched up from the ground that let her see hints of where Jamie's feet were running and stopped. She could see blue lines wrap around that girl.
"Don't do anything stupid," Kitty whispered about Jamie and Freya both.
Alanna put her hand to the ground. She didn't have much control yet. Storm hadn't taught her that much, but she didn't want Jamie to get hurt. She forced her will on the earth and used all of her concentration to push the ground up in front of him between Freya and the school grounds. It slowly pushed up like a wall.

"Why doesn't he march his butt out here and meet me himself? How am I to know if there's a trap set in there or not? I would be going into uncharted territory, leaving me at more of a disadvantage then I want to."
Penny nodded, "You can't ever really know being a mutant. In the past week I have been in an exploding chemistry lab cause my a mutant hater, in a fight with a team of random mutants, and kidnapped by a bunch of military crazies who have a base in some part of Antartica... so if you want me to prove to you if you can trust us, I can't. But the X-Men are probably the most trusting mutants around despite evidence that they shouldn't be..."
And then the gate blew off at the end of the driveway. Penny rolled her eyes, "Can't anybody make a civil entrance these days?"
She recognized the girl immediately from the Brotherhood and she wasn't pleased with the entrance. Penny stood on the porch to wait for what happened next. THere was no sense in attacking the girl... she only blew the gate off.

Gen shrugged and headed out of the room with the maps she had been given. This was none of her concern and she was curious about the whole place she was to live in. Though she did wonder where she was going to sleep...
Regina looked at the wall and nearly fell over.
"Alanna!!!" she yelled. "I'm still on the other side of that wall!?"
She sighed and turned to look at Freya. "Now that you've made your presence known, and been blocked out...what's up? Last time I saw you, you were with Wanda from the brotherhood."

"Keep calling me brotherhood and I swear I'm going all out on you guys," said Freya as she folded her arms over her chest. "Me and Wanda are not from any group. She's with me and I'm with no one. Which is why I'm SO solliciated," she continued by taking a cute thinking pose.
They all gave her a glare. "Oh come on. Mad because of that gate? It was an accident," she said cheerfully. "Like you guys never make accidents even if you are so well trained." She heard a couple them sigh. "Ok so maybe it wasn't completly an accident. I'm rusting for not using my powers. Anyway, I want to see the professor. He and I need to talk about a few things. Where can I find him?"
She looked at each of them and felt she wouldn't have any answer from them. "Awww... You're all so mean to me," Freya said with a pouting expression.

Regina raised a brow. "Sorry, it's just what we're used to saying. The professor is in talking with a new transfer student. I'm a little wary of you myself, but not because of where you and wanda live."
Giving it some thought, she held out her hand. "I'll take you to him, but you'll have to promise not to destroy anything or anyone when in our home. It's the least we can request of you for talking to our mentor."
