Tansy sighed as she listened. He was alive. She bit onto her bottom lip as she followed the pair. "I don't think that we should worry about Charles for now. I think it would be best if we try not to worry about it until we need to. There is no point is making up stressed until we need to.

Garret awoke to the sound of voices, looking up he saw a beam of light. The dust motes dancing inside. He glanced over to the group and wiped his sleepy eyes. He stood in a stretch almost falling over because his legs were still asleep from being tucked against his chest all night. He did a few bounces on the tip of his toes and smiled when the blood started to flow again and walked over to his friends. "G'morning." He said groggily and stuck his hands inside his jacket pockets.

Annie smiled bemused at the newly awake Garret, at least one of them slept well. "Good morning," she said, crossing her arms. "Sleep well, sleeping beauty? We were talking about heading out. Apparently Gidget's brother's place has yummy food."

Gidget nods her head excitedly, but soon stops when she can't feel the bounce of her hair. "He's always having guests over to his apartment, so he keeps a pretty good stock of food." She stops and thinks for a moment. Her face becomes troubled, "Guys, I need to find some clothes or something. If we go over there with me dressed like this, and with no hair, there's no way he'll let me stay with you anymore." She thinks back to when she had first asked him about it a few months ago. He is the only other person who knows about her power, and he wanted to keep her by him so she would be safe. Gidget had insisted that she would be better with other people like her. It took a lot of sweet talking after that, but he finally caved after she gave him "the look."

"You're probably right," said Annie. "I could easily imagine a big brother wanting to be protective of his little sister... Actually, come to think of it I haven't heard you tell too much about your brother. It'll be fun to meet the mysterious big brother."

Tansy looked around and sighed softly. "Clothes.. Well, I wouldn't dare send the boys to get something, so... Either Annie or I should go find something for you." She tilted her head to the side. "I don't know if we should head back to the hotel and get some clothes, or just... somehow.. get new ones...."

"We should go together," Annie suggested to Tansy. "The boys can be look outs while you and I find something suitable. Then again we all are a mess, I don't know how many stores are open this early or willing to let us in like this. I am half inclined just to go to her brother's as is. I grew up with an overprotective ex-military father, I think I can handle a big brother. Anyhow, shouldn't we just tell him the truth? It wouldn't be fair to crash at Gidget's brothers and not explain the situation to him."

He shot a resentful look at Annie, like he felt guilty for 'sleeping in' while everyone else was deciding what to do next. "Maybe we can borrow some money off your brother, Gidge. After we tell him the deal." Garret said, a little of the sleepiness starting to fade from his voice.

Gidget looks at Annie with some doubt, but then smiles again. She has good friends, and she knows this. They are willing to go to bat for her, and it feels great. "Okay, if you guys think you can calm him down then let's go and get something to eat."

"Don't worry, honesty is the best policy," said Annie. "What is the worse that can happen? It is better that you are with all of us than not, anyways. Because imagine if Mr. Ray had taken just you and you didn't have us, you still would be there." She shuddered, "Hell, all of us would probably be still there if it wasn't for the others..."
She grimaced and continued, "How about we head out now?"

Tansy nodded. "Yes, we should go now." She smiled the group, trying to keep their hopes up, if just by a little. "I doubt that anyone will be looking for us after this long, but, do you think I should keep a look out from the sky?" She blushed softly. "I'm not so sure I can just walk down the street the way I am without attracting to much attention."

Gidget giggles with delight, "Yay, it works better than I thought it would." She trots over behind Tansy and lifts the back of her shirt. She giggles again, "I designed this to stay on your body even after you had broken the restraints. The primary abdomen and shoulder straps that attach to the "bra" don't actually hold your wings down, that's what the secondary straps are for. You've gotten so accustomed to the harness that you didn't even notice that it was still there!"

Annie nodded, "So it is settled then. Gidget do you feel up to leading the way to your brothers? It is already possible that the cops know who we are and are looking for us and squatting in this building is making me uneasy." She ducked her head and completed quietly, "But, if you guys still need to rest more, I understand..."

"I'm all for getting out of here a.s.a.p. I can even carry Gidget if she's too tired." Ako said. He still wasn't exactly 100%, but he was close enough to it. He doubted they'd have to do any more fighting for a while, anyway.

Tansy blushed. "Oh... ummm." She bit onto her bottom lip and looked over her shoulder to Gidget. "So... I can look normal... ish." She smiled. "So, would you mind helping me again. I just can't reach back there very well." Her face was beat red as she spoke softly.
