"I'll be fine soon. Just you watch. Since the moon is phasing towards a full moon, my wounds'll heal before you know it!" He smiled but fell silent as he waited for the double meaning to take root within Austin's mind.

Rakuna nodded. "And once the full moon arrives, we'll end up fighting."
Akihito returned, a lit cigarette in his hand. "And when that happens, only one of you will return since this is your year of maturity."
Rakuna blinked and looked up. "When did you start smoking?"
"Ever since I met you." He replied curtly.

"But I won't give you anything to worry about, Austin." Rakuna smirked. "I'll beat my old man, and then you and I can leave this town and be together." He kissed him.
Akihito sighed heavily and took another drag. Seeing those two, make me want to stay single forever.

Rakuna pulled away from Austin and shrugged. "I forgot to mention that Akihito is really a**l about staying single."

Rakuna laughed at Austin's reaction. "Akihito makes his own cigarettes. He puts herbs and plants in them that are edible to foxes, but gives humans a killer headache."
Akihito stared at Austin boredly. "Oh, and Austin, for the record, Rakuna and I are cousins."
