Emily looked at Kiana. "You're right about the meal, but I'll eat it later". She took the sandwich and placed it in a ziploc baggie that she got from her backpack and placed the baggie back in. She then continued, "There might be good people out there, but not enough for my tastes. I've had to kill so many people in self defence because I had the whole........", she trailed off. Nobody here needed to know that the British were looking for her.

Katie smiled, "You're both wrong. Humans and we are more alike than any of us would like to think--but history of humans has a reoccurring negative theme... Fear, hatred, condemnation... Unfortunately I believe that humans have run out of pointing fingers at each other. So when the scientists--our parents or creators if you will, created us, they found us who they could easily say that we are not human therefor they can condemn us without guilt.. But at the same time, not all humans are the same.. This one," She pointed her tail towards Kai "could be different.. And I'm quite curious as to whether I'm right or not.."

Kai sat at his place at the computer desk and tilted his head in thought "Hm, I am 'different' alright even to most 'normal' people. Even if some other 'nice people' saw you guys it wouldn't be certain they would help because of one thing you pointed out, fear...that's one thing I don't have." he half smiled and glanced between them, silently wondering if that helped explain his reason to help them.. he didn't fear their unusual appearance or whatever abilities they had, nor did he fear whoever was chasing them.

Emily looked at him, "If you don't fear them, then you're a fool. I am scared stiff when they're close to finding me, I just don't let it get to me". Emily's tail twitched in her pants. She usualy ignored it, but she hadn't untied it for days. She cracked her neck and breathed deeply, ignoring the pain.

Kai shrugged and half smiled "It's not really my choice not to fear Miss...I've never feared anything for as long as I can remember, the adults were always a bit unnerved around me because of that. "

Katie smirked catily... "I don't fear them, I just know that if I let them capture me, I won't have my freedom and worst case scenario never be able to breath fresh air.." She stretched out on the couch, "Besides, I'd much rather toy with them and make them run in circles. It's the least I could do since they killed my mother.." Whenever she thought about them, she seemed to go into a somewhat extreme catty mood.. Very devious compared to her usual curious as a kitten side that the others had mostly seen..

Emily turned to Katie, "See. That's where we're different. I'd rather string them along until I get them all into a position where they leave themselves vulnerable. Then I'd kill them. Quick and easy". Her tail twitched again. It was causing extreme discomfort in her pants. She went through some pain exercises from her childhood.

Kai glanced at 'Miss', thinking he noticed a some discomfort.. Looking at Katie's tail, then back at 'Miss' "Sorry to change the subject, but um...Katie has a tail so she's a cat... and judging from her name miss Falcon is a bird of sorts... What are you though?" he wondered if she's actually answer..or just yell at him and possibly throw something..

Emily looked at Kai, "I'm a panther. Black Panther to be precise". Emily turned and looked out a window, "Kind of funny, I lived in Britain not some godforsaken jungle". "Alright Em, don't spill the beans. No reason for them to know your life story".

Emily cracked her left wrist and sighed. She had told someone what she was, and a normal person no less. She took out one of her knives and twirled it between her fingers. "Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting tired of sitting around".

Emily smirked, "Yeah, I guess that's exactly it". She continued to flip her knife around. Doing it was one of the laast things that calmed her down and comforted her. She then said in an extremely phony British accent, "What'd you expect me t'act like". She straightened her back and pretended to have a cup in her hand. "Like some over-edumacated, puffed-up stick in the mud who sits in front've the telly all day?", she said. During this spectacle, something important happened that should be noted. For the first time in years, Emily genuinely smiled.

Kai didn't mind as Miss twirled her knife, he figured it was just a habit or something, Falcon was still a bit of a mystery though, and Katie seemed like nice girl..with a tail. During Miss's act Kai rested his chin on his hand, using his fingers to try to his the smile, unsure of what the panther-girl would do if he laughed, and he had to struggle to keep the laugh in..

Emily stoped and winced a little in pain. "If you don't mind, I have something I need to do". She walked out of the room and freed her tail. It now came out from the top of her pants and swished down. The tip curled up before it dragged across the floor. As she walked back in, she felt a little embarressed. She usually never let her tail out. She didn't let embarressment show though. She had her tail wrap up around her leg. For some reason this also relaxed her.
