Ah.. there was the nerve he wanted. Prolonging her irritation he lifted his arm, listening to the bones snap wickedly as he rotated his shoulder.. keeping his gaze on her. " No." She was, for what ever reason, trying to help him.. though it was clear she disliked him. One thing to be thankful for, to be sure.. Hate he understood perfectly, could embrace without thought. the Gargoyle had not attempted to kill her, and it was clear from this bite she was not entirely human herself.. She also hated being scholded or told what to do. All of these things he would use to send her away, or at the very least keep her at arms length. Lowering his arm again he tore a length from his shirt, using his hand and teeth to bind the injury.. clearly used to such things. " My thanks, but I refuse."

Thoughts of later distracted him as she seemed to agree, relief easily seen in his posture as he relaxed. The meeting would go well, then.. Her footsteps made him glance back at her, a question in his gaze. He had just enough time to tense as she came back, his expression turning to stone as he realized what she was doing. So be it.. He closed his eyes just before she hit, waiting for the blow he could not dodge. His Gargoyle may have had a soft spot for the little wench.. now, Nexus would have to apologize to the b*****d for killing her. Her fist made contact and he felt his head snap to the side, his body wavering.. falling to a kneeling position as darkness took rule once again.

It was the heat that woke him, hours later.. unused to such things as he was. The bed, too, made him uncomfortable.. the floor had always been his resting place, or a high roof top. No imdiate memory came back to him as he sat up, he could only think that his other side had passed out and someone found him in the streets. Just another mess to untangle himself from, it seemed..

He did not notice the food or drink, thinking it odd that a bag and a can was resting on the table.. but paying it little mind as his bare foot hit the floor. Who ever this was.. he could not risk waiting for them to catch him awake.

He paused, cocking his head to the side as he heard her order. That voice.. why did it piss him off? Shaking the feeling away he continued to get up, putting his shoes on as he sighed quietly. He felt ill, but otherwise fine.. a slight tweak in his shoulder that hardly drew his attention. " I do not eat, do you know how long I was out?" His tone was, by far, less hostile than the night before.. reserved but kind. The voice had sounded young.. but he would not risk disrespecting a elder by being rude. In any case, no matter how badly that voice sparked his temper.. or how he came to here.. Nexus was in dept to the owner of this bed. It would not be polite to wretch up magma on their floor, and he hated being called a freak so soon after a black out.

Lava.. His gaze narrowed, studying her face.. or what he could see of it past the mask. " You really... piss me off." After a few moments he closed his eyes, his shoulders twitching under her hands as he laughed quietly.. the sound strained. " .. and I can't recall why." Somehow, this girl had a idea of what he was, her voice alone sparked his temper.. and he was gaining a vague suspicion of just why that was." you knocked one of us out, didn’t you.."

" Fair enough." Lifting a hand over his mouth he yawned, spine cracking as he stretched.. Nexus falling back against the sheets and folding his arms under his head. The orders did not ruffle him, until he remembered if this female was ally or enemy he would just relax. After all, if she had knocked him out in either form.. he would not be able to risk holding back in a fight with her. Gaze unblinking he stared at the ceiling, letting the situation go for the moment.

Her actions made him blink, his gaze flicking to catch her own as his eyebrow cocked up in question. She would fight to keep him still, yet she did not wish for him to be bored.. Odd girl. Still.. she seemed no more certain in this matter than he himself was.. perhaps that was why he remained laid back despite her obvious intentions to keep him here. One eye closed as he gave a faint shake of his head, answering quietly. " Thank you for that, but no.. I am not bored. what is a t-v ?"

His eyes opened to study the contraption, curious.. and a little skeptical of the box. " like.. a Theatre--"

" Now that offends me, a Theatre is far more interesting than a tv." The voice was smooth, a young man's figure lounging against the door jam as Nexus stood slowly by the bed. With a relaxed smile Ice simply shrugged one shoulder absently, his gaze straying towards Quarentine thoughtfully. " You missed our meeting, I thought I should check in.. Pardon the intrusion Miss. Also, a real Theatre is truly something worth seeing.. if you enjoy such things I would welcome you to attened the St. Maria’s 1594 Taming of the Shrew, which is showing tonight.”

" You should knock, you know." Nexus studied Ice for a long moment, a smile twitching his lips as he asked carefully. “ A William Shakespeare play.. isn’t it?”

He tensed, looking down and to the side as he snapped with irritation. “ That was not my idea, the crowds demanded something a little more.. amusing. Otherwise I would never allow that Shakespearian filth on my stage.” For reasons unknown to those around him.. Ice loathed William Shakespeare.
