“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” "Thanks," Riku whispered before kissing her cheek and sneaking out the back door. The teen gave a long sigh as he leaned against the door and dug into his pocket quickly. He pulled out his lighter and a single cigarette and quickly tucked it between his lips. He lit the tip and then stored the lighter away in his back pocket. He inhaled deeply and a look of complete relief washed over his entire face. Finally. The silvernette let his shoulders slouch and he tilted his head back against the door. He let the black smoke float up from a corner of his lips and watched it merge into the clean air.
Riku was glad to have this drag. He was grateful and relieved and content and relaxed. His mind immediately had opened up and allowed him to think a lot more. He realized how easy it would be to talk to Sora; to tell him about the relationship that he and Kairi's Nobody had formed. First off all, it didn't matter if Sora approved of it or not but Riku knew he would and if the Keyblade Master tried to tease him he'd taunt right back at him. Although, telling the younger boy about the Darkness would not be so easy. He'd wait to dicuss that after he found out who that girl was.
Speaking of which, he wasn't worried about meeting her so much. Either way it went, whether she was a threat or not, Riku would watch her closely. Anyone with that much Darkness, even good, can do a lot of bad without even realizing it or attempting too. Hikari could be a time bomb...but so was Riku.
That was it. The cigarette ashed up and Riku dropped it at his side. That was it? He stood up and crushed it beneath his foot, grinding the heated remains into the concrete sidewalk. Did he need another one? Not yet. If he did, he'd have another on the way to the Secret Place. With that thought in mind, he sighed and returned into the cafeteria. He kept his head down as he snuck back towards the blonde and sat down. He smiled at her, his face much more serene than during class. He then covered his mouth before speaking. "Miss me?" he joked.

Lakayna and the others finally made it to the lunchroom. Her golden eyes sweeped over all the heads, looking for the petite blonde who had promised she would hear Lakayna out during lunch. It didn't take too long to spot Namine. She also noticed a silver haired boy with her. He looked familiar, perhaps from Kairi's memories, but somehow Lakayna hadn't gotten a name quite so clearly. She knew it started with an R, but that was about it. Lakayna walked over to the lunch table where Namine and the slivernette were still. "Um, Namine; can I talk to you now?" she asked, "Privately?" Lakayna wasn't trying to be rude, but she wasn't quite ready to discuss it openly with more than one person right now.

Naminé Miss Memory Witch A frown had etched itself upon Naminé's face and exhaled in a huff, purely out of frustration. No matter how hard she tried, the girl found that she simply could not draw herself. She could not place herself in the drawing with the Trio of Light; for some reason it simply evaded her. After a few minutes of frowning at the sheet of paper that held her work upon it, the girl gave another huff of frustration and moved the notebook away from her, leaving it open so she could still peer at it every now and then.
Sighing, she took up her water bottle and uncapped it, sipping the water. Her crystaline eyes kept flickering back to the same piece of paper. Why couldn't she add herself into the picture? Annoyed, the girl scowled and didn't look at it again. She'd been staring down at the table when she'd felt someone sit next to her. The petite blonde glanced up and her scowl vanished almost instantly, leaving a soft smile in it's place. When Riku covered his mouth and then spoke, the girl rolled her eyes and gave a small giggle. "Oh, don't flatter yourself," she teased, joking back.
A new voice popped up, and Naminé glanced away from Riku and to the source of the voice because it had said her name. The petite blonde recognized the voice: Lakayna. The girl's crystal blue eyes met Lakayna's and she smiled at the girl, giving her a nod. "Of course, Lakayna. No problem." Sliding out of her seat, Naminé stood up and turned back to Riku. "I'll be back soon," she promised the silvernette before turning her back to him and facing Lakayna. "Lead the way."

“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” Riku narrowed his eyes playfully at her before Lakayna spoke the blonde's name. The silvernette looked up to the girl who stood beside the table. He'd yet been introduced and he knew that she was one of Kairi's new friends. He looked back at Naminé once she was at her feet. He smiled crookedly at her as she promised her return. "I'll be waiting," he mused softly, so hopefully only she would here. Then they two girls were gone. The teen spun round in his seat to lean against the table. He glanced down at the dismissed notebook in the center of the wooden surface. He reached out and took it in his hand to observe it.
His lips turned up in a smile. He, Sora and Kairi all stood together; each of their personalities sketched perfectly. His teal eyes scanned over the page and stopped at the murky image besides his own. It was a blurred outline, probably from repeating erasing and attempts at bringing whoever or whatever it was to life like the three others on the page. Riku scowled. Who was it? He squinted his eyes a little as he tried to make out the figure. He couldn't though. He sighed and placed it down in front of him.
Although, he couldn't make out the mysterious person beside him, he knew that the book belonged to Naminé. Only she had that much talent in the entire building -- scratch that, entire WORLDS. NO one could ever match her talent. it was one in a kind. Riku smiled. She's one of a kind. he thought as he drummed his fingers on the notebook.

Ηικαŕι With the arrival of the lunch period came a very brief sense of relief to Hikari. A small chance to not think about school or homework, but the lingering anxiety of meeting with Riku still loomed in her head. With a sigh, she made her way to the cafeteria, where she had gotten her lunch and found an empty table. She could sense Riku nearby, but she knew that where ever Riku may be, his friends wouldn't be too far behind. The silver haired girl sat down with her back to him, taking a few bites from her food, although she wasn't very hungry.

Lakayna nodded in return and led the way out of the cafeteria. She led Namine outside and around the corner of the school. She walked, hearing the girl's light footsteps behind her, until she found a place where there wasn't a student in sight. Lakayna leaned with her back against the wall, her eyes to the sky. "Namine, I need help, desparately. I don't know how I can turn to, because there's hardly a soul around who would believe me, hardly a human that'll listen..." she said in a serious and solemn voice. Lakayna's eyes moved from the sky to Namine's face. "I've considered how I'm going to explain it at all, but it's so confusing...I will tell you, but I want for you to do something for me first. It really isn't much, albeit a bit of an odd request." Lakayna lifted an arm towards Namine. "Touch my skin; not my clothes, my skin on my arm. Please?" Lakayna just wanted to learn a bit more about Namine, and her ability was the fastest way for her to do it.

Naminé Miss Memory Witch Naminé tagged along Lakayna as the girl began walking and the two spent the next few minutes walking through the grounds; passing many students until they finally arrived in a place where there was not a single student in the area, save for themselves.
The petite blonde watched as Lakayna leaned back against a wall and the blonde stood across from her, crossing her arms over her chest and a look of curiosity plainly seen on her features. Before she had even uttered a word, Lakayna began to speak. The girl's words caused a frown to turn down Naminé's lips. She needed help? What was wrong? Lakayna turned her eyes to Naminé and the girl straightened up, giving her full attention to the girl. So, Lakayna wanted her to simply make contact with her skin?
The strange feeling that had held Naminé back from making contact with the girl before -- when she'd been having a seizure like moment -- echoed with in the blonde again. "Er, Lakayna? This may sound silly as well, but won't something bad happen if I do that?" She wondered in a quiet voice. It had to be said; the girl was very perceptive. Much more than people thought. Still, the girl sighed and reached out with one of her delicate hands. "I'm only doing this because you request it," she muttered before placing her hand lightly against the skin of Lakayna's arm.

Lakayna nodded a thank you as she felt the blonde's skin brush against her own. The second they made contact, Lakayna's eyes clouded over completely. "This is the fastest way for me to learn about someone," she began to explain, even through the pain, "I can see their past, everything that's happened to them, through a simple touch. I see images of your past right now." Lakayna breathed deeply, making sure her mental barriars were strong so her dragon side wouldn't sneak through and try to take over. "Unfortunately, if I come into contact with more than one person at a time, it hurts me immensely. Back in the gym, there were many, many people at once. I ended up going to the nurse and was out for a good many hours. That had been lucky for me and everyone else, because if it had been worse, most; if not everyone; within the school, and maybe even on the island, would be dead."

Naminé Miss Memory Witch Ah. So that was the big reason why the petite blonde had been getting a feeling not to make contact with Lakayna's skin. Because some part of her subconcious had recognized a flicker of power in the girl and had realized something would happen if she did make contact with her skin. But, able to see other people's pasts? Naminé was intrigued but didn't ask any questions for Lakayna's answer had cleared most of them up. It was faster for the other girl to learn about people this way; it most definitely took less time than it would if a person told their whole life story.
It surprised Naminé because she was comfortable with Lakayna knowing her past. If not only because the petite blonde knew that whatever she didn't want Lakayna to see, she always had the power to erase it from the other girl's mind. So she kept contact with Lakayna for a minute. However, Lakayna's last statement caused Naminé to recoil her hand from the girl in shock and wonderment. Something bad could've happened to Lakayna that would cause most, if not everyone on Destiny Islands to die? The Memory Witch's hand fell to her side and curiosity played on her features. "What could be so bad to cause that, Lakayna?" She wondered aloud.

The memories finally ceased in Lakayna's vision and her eyes returned to normal once more. She sand to the ground, hugging her knees and looking to the earth. She took a deep breath, preparing herself to explain. "It would have been bad because if my other side had been able to take me over, it would hae flown around the island and killed without cause," she explained. Tears fell slowly from Lakayna's eyes as she looked up to Namine's face. "I'm not a full human," she continued through the tears, "I'm half dragon. My dragon side is my darkness, and I can't control it if the barriars in my mind fail or if my emotional state becomes extremely unstable." Lakayna wiped her eyes and looked away from the blonde. "I'm scared, especially after a dream I had last night. I was hoping you might be able to understand it better, but I needed to tell you about what I am first so you can better understand why I'm so afraid."

Naminé Miss Memory Witch Lakayna fell sat down once her eyes had cleared and she hugged her knees to her chest, looking down at the ground. After a brief moment, Naminé followed suit and sank down to the ground as well, waiting patiently and quietly for Lakayna to explain. The girl began to speak and when she paused, the petite blonde looked off into the distance, trying to make sense of her friends words. So the other side of her was something that could fly... something strong, powerful and formidable according to Lakayna. Which pretty much summed it up to a dragon.
The Nobody turned her head back to face Lakayna and to her surprise and horror, the other girl was crying. Naminé wanted nothing more than to reach out and comfort the girl in some way but she was afraid that it would make matters worse. Lakayna spoke again, and her words confirmed Naminé's suspicion. So she was half dragon, yet her dragon side was the girl's Darkness and Lakayna did not wield the power to control it, at least not yet. When her friend admitted to being scared, the petite blonde was unable to stop herself from reaching out and gently placing her hand on Lakayna's shoulder -- making sure her school uniform prevented her from touching the skin.
"I... might be able to help you, Lakayna. You're wise to be afraid of the Darkness in you but it won't do any good to stay afraid of it. I believe I may understand it better but in order for me to really understand I need to feel your Darkness. Lakayna, I want to help you but for me to do this you need to let me in your mind," she explained in a gentle tone of voice, removing her hand from the girl's shoulder and letting it fall to her side. Her crystaline eyes searched her friend's, the look in them soft and concerned. "Trust me," Naminé said quietly.

Ηικαŕι Finally giving up on her lunch, Hikari disposed of the leftovers and decided to take a walk around the school. Her thoughts were still on the meeting she was to have with Riku. She was starting to think that instead of just telling him who she is, it might be better to make him earn it in a sparring match. As she heard some voices, she stopped and hid by a wall behind the voices, recognizing one of them to be Naminé's. After hearing what was going on, it seemed that the other girl's, who's name appeared to be Lakayna's, was having trouble controlling her own amount of darkness within her. Hikari lowered her head to think. So she was half dragon? Admittedly Hikari knew full well that certain dragons were associated with the darkness, Maleficent herself being a prime example. But when Naminé offered to help her by infiltrating her mind, Hikari's head snapped up. Doing something like that would only make things worse if things were that bad for Lakayna. She came out from her hiding place, showing herself to the right of the two girls. "That won't work," she said firmly, her black sunglasses reflecting the girls' faces. "What she's feeling has nothing to do with her head. Those nightmares are just a manifestation of what her heart is trying to tell her what's going on. If you go into her mind you might open something that no one will want unlocked," she explained. Even from where she stood Hikari could feel the darkness of Lakayna's dragon side. She looked at Naminé. "You don't know me, but I know you, and the rest of the Organization. Everything will be explained in time, but now I think that I should look into it," she said, her expression stoic. "Trust me."

Naminé Miss Memory Witch Naminé had been patiently and quietly awaiting Lakayna's answer to allow the petite blonde into her mind. However, a sense of Darkness entered the immidiete area and Naminé glanced around, yet spotted nothing. The girl was wary in case any Heartless decided to show up on the Island, especially around the two. Keeping her senses open, she looked back to Lakayna, yet it wasn't the girl before her whose voice rang in the air. It was someone else. Immidietely, the petite blonde leapt to her feet and spun around to face the person who'd appeared.
To her surprise, it was no other than that girl who'd been hurt the day before. The one that somehow knew Naminé's name and who practically radiated darkness. A frown appeared on the petite blonde's face and she stood protectively in front of Lakayna. She was about to speak but then her mind registered the girl's words. Naminé shook her head, keeping her anger in check as she replied. "If she allows me in her mind I'll be a part of her; I won't do anything she wouldn't. The only thing I'll do is get a first hand feel of the Darkness within her." After a moment her lips turned into a scowl and she glared at the girl. "Besides, you shouldn't have been eavesdropping." Turning to Lakayna, Naminé's expression softened and she said in her usual tone, "I can make her forget this if you'd like."
The dark girl spoke again, and the petite blonde turned to her once more. This time, her words completely shocked her and the blonde stared at her in surprise. After a few moments of silence as she regarded the girl, a new round of surprise washed over her along with recognition. "Wait... I do know you." Naminé murmured, a wary look on her face as she regarded the girl before her. "You're the one that Xmenas kept hidden from everyone else in the Orginization. You're the one he kept by his side. I will not let you look into this! For all I know you could be continuing Xmenas' work!" The petite blonde was completely bemused. Here was the girl who'd always remained by Xemnas' side and she was expecting Naminé to trust her?!
Suddenly, everything came together for the girl. The petite blonde gasped and her stance shifted to something more defensive, preparing herself if things got into a fight. "It was you. It was you who used the darkness yesterday. I don't know what you did but it was wrong. You're the one that Riku was chasing and the one he's meeting after school today. The time to explain isn't later, it's now! Who are you?" The girl demanded to know, never shifting from her stance. Naminé couldn't believe how stupid she'd been. The pieces had all been right in front of her and it had taken her a full day to piece it together. That had been why the girl had felt so familiar when Naminé had handed back her glasses. Because she knew her. Not well, but she knew enough.

Lakayna looked around Namine towards the girl who'd entered the vicinity. It was that girl from the nurse's office, and who'd fallen in the gym the day before. Lakayna's heart began to pound frantically. At first she didn't know why, but it quickly hit her. The girl embodied Darkness itself, and Lakayna's dragon side was reacting to it. It was trying to take her over, and her human self was scared to transform and end up hurting those she cared for. She jumped to her feet, her eyes swirling with fright as she backed away. "Go away," she said in a small and pleading voice, "You're hurting me..." It was true, the closer that kind of level of darkness got, the stronger the dragon became. True, the girl had been close yesterday, but strong emotions; love most likely; had been able to hold the dragon back, as it couldn't understand those feelings. Lakayna wasn't feeling love right now though, and the dragon; in trying to force itself out; hurt Lakayna greatly.
