Kai smiled sweetly at Alyssa's response, "That's good..." He looked over his shoulder and stretched, grabbing his staff and book. When he leaned back, another button undid itself, his belly button now visible. He walked over to a shelf and set down his two belongings there, making sure that they weren't touching anything but the shelf. He bit his lower lip thoughtfully and kept standing there, adjusting various things there. When he finished, he quickly turned back around and looked at Alyssa with his big, sparkling, brown eyes. The shelf was closer to the girl than the healer was before, so his closeness to her was a little bit awkward for him...but he somehow didn't feel that embarassed.

Kai blinked quickly when Alyssa stepped closer to him and he gulped slightly. He backed up himself but found himself against the shelf, so he really couldn't move anywhere. His brown eyes gazed into the girl's eyes, "Umm...Is something...Wrong?..." His hands came up and grabbed the edge of the shelf behind him, causing his shirt to open up even more and start to slowly slide off of his shoulders. A slight shade of red covered his face now as he kept watching Alyssa's movements. He wasn't sure what she was doing...He was never approached like this...And he had never been this close to anyone before...Especially a girl.

Alyssa's temptations were overcoming her common sense; this was never good for the person whom this was addressed to. Well, it could be good it just depended on who you were. Kai, being taller than her, it was hard for Alyssa to get much closer; which sucked. However, once she noticed how uncomfortable he was Alyssa backed off almost instantly. "No..nothing's wrong.." Alyssa sighed, giving him the room he obviously wanted. Alyssa casted her eyes on the ground, running her delicate fingers through her vastly colored hair; humiliated.

When Tomoro spoke Alyssa turned sharply, falling over a table that was behind her. She landed on her font; knocking the wind from her. After a few moments of coughing, Alyssa stood shakily. Alyssa finally got a good look at the damage Tomoro had took and she felt somewhat bad about what she had done. "Tomoro...we're not...you've got it all wrong dear..."

Kai's eyes went wide when he looked at Tomoro. He grabbed his staff and ran over to her, his hand grazing Alyssa's body accidentally. He slid to a stop in front of the bleeding girl and smiled sweetly, "Now...To heal you..." He closed his eyes and the emerald on his staff started glowing a light shade of bluish-greenish. The light grew instantaneously and when the healer opened his eyes, it shot off towards Tomoro and surrounded her in a spiral-like pattern. It caused all of the wounds on Tomoro's body to seal painlessly and for all of the possible infection to disappear. The light disappeared and Kai smiled sweetly at the girl, "There...Now you get to live too!" He laughed slightly and hugged Tomoro tightly before pulling away and walking back over to the shelf. He set the staff down again and propped himself onto the shelf, his brown eyes closing slowly. That healing technique always took a lot out of him, and he had managed to hide his exhaustion from Tomoro and Alyssa for now. His chest rose and fell rapidly, his breathing increased dramatically from normal. A thin layer of sweat covered his body and his heart started pounding in his chest, just as though he had finished with a strenuous exercise. His knees buckled slightly and he almost fell, but managed to keep himself balanced against the shelf.

After her wounds being healed, Tomoro noticed that Kai was exhausted. "Alyssa... you win.... I just can't beat you." Tomoro looked down, and began crying, such a childish thing to do in front of these people. "I mean... you have everything. You can get the boys, you can fight... you're so lucky. So lucky. I'm just a freaking experiment with no knowledge of anything.. I'm so worthless. I don't even deserve to live. Kai, stop healing me. I should have died right then. Just... don't heal me anymore." Tomoro, still in tears, took his hand and kept him steady, looking deep into his eyes. "You... need to stop caring about others, and look at yourself once in a while. I just seem to look at myself too much, that's why I'm this way." Although her wounds were healed, Tomoro was still splattered in blood, and she was covered in dirt. Just thinking about her grandmother's portrait, her only momento, made her sick in the stomach. She wanted to throw up right then and there.

So unlike herself, Tomoro pulled Kai against her, and began sobbing, pressing her pale face against his soft pale chest. I'm such a baby.... I'm such a baby... but... I can't help it... I just can't. I shouldn't even be doing this. Alyssa will kill me right here and now...

Kai looked down at Tomoro and frowned slightly, gently wrapping his arms around the girl, "Don't worry...I care about you...So I won't let you die...And if I stop caring...It just wouldn't be myself..." He smiled sweetly and forced his breathing to slow down, despite his oxygen deprivation. His big brown eyes wandered over to Alyssa and he kept smiling, "Don't worry...I'll be fine..." He then looked back down at Tomoro and kept holding her, knowing that she needed someone she could turn to, "I'll always be here for you, Tomoro...Even if you don't think I am...I still consider you my friend, Miss..." He didn't really know what else to say now...It was all up to Tomoro to explain her situation and whether or not she still wanted the healer to be her friend...

Tomoro felt Alyssa's touch on her shoulder; it was surprisingly soft, despite the fact that she had shoved the dagger into her her earlier. The spot still had a strange tingle to it. Maybe.... we can all be friends... someday... someday.... Tomoro sniffed, and released from Kai's grasp, falling to her knees, looking down. "Kai... why... were you ignoring me...? And... acting like you didn't know anything about me...?"

On the other hand, Tomoro was slightly angered by this too. It was strange that Kai just seemed to mysteriously 'forget' everything that had happened over the past few weeks. It was very unlikely that he had been hypnotized... maybe... he was just ignoring her. Like everyone else. God, I wanted to end this all so long ago. I just wanted to find out why I have this damn code on my arm, why I'm living when I've been killed inside already... why I'm feeling all these different feelings... it would be better for me to rot in hell. Sighing lightly, Tomoro took out the picture of her Grandmother, and pulled the glass off and out of the picture, staring at it. Her grandmother was smiling no longer; the glass had cut part of that now, and all that looked like it was left was an evil smirk. It sickened her. The eyepatch was still visible on her, however; the same eye, the same design.... it was like a super old version of herself.
