Harlin watched the two with mild interest. Damascus nosed around for a few wild berries, acting as if he were oblivious. Which, of course, he wasn't.
Narissa jumped in on Kiki's side. "You may want to take her up on that offer," she said, still moving along with Reign and Falian on her back. She wondered when they were going to get anywhere, when she'd see Holly again.

Shef glanced at the giant snake. Likely the same who tempted Eve, he thought stubbornly. But, either what they were saying was true, or he was being led by the power of suggestion to think that his itches were indeed getting worse.
Yes...
They WERE starting to itch more, WEREN'T they? It had to be so.
In a moment, the expression on Shef's face told Kiki that he would gladly accept her offer of leading him to water.
Yes. Sometime soon, LIKE NOW, were in Shef's thoughts already. He was a millisecond away from voicing them.
((Just typing this is making me itchy all over.))

Kiki smiled smugly, and rolled off the branch, catching a vine, mid-air, and swinging to a branch behind Shef, She swung around and jumped onto his back, piggyback style.
"Go to the left and keep walking. Avoid bee, and ant nests."
She directed to the group, taking a stick and pointing in the right direction in the heavy forest.

Shef didn't stop to think about how Kiki had no concept of personal space. He didn't stop to think about how she probably possessed no sense of privacy, either. He just ran towards the promised water.

Rat had trekked all the way back to the gate. She was just about to have her Guardian activate it when a canteen, flying out of nowhere, slammed into her head and sent her unconscious.

Kiki just waited silently as she got her free way towards the spring.
Oh, and she also steered Shef's shoulders away from various anthills and snakes.
See, this is why she didn't want to walk anyway,
besides being lazy.
Shef seemed to be wearing sturdy clothing, where as she had tiny little slippers made of cloth. Kiki stopped thinking about this just in time to move him away from a large red anthill.

Shef was too blind with pain to worry about the silly anthills. Before he knew it, he had tripped into the water--with Kiki along for the ride. Kiki had not anticipated how quickly Shef could run, wiry and energetic fellow as he was.

"AUUUGH!!!"
She had tried to grab holf of a willow branch to avoid the spring but instead she gave the tree a wicked highfive before:
Sploosh.
Kiki, searing with anger, she floated up to the surface, and kicking and screaming, went back underwater to find that punk.
She keeps the kid from ant bites, and this is the thanks she gets?!
Kiki opened her eyes and Swam towards Shef.

But Shef had actually tripped, to send Kiki flying into the water. He himself had tripped again and landed face-down in the shallows and the mud.
Was that the seventh time today?
His backpack had been caught on the tree branch's high-five. And then sent flying in the rebound. Never to be found again.

Kiki Stood up in the water.
She had thought Shef was with her.
Kiki followed the path of the wondrous backpack with her eyes.
She turned around and glared at the form of Shef lying face first in the mud.
What a buffoon. Kiki now found it hard to beleive she actually volunteered to help these people.
She stared aimlessly off into the waterfall, contemplating her actions.

Shef stood up, glanced down at his closing, then glanced in the direction his backpack had gone.
"Damn it," he exclaimed, "that had my chocolate in it!"

Kiki laughed at him, and how clumsy he was.
Wait.
Chocolate? What was that? Oh well.
Kiki started to walk back to the shore of the Spring, and passed Shef, giving him a push into the water before skipping over to her bro tree.
She gave it another high five as she climbed up to the branch overhanging the water. The guardians hadn't seemed to catch up yet. She frowned.
Another minute with this dweeb seemed like an eternity. And dweeb wasn't even in her vocabulary.

Shatter the thoughts that reign supreme.
With a reigning light, a powerful gleam.
Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... "What the hell are you guys doing?!" A pure white house cat stood on a protruding rock, taking care to avoid the water. "We're all heading to this Remeli place or whatever it's called! Hurry up or you'll be left behind!" The cat turned and leaped from the rock, heading back into the forest. "Stupid humans."  You know death has come when time is an eye.

Kiki sighed.
She didn't want to pull the typical jungle chick routine, but if they needed to hurry I guess it was now or never if she wanted to freshen up.
Kiki stood up from her branch, and dived in the water. A few moments later her lovely little top and skirt were thrown to dry on a low lying branch.
She soon dissapeared underwater.
