Wasn't a pilgrim but I celebrate thanks giving. I don't see the point. Christmas and Easter are Christian holidays, not Catholic specific and it's sort of an American staple. Though not everyone celebrates it due to America being a melting pot of cultures. Same goes for Thanksgiving though it's patriotic(to America) rather than religious but there are those that don't agree with the things that happened and so they don't celebrate it. St. Patrick's day is more of a pride thing for the Irish when they migrated to America. Ireland didn't even celebrate it.

Oh, my mother isn't Irish And my father isn't too, But today I feel as Irish As the really Irish do.
For today I wear a shamrock That is green in every way And though I am Canadian, I am Irish -- for today!
