"Yes! success! Can anyone hear me? This is Dr. Erin. I'm using my creation, DAI, to tap your signal." Dr. Erin said into the mic she had on her computer.
Dr. Jeremy came up behind her, "Who are you talking to, ma'am?"
"None of your business Jeremy. Get back to work. I want him to feel pain."
"Yes Dr. Erin..." Len went back to the tangle of wires, from which a hand reached desperately out.
Miku came up behind Erin next, tears in her eyes. "When will you let us go? DAI's finished and-"
"shut up! very important." She went back to the mic, "Repeating..."

The screen on Layla's computer monitor now showed the person on the other end, they also seemed to be in a laboratory of some sort. "Of coarse I can hear you, I'm not deaf by any means. So what business do you have with us?" Layla asked in a rather bratty tone, Myna just stood behind Layla awaiting orders.

"Aha! I see you now! I see you're also in the field of robotics. I was wondering... Would you mind working with me to develop something... powerful? DAI, who's tapping into your system is in fact, quite far from completion, but you seem to know how to construct battle androids. I could use your skills..." Dr. Erin smiled a slightly evil grin. Behind her, the depressed Miku turned away, her insane hair twirling around her, nearly making the humanlike robot trip.
"I only have a kidnapped robot and an idiot to work with. I could use someone who can actually think."

"And why exactly should I help you? What are the benefits that I'd gain from doing so? None." Layla said, sitting back in her leather chair rather leisurely. "Besides, helping someone else to create a weapon so advanced would give them more power, and that'd add the risk of said person turning on me. I know the cycle, I've done it before, though I'm not exactly the victim of those betrayals."

"Well, If you want to know the benefits, how about a machine that has... Kokero? I don't mean a human soul in a robot body. I mean a total artificial soul... Plus, I know you have a machine somewhere near an enemy of mine. I doubt you know Dr. Len... He's a scientist near your android. And as for giving me more power, well, I can see you being skeptical, but I have quite a few things to offer you as well. I work in the Empire's thinktank in the Sentinel system. everything that's worth anything is being researched or built here. I can offer you anything we have a project on... Except T. Project T is in Dr. Len's idiotic hands..." Dr. Erin sighed, "Besides, DAI is self-aware. independent. He is made to be the brain of the perfect soldier. one that can take any role on the battlefield, be it medic, commander, special Ops. anything."

Layla sat up straight now, her expression lightened up a bit now -obviously this all sounded very tempting to her. "...Would you be able to mass produce advanced combat androids such as Myna if I so choose to help you?" she asked curiously, this had been a goal of hers for years now -to create an army of powerful combat robots.

Erin smiled, "In fact, I can. An army of androids would be excellent. Especially if we choose a leader unit, like, say DAI, who is a master of strategy. I doubt much could stand in their way. Imagine the possibilities if we absorbed Project W and S. An army of mechanical soldiers with ever-changing weaponry, and instant transportation. Sound like a reasonable proposal?"
In the background, Dr. Jeremy's eyes went wide, a spurt of blood went over his face. He motioned over Miku, who brought him a tray of medical tools, eyes tearing up at the sight of his victim/patient until she looked away, sobbing.

(villainous female scientists are discussing a proposal for an army of android soldiers. And Miku is getting abused, and Dr. Jeremy is doing horrible things to something...)

Layla's grin had been restored with this news "You know what? You're the first person to have ever convinced me to help them. I'll gladly assist you towards that goal. I'm Layla by the way." she briefly glanced back at Myna, but turned her attention back to the screen "So, what do you suppose will be the first action to take?"

(I saw it. It looks interesting, but not really my style...)
Erin smiled, "Possibly a ship to Sentinel System first, Layla. bring any material you can. I'll grant you the security codes to enter the facility. I look forward to working with you on this. After you arrive, we can begin production on units like the one you have there, while we work on DAI. If we can demonstrate their abilities, we may even get the king's permission to absorb the lesser projects. If not, we can always take them..."
Dr. Jeremy suddenly stepped back as the screaming of a child in agony resounded through the room. Covered in blood, Jeremy turned to Erin, "I did it! He feels pain!"
Erin briefly turned around, "Good, now get him up and working. We could use another robot around here." Turning back she apologized, "sorry, that man is our medical technician. He's modifying a recent acquisition of ours..."

((@Techni: I would join, but I'm already in too many RPs to keep track of as it is... sweatdrop ))
"What use could a robot with the ability to feel pain possibly have?" Layla asked, a bit humored at how useless it seemed "Eh...don't bother answering that. Anyway, I'll find a way to get there soon. I don't need the security codes, I can get in with my own methods. Myna will stay here during my absence, shes got another duty to fulfill..." Layla shut off the communications channel just then. Layla grabbed a little memory chip of some kind off the desk, walked over to Myna, and slipped the cartridge into a slot on Myna's headpiece. "There, that chip should show you Rosa's current location. Your current task: Destroy her and all others that stand in your way!" Myna nodded slightly "Understood." she replied, then started to go off on her own to find a way to Eros.

As the comm shut off, Erin smiled to herself, "because a rebellious robot is easier to control if it feels pain... Isn't that right... Miku?" She turned in her chair, the blue-haired robot moved back a bit.
"Well, no need to answer, your action is as effective as one..." Erin stood up, grabbing her clipboard, "Go prepare for our new partner. and Jeremy, get some towels or something. that living tissue is making a mess of blood on the floor..."
"Yes Dr. Erin, after I finish patching him up."
"then tell him to do it after he's patched up."
"He's in a lot of pain..." Dr. Jeremy said, trying to dissuade her a little.
"Good. that'll be his motivation to not slack off then." Dr. Erin went out the door, winking back, "Project B is going to get a little visit from me. If Layla comes here before me, get her the materials to begin production."
"Erm... Isn't the production facility currently in use by Project V?"
"Yes. Take their papers giving them that section, and get our own printed." Erin replied.

((To Techni: Pertaining to the Atlantis. That is all.))
Blake limped into the medical bay after the captain. "Ah, hello," he said cheerfully, "I gathered that you are the captain of this simply baronial vessel."
Noticing Jensien, "Ah, a doctor. I could use your services next, if you don't mind." Without waiting for a reply, he sat himself on a nearby counter.
"If you're wondering, it's my fault that your ship has been involved in a wreck. Well - no, actually, a fault of my crew, so that still falls on me.
"Ah, I've forgotten myself." he said, stretching out his hand. "My name is Blake Wild, captain of the Alacrity, a darn good ship when it isn't out of fuel."
