Koontz awoke for a second time. he was facing the table next to his bed. the glass had been refilled with water. he shifted slightly so he could see the other side of the room. someone was sitting there reading a book. koontz looked back at the glass. "drink up, you'll need your strangth." came a voice from behind him. Koontz sat up and took the glass drinking all the water. then he turned to the man reading the book next to the door. he was in his mid-twenties. "how are you?" Koontz asked.
"you wouldnt believe me if i told you." the man said not looking up from his book.
"and why would i not believe you? what do you have to hide?"
"i have nothing to hide. my name is Kray, but most peope know me as halberdier."
koontz staired, "one of the seven heros!? you cant be. if you were, you would be atlest 70 years old! your only in your twenties!"
"told you that you wouldn't believe me, but you have to. its the truth."
"ok...Kray where am i?"
"you are at the temple of the 7 lights. this was where the others and i were trained." Kray said still not looking up form his book.
i have to test this guy. he cant be one of the heros and if he is making a joke out of the story, ill make a fool out of him! Koontz slowly got to his feet, testing his body. then he made his way to his sword. it one swift motion, he luged at Kray and throw the scabbered to the side. still not looking up form his book, Kray easaly blocked the attack with a wooden haleberdier. then forced it into the ground. "if you wanted to train so much, you should have just said so." he said looking up from his book for the first time. "come, follow me." he got up, his attention back on his book as he left the room.

" No, it's alright. I'm not sad--my family was good to me. Even if they aren't really my family. Thank you for your concern, though.", Tavii said with a smile. She looked to the ground for a moment, then gently pushed herself away from him. She slowly got off the carriage and walked around to the back. After a moment of quietly digging through one of the various boxes, she emerged with an older map. Walking back to the front, she leaned against the carriage, rather than climbing in. She opened the map and read it for a long while. Finally, she looked up, yelling, " Ah! I figured it out!"

"So you think we're passing threw the area that used to be that field?" he questions, raising an eyebrow as he looks over the ancient looking map. "Hey, while you have that out..." he looks it over carefully, the name of the city Tavii had asked him about earlier popping into his head as he realized just how old the map was.

He listened to her explanation, nodding every now and then so she would know he was listening. He wasn't much for magic and legends, but this seemed to make a lot of sense. "Thats certainly interesting... i wonder if any of those were about weapons..." he grumbles, his insatiable curiosity about new and powerfull weapons getting the better of him there.

"You know, that castle place you asked about earlier." he asks, the name on the tip of his tonue. "The one that has stuff to do with dragons."
