"Same here Niomie," Helix replied from beneath the console, then as the new circuit board slid into place and locked he shut the maintenance panel behind it. Standing he grinned at her, "At this rate we'll be fully operational in about an hour... You mind moving? There's a panel beneath your console I need to get too."

“Sure, sure.” She said moving out of the seat and stepping back as to not be in his or the droids work space

Kalin's eyes opened widely and with a snap. He observed the ceiling for about two seconds before he was snapped up with a fervor and yanked all the IV connected to his arm out. He leaned over the seat and, gently holding his newly patched up torso, eased himself onto his feet. He could see Demagol already rushing over with a syringe full of what Kalin assumed was a strong sedative. He reached out his arm and waved a finger of caution.
No. I don't need it, Dem. But try ta shoot me up wit' tha' junk in m' arm and watch what 'appens. I'm fine and I'm going back ta work.

Laura leaned against the wall, staring down at the floor, deep in thought. Something about the attack didn't seem right. While thinking of various things, she noticed Demagol moving about in the corner of her eye. Kalin seemed to be conscious.
" You alright? " she asked, walking over. " Better take it easy for a bit. You were in bad shape. "

Kalin's face was hard and threatening, but it lightened and it seemed he was very happy or relieved to see Laura.
I feel sore, but It's not my way to let pain stop me. It's all a concept really. I can feel pain, but it doesn't hurt. Mind over matter.
He looked down at the floor she had just been examining and seemed to drift off for a second. Then he looked up to make sure Dem wasn't making an advance and, when he was sure he was safe, turned back to Laura.
What happened to me? I'm still a little drugged up, it's hard to remember.

" After the fight was over I came to check on you when you seemed to just cut off on the comm and you were passed out and dripping blood. Apparently you were impaled. " Laura said. " I started to drag you here when the Cap'n came and helped carry you. He's probably chewing out one of the new guys right now for being no help during the whole thing. "

Mareal exited her room. There wasn't much going on anymore it seemed, although there was quite the commotion one floor up. She didn't want to go up a deck, in case she would interfere with the crew, and Xan was nothing better than a perverted old fool who dreamed of her in ways she really didn't like. Still, she felt like she had to do something, and took the lift up and stood outside Jag's office, leaning up against the wall, preoccupied in her thoughts.

We were weak. I was weak. I shouldn't 'ave been caught off-guard like that. If it had been a larger force, we'd be dead right now 'cause o' my ineptitude...
He let his head sag down and let out a sigh of exasperation. He was disappointed with himself. That and he was still recovering the blood he had lost.
Honestly.... wha' kind o' baffoon gets jabbed by his own rudding knife?!

The elevator opened onto the bridge deck, and the brief trip did nothing to cool Jag's simmering anger. He had two crew members down, one man he couldnt trust, a signifigant repair job from the previous battle, and he was loosing time on his delivery. He was tempted to bust one of the crates open for a jar of asprin. Aproaching his office, he saw a pensive Mareal sitting outside his office. "The Pirate threat has been neutralized, Miss." He said, assuming she was inquiring about the recent run in with the raiders. "No need to worry about it. They've been more active lately all o'er the Galaxy but rest assured they're no match for the Ruusan. We'll get you to your destination in one piece."

"It is a shame dat dee pirates attacked. Dee times aren't zo gut for some. Still, I admire your reluctance to shoot back first. Over a minute after they fired. You've got choobies, dat's fur sure. Anyvays, how long till vee reach port?" Mareal asked, trying to be polite and not sound like a total softie all at the same time.

"A day and a half until we reach a rock. We'll be hitting a ship stop over Garqi to make quick repairs and load on some more cargo before heading to Muunilist."

Kalin slid off his bed and stood up. He rotated his neck and shoulders, cracking a number of bones in his body. He was only wearing his pants, so he grabbed his shirt from a nearby table and nodded to Laura as he left the MedBay. He was wrapped up and that was more than adequate to permit him to continue his duty. Or at least that's what his training told him. It wasn't even that bad of an injury really. So he stopped for a second a slid his shirt back on, over his head. Kalin made his way to the turbolift and hopped in. He punched in the Command deck and began singing alittle to himself to pass the time, and to cheer himself up.
"Wha' do ya do wit a drunken Corell earl-eye in the morn? Ya put 'im in bed with a Garqi butler, put 'im in bed with a Garqi butler, put 'im in bed with a Garqi butler! Earl-eye in the morn!"

"I know dis might zound a bit out of place now, but do you mind if I set up some simulations in the gunnery turrent? Just to pass dee time?" Mareal asked. Her patience wasn't wearing thin, but it didn't mean she had to be so reserved.

Laura left the room shortly after Kalin did, and after a short trip to grab a mop, went back to port turret that Kalin had been occupying and began to clean up the trail of blood off the floor. At least that's all it was. Things could've been much worse, and she hoped she'd never have to see such a time.

"Alright. This way."Jag said. He walked towards the bridge and then turned at a door, which slid open before him. In the room beyond were two small gunnery stations and one big station. "This is the gunnery center. The Cannons can be controlled either here or at the turrets. Take one of those two small ones bowwards and turn it on."
