She couldn't help but laugh softly at the look on Shael's face, it was the picture of innocent, but as a result she knew of course it wasn't so innocent. Cindy smiled wryly, "As long as he can still talk, that is fine."

Though she didn't know what happened between the two, she had to admit Adonai better have a good reason, it sounded like he had worried a lot of people.

Feng giggled, "That's good, so... should we play again? Or shall Ryu and I do something else?"

And perhaps like Aliya rest or something like that. Feng didn't know enough about what it meant to have a baby to how tired Aliya might get, but she did want to help.

"You're free to do whatever you wish," Aliya smiled at her friends. "You really don't have to do what the kids want. They can play on their own, after all, they really don't need us."

"Besides, it's gonna be a long time before it's ready," Adan sighed. "The pieces are everywhere."

Aliya laughed and rose slowly to her feet. "Well then we might as well do something else. Is there something else you would like to do?"




Shael laughed along with Cindy. "Maybe," she quipped. "He's a good man, he really is. You really don't have to take me too seriously."

She folded her hands in her lap. "On the other hand," she added seriously, "he owes everone here a huge explanation. Maybe he'll come up with something good enough to dig himself out of the hole he's in, but at the moment I think everyone's watching out for him."

The truth of the matter was the twins had not thought about what else they would do besides just be here and spend time. They didn't know a lot of games of this nature, and they played outside for the most part.

"I'm not sure," Ryu admitted sheepishly, "Of what we should do until then."

"I would suspect so, since this is very unusual," Cindy murmured, "But I'm sure he does have a good reason. It has been a long time since I've seen him, but he isn't one.. I don't think to just do something recklessly."

Aliya smiled at the twins. "Have you been riding at all lately? Done any practicing since I started teaching you?"

She paused. "Sure would be nice to do that again ..." She laughed.

"Hey, I can go riding with you!" Adan announced, jumping eagerly to his feet. "Can I, Mama?"

"If Feng and Ryu want to," Aliya shrugged, smiling faintly.




Shael nodded. "He's always been the kind to think things through ... running off like that was just so unlike him. Aragost assures me that he had reason ... he tends to know about things like that ... but just what that reason is, no one knows. I don't think even Ulani and Ulrich."

She blushed again suddenly and clasped her hands together. "Sorry, I promised everyone I wouldn't go on like this ... it's just hard, him being gone so long when he's always been here before."

Feng nodded with a grin, "Yea, we go back to Donovan's family home to practice, they keep horses and teach how to ride them just in case there was ever a need to ride. They're always insanely prepared like that."

From what she could tell anyhow, though she and Ryu had gotten enough stares from Donovan's family. Probably because now they got to see for themselves what all the rumours were about.

"We can go," Ryu agreed.

"That's alright, sometimes you need it off your chest, otherwise it won't get better," Cindy replied softly, "If it makes you feel better that is good."

Adan grinned and jumped to his feet. "Good!" he said cherfully. He grabbed Ryu's hand and tried to tug him to his feet. "C'mon, Ryu-kun! Let's go!"

"Well, have fun," Aliya smiled, brushing her knees off as she rose to her feet. "Feng, are you going along or do you want to stick around?"



"Yes, there is always that aspect," Shael smiled at Cindy, though she wasn't being altogether truthful. It really didn't make her feel any better to talk about it, but she had grown used to trying to hide her own agitation.

She smiled again then. "Can I offer you anything to drink? It's a long way from the ranch."

"Yes Kaito," Lore replied patting Kaito on the head, "You stay here with Shiro okay? We'll be back, we're just taking a visit."

He was sure as long as it was for a small while it wouldn't be so bad.

Aliya waved dismissively. "Don't worry about me, I'll be here when you get back. Not necessarily awake," she laughed, "but I'll be here."

"Come on, you guys!" Adan said impatiently, already pulling on his boots and cloak. "'R'else we won't have any time before lunch!"

Aliya smiled at Feng. "Go on, enjoy yourself," she urged her.



"Sure," Shael smiled, rising to her feet. "I'll just be a moment."

She looked around at the others. "Perhaps I should get some for everyone else as well." And with that, she headed off towards the kitchen to do just that.
