Anger. An emotion that is quick to surface in the face of hardship or pressure, and is usually the first Quint taps into when something important needs to be done, which usually led to a sloppier job.
"I have to get the hell out of here." He spoke to himself, "I am going to get out." Trying to conjure some flame proved futile, a brief spark was all he was given. Being a diurnal mammal had it's downsides, and darkness was one.
Softly then, he heard a familar voice, but was unable to decipher most of what it said.
"Kite it?" Quint asked the voice..

Common sense, most people have it, a lot of others don't. However, Quint was one of the few who used it alot, it coming in handy now with piecing together a sentence.
"Kite...light.." His eyes widened, "Fight!"
"Fight..this?" Quint asked, tensing himself up. Tests of mental strength was something he had become accustomed to, with Roan, Take, and even his friend Gatz had messed with his mind at some point, he having to push them out to gain control.
"I won't get distracted by some..void!" He yelled, bringing forth the visuals of where he just left, the sounds, and even the distinct smell of the Dragonbreath round he fired not moments before coming here.

As quint would re-appear on the battle field, he would instantly be met by an intensly glowing ivory eye, Corbin standing there ready nose to nose with the man leering at him.
"Your pride, and determination is. invincible"
With that, the obsidian ring about his pupil gave a deep indigo flash, and the Cainite turned, drawing Longinus from his left side with his right hand like a sword, this being neccasary due to the gun's length. Taking aim, Corbin then fired two shots. By comparison rocket and morter fell silent in the wake of the pistol around them and first a in the closest tower was shattered, followed by the cry of a soldier as a second piller was then hit with the through and through, this causing the rooftop of the tower to collapse.
The second shot flew clear through a sand bag walled bunker to rip two more soldiers in half, and with that Corbin grinned and turned to 'look' at Quint over his right shoulder, this however only showing an eye patch.
"Be carful, disciplines like Chimerstry are dangerous, they can convince you that your being slowly boiled, and if convinced, then it will happen."
Grinning wickedly, Corbin failed to mention that the little compliment he had given Quint, had infact been Chimerstry. It was an illusion, designed to convince him he had the greatest will power of any, which would help him fight back any more illusions.
As Corbin chortled at Quint, a spray of bullets hit Corbin from the forward direction. Cursing at his letting himself get hit, Corbin took aim for the turret responsible, and ffired. One shot was all that was needed, to rip through the turret and the cainite behind it.
With a rythmical clatter, flattened bullets hit the floor at Corbin's feet and he moved to stand infront of Quint. As a morter shell went off near by the air forced away from the explosion whipped Corbin's hair about, and with a keen eye, Quint would notice a silver tinge to Corbin's flesh where it was exposed. With the hide of steel invoked along with potence, Corbin's body shrugged of even the high powered rifle shots as bullets skipped off his figure.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the walking shield."
It wasn't long before a mere handful of cainite soldiers remained on the battle field after Take took to his new form.

Standing on the rooftop, the pair of cloaked figures folded their arms, turning to face Roan as she landed, just the one speaking on the right.
"vell zat ist a new trick. Ja? Herr Engel said nothzing of zis, nor did zee client."
Both then grinned in synch, this stretching the faint cerulean of the visible flesh around their mouths.
"Come, zhow me your malize kiddo."
With an embrace-esque posture and arm extensions, the pair tilted their heads inward, t'ward eachother as the constantly changing wind direction whipped their cloaks about till their hoods were blown from their heads. Hardly human, thats all that could be said. The pair looked identical.
Canines and sub-canines so thick and large that they grew out and over the lips like smal tusks, ruby eyes, the pupils more to the size of iris' surrounded by complete black that sunk into their skulls. The most astonishing part however, was strands of tanslucent saphire hair flicked about in the wind over skin of the very same colour. It was blurred, but Roan could see the scene behind the pair, through their heads. The tint and shade changed with every flash of the fight around them, however for the most part, their skin was a very light shade of blue, nearly completely white.

Mind whizzing back to himself, Quint took a deep breath, surprised to find Corbin beside him. He hadn't felt as if he were gone long, but it was sure that this man knew all about it, even forwarning of the demon's tricks. A swell of pride came over him after Corbin's compliment, Quint smiling in thanks.
He then felt a sense of emergency as one of his partners was hit by a drizzle of bullets, standing whilst shells passed by. A strange color flickered in the man's body, and Quint then found out one of Corbin's likely many secrets.
"With that, I'd love to get in some crazy bar-fights.." He joked, turning to watch their six. One huge Cainite, wielding a minigun that almost looked too small for him approached, grinning while the coils revved up. Though, without much thought Quint smiled back, his own firearm still ready, filled with the powerful fiery rounds.
Bracing himself, he shot.
*BOOM*
Luckily for all involved, the Cainite's aim was sort of shaky, but it was because of this that Quint's bullet met on of the demon's, exploding close to the middle of both. Quint ducked behind a small barrier, waiting for the dust to settle, but the steady tats him that the monster wasn't through yet.
"That's the problem with a lot of demons," Quint spoke to himself, carefully peering over his barricade, "They just don't know when to yield."
Another shot, and this one found it's mark, lodging deep into the creature's chest. It did something like a laugh, gritty and shaky it may have been. It didn't last long however, the explosive round doing its job, the Cainite burning in the rightous flames.
"I..We can do this!" Quint exclaimed, giddy over his last kill.

Turning his head to glance back at Quint, Corbin smirked at the man's work, and his new found confidence. With a chortle, he turned his head back only just in time to catch a Cainite soldier leap out from a window some few meters ahead.
As glass shattered and the soldier hit the road his boots instantlyshook the loose debris under them with a thud and he was launched again towards Corbin, combat knife at the ready, held in reverse in it's right hand.
With a torn uniform, belaklava missing along with its helmet the fiend came down at Corbin with a gaping maw, blood from several civilian victims smeared across it's face.
just before it came within striking distance with the knife however, to the german's dismay a long, slender blade had emmerged from Corbin, piercing the soldier's skull straight through its third eye.
Giving an amused chuckle, Corbin raised his left hand up to his shoulder, displaying that the blade had infact been his index finger nail.
"The skin is a nifty trick, i'll grant you, but its hardly worth mention, in the grand scheme of things."
Magra, being the Cainite deity of blood, was capable of manipulating blood of course, but one component of blood was protein. Beneath the hide of steel, Corbin was still flesh, bones and blood, and so for Magra, accelerating the growth of keratin to turn the nail plate into a lengthy spear was childs play. In addition, once the nails cell matrix left the line between flesh and steel it became steel like the rest of Corbin.
Glancing about himself, as this unfortunate victim dangled from his nail in the air, Corbin's ivory eye blipped with several ripple effects that emmerged from different points on the surface of his pupil.
"By these stakes I condem thee to the abyss."
He was inded correct. Before Corbin ten men remained that had yet to be devoured by the serpents Take had set free. Behind him, infront of Quint he wasn't sure, any stragglers left there were left to that man.
Thus, Corbin holstered his gun, and then folded his arms over his chest, wrists crossed over his collar bone as he pointed his fingers and thumbs with each target in mind. His soul sight could pick them out among the buildings with ease, lighting them up as moderately luminescent sources of light.
Opening his mouth, Corbin let a long, forked tongue roll out so the split end hung over his wrists, a ghastly snarl rattling his throat, as nine blades of steel errupted from his hands, the nails piercing through walls, shields and armour alike to get at their prey. It was over in near an instant, and the nails retracted, pulling the bodies as some still cried in agony, hitting the nails with what ever they could get their hands on, trying to get free.
With the nails retracted to a uniform ten meters in length he spread his fingers, holding the soldiers up in the air with apparent ease, forming his own grotesque, monstrous peacock-esque tail of steel, bodies and blood.
"Thats nine."
With a look terror, the tenth man left emmerged from behind his cover, and old hatch back car and began firing his automatic rifle wildly in vain. Laughing as bullets skipped off his hide and hit the high hung soldiers, Corbin raised his right heel, then scuffed the boot forward to create a spark, which quickly turned to a line of fire that raced across the ground to the soldier's feet, before expanding with an explosion, setting off the car beside the german alike.
Turning his eye on the most lively of the captured prey, Corbin's lips tore through his cheeks to allow for a wicked grin spreading from ear to ear. With a gasp for the german in Corbin's eye, he then with a swift motion, uncrossed his arms, throwing his arms out at his sides with bent elbows as his nails cut through the ground. Limbs, body halves and gore sprayed all around him as the men were sliced apart from them selves.

((Sonofabitch. I miss one day...just one...and look what happens. gawddamn.))
He had remained in the jeep when the first of the rounds had started flying. He would have protested to Roan, stating the obvious intent to lure them all in to finish them off...but he knew better. When she dropped the card key and left them behind, he simply got out of the jeep and began to hoof it to a safe distance with a clear line of sight.
As he watched the carnage from well out of range, he shook his head slowly.
What I would give for a sniper rifle.
The calls over the comm from his partner and employer did little to dissuade him as he remained well clear of the fighting. If they were going to do everything in their power to get themselves killed, he wasn't going to let them drag him with them. Suicide missions were NOT his style. He'd suffered too many of them by this point as it is.
((not really what i wanted to do, but oh well))

((Gah wtf!))
*Dagoth flash stepped next to 99's jeep. He didnt seemed bothered by the rounds pinging by him, Dagoth was dressed in his shinigami gear complete with Captins jacket with the kanji for 9th squad on the back. Turning his head slightly to 99*
Satus report.
*His voice was comanding and cold. Behind a small group of shinigamis appeared each on hunched down to avoid detection.*

Well, at least NOW we know why you're so twisted and bitter.
*She smirked at the pair before her, not phased by their appearance - at least, not while she still had need to fight them*
Where is Engel? Oh and while we're at it... Dagoth. 99. Corbin and Quint will give you cover. I want you inside teh building beneath me and liberating anything of use.
*She then did something slightly stupid. Though she did not remove the earpiece, she turned it off. Instantly, the fed back sounds of Corbin and Quint fighting on the ground seemed less close and her focus turned completely on the 'twins' before her*
I thank you for the new trick compliment... but its really just a case of knowing your allies... and your enemies. Though Im not Malice - that belongs to another Syn - I am intrigued by your further statement. And the fact you can even talk with those mouths.
*She let the hebrew scrawled over her body spread out across the roof top, her phoenix tattoo moving too to dominate teh center of teh space on the floor, the hebrew forming a spiral out from it*
They call me Vengeance. It is my job to take revenge. Let me show you hell.
*Her eyes both turned red and she punched the floor, her stance going wide as she leered at the pair. Along each line of hebrew chaotic energy ripped along the ground, tearing through dimensions as it went. Power also radiated directlly out from her fist in ten straight lines, bisecting the spiral, amplifying the power until it reached high into the night sky*

Status? They blew the ******** out of the town, and Roan in her infinite wisdom walked right into their intended ambush. Does the term "SNAFU" mean anything to you?
He spoke softly, with a strong tinge of annoyance. This whole battle was one big mistake, in his eyes.
And now she wants us to follow her straight into the fray. That's just ******** joyous, now ain't it?
He started a light jog to the building, discarding his silencers as he went.
Damn. Trust Murphy's gawddamn law to screw us over like this.

During a brief moment of peace, Quint unloaded his pistol, counting the remaining amount of shells he had left.
"Four, damn these things are small.." He said to himself, loading a regular clip in its place. He felt that those last shots could be used in a better situation, and peeking out from his cover, Quint could see that while the battle was far from over, those rounds would be wasted on the spotted soliders about.
Plugging a few shots into a man who was running without cause at him, Quint recieved orders, ducking back to address Corbin.
"We're not far away now!" He yelled to get his voice over the last bang of an explosion. "I'll move out first, give you some cover, meet me at the point!"
Small arms fire continued to rain upon the two, but it was sporadic and was intended to keep them pinned. A couple of steady breaths, and Quint went out into a low sprint, getting to a wall between Corbin and Roan's location. From here he used a bit of his own powers in forming small fireballs that rained from the sky, hitting random places on the field. Making careful aim to not hit any allies, the bombardment continued, enemies either running to get away from an incoming flame, or ducking behind cover.
One hand had to be used to keep up his casting, so with the other Quint beckoned Corbin over, using a small gesture to lower the chances of someone finding out their plan.

As Roan turned off her com link, this producing a short buzz in Corbin's blue tooth, indicating that a device was turned off. Snarling, he looked off towards the warehouse and clenched his fists after his nails retracted to a more managable length.
"Damn that woman."
With an ivry eye still, he could see the pair as clear as day from his position, and what he saw, he was far from pleased with. It was then however, as he focused on number one, that he noticed something aside from the secret to his odd hide. He had no heart.
Cocking a brow, Corbin looked over the fallen soldiers around him. Focusing on internal organs, he went wide eyed at what he saw. None of them had hearts. The hearts had been removed from their bodies.
With a look of urgency, Corbin called out over the com link.
"Everyone, be on guard! this fight isn't won yet!"
Sae for the very few stragglers remaining, all of the german soldiers had been taken care of, though Corbin had stumbled upon what was surely a trap.
"They aren't dead yet!"
With that, Corbin invoked celerity, and was gone from his position in a flash. In a frenzy to reach Roan, Corbin ran up the side of the wharehouse, hollering at the top of his lungs.
"ROAN! DONT HIT THEM!"

Watching Roan's display, the pair of number ones cackled loudly. Corbin's voice could be heard as he approached, however intent on atleast getting off one step of the plan before Roan was joined, the pair moved their right hands to their chests and clutched over the location of their missing hearts.
"Vith no heartz, vee cannot be deztroyed!"
And with that, a booming thud echoed out from the pair, mimicing the beat of a heart, and as the sound echoed through out the area, bodies began to stir. Blood was slowly, but surely beginning to pool together, and flesh started to mend, as the soldiers already taken down started to rise up from where they lay.
With wounds rapidly healing, and even bodies cut to shreds mending back together, countless roars and howels pierced the air.
Grinning wildly, the pair of Ravnos then split up. One launched himself forward and reached into his cloak as he was about to meet with Roan's first attack.
With a twinkle in his beady little ruby eyes the Ravnos pulled the cloak from his body, throwing it away from his body, however this material shrouding was immediately replaced by a much greater veil. Bats, so many bats of no human understanding or classification flooded out from the cloak.
As these nocturnal terrors with vibrant ruby eyes moved infront of the Ravnos, he vanished from Roan's sight just before the chaotic energy hit the wall of flying vermin.
With a predictable result of charred mammals carpeting the rooftop, the Ravnos had vanished from sight.
Meanwhile, the second Ravnos had launched himself backwards, heading for the edge of the roof to converge on Corbin and try to keep him at bay. Mimicing the first Ravnos, this one hurled his cloak into the air and as a result a wave of bats rushed out to stream line ahead of him and fly over the edge of the roof. Half simply flew over the edge, while others dove down the side of the building racing down towards Corbin to give this number one cover.
Suddenly, ears would start to pick up the sound of a flutter on the wind, and should any look up at the sky, they would see the moon blocked out by what could only be described as an entire colony of these unnatural bats.
With the sky full of circling vermin, there was a sudden explosion of bats, a low flying group had dispersed to reveal the Ravnos skidding across the rooftop towards her. Now fully exposed it was evident the 'man's' entire body was just as his head. He wore no armour, just a tightly fitted vest, and the same uniform pants that Engel wore. With a bulky military harness with strappings similiar to a backpack he carried two 40. glocks in shoulder holsters, both holsters complete with two spare magazines. two combat tanto knives on the suspender strappings and a reel of wire.
With his rush at Roan, a pair of Machette sheathes now lay empty at his hips, and he came at her with the right hand held, diamond edged weapon with an attempt to cleave the hide, and wings from her back.

His blood ran cold as the reports over the comm gave him this new revelation.
You're kidding....
With a snarl, he checked his UMP, and thumbed off the safety. He then began to sprint headlong for the objective, keeping low and using as much cover as possible.
