ooc: noko, pyro, & reese are at the hotel... they are in noko's room, and reese is talking to regina on the phone... regina is at the institute cuz new guy, TNL, brought her there and she's doubting some (but not all) of the brotherhood ways. phenix, kala, and TNL are all in the room with regina. phenix and kylia are gearing up to go to the mall so they can shop for the xmen camping trip coming up... meanwhile, pietro is serenading koko with some old school disco... oh! and wanda is at the hotel sleeping in the next room as the others, her, noko, and i believe koko are planning to go on a nice little hunt for magneto.......... my character (skarlet) is in the woods meditating....

Pietro looked up from the note, an almost stupified look on his face. "Well now... so that's why you weren't talking..." he said, blushing a little as he noted her sign language.
He leaned over to give her a kiss, and held her close as they danced together in silence, not that any words were needed. And yet, Pietro felt like they were about to become distant once more.
"Koko.." he whsipered... "Are you planning to go somewhere?"

OOC: Okily Dokily, Ginko. Btw, does anybody know which Simpsons character came out last week? I missed it.
Also, if anybody else ever wants me to play Xavier for them. Its cool. I have no problem playing the big guy.

Phenix, I apologize for the intrusion, but I would like to meet with Regina. I am... busy... at the moment or I would come myself.
Phenix didn't appreciate the mental intrusions, but Xavier was never maliciuos with it. So she accepted it as a 'the way it is' kind of thing and a more personal intercom system. She went up to Regina and tapped her on the shoulder, "Regina, Professor Xavier would like to see you... since you're thinking of joining us."
Regina had seemed somewhat upset by the phone call. Well, not really upset, but it definately affected her. Regina nodded, "It's understandable."
Phenix led her out into the main foyer and down the main wing to their left. She showed her the library and some of their specialized classrooms on the way. Xavier and his investors spared no expense on the Insitute.
Xavier was seated behind his desk and was working on some paperwork. he looked up at Phenix and said, "I need to speak with you later, Ms. Carmike. I believe you know what family maters it relates to."
Phenix bit her lip knowing that he meant her brother and then left Regina. She told her she'd meet up with her later.
"Regina, tell me, why do you want to be a part of the Institute?"

ooc: I just thought of something... even to me it sounds like regina just wants to use the institute for her own good... lol, hope that doesn't make them kick her out.

"Well... I want to be part of something organized. I want to learn my powers. I have one right know I'm not totally sure on and want to see if I can control it better..." Regina answered. "I want... to be part of someone's group. Friends.
She thought about it for a minute and realized that it was all her wants. I wonder if that's going to affect his decision or not... I just want a place to belong...

TNL, wanting to meet the professer, followed the girl and Regina when they went to meet the professor. When the got there, the girl left and Regina started talking to the professor, and leaned against the wall right outside the office, waiting for a turn to say hi. She seems rather timid, I wonder what's the matter?

Professor Xavier folded his hands on his desk and smiled... it seemed somewhat uncharacteristic and yet one of those smiles from a wise man. The ones that make it seem like they have all the insight the world ever needed.
"Belonging is something everybody wants, and I hope that you're able to find it here. We have a good group of students and alot to offer you in regards to your powers."
He picked a file up that had Regina's name on it. Xavier seemed to always be prepared, "I know this meeting is probably not what you expected, but I am not akin to turning people away. Not even the Brotherhood. I have watched you in various situations, in the Amazon and with the Horsemen. I think you would make an excellent student here."
"Just like that?" Regina exclaimed in surprise. The meeting really was nothing like she expected.
He nodded, "Just like that. I expect you, though, to keep up our standards if you choose to stay here. We know that not everybody is a stellar student, but we expect our students to keep their end of the bargain. No physical attacks on other students, no cheating, ethics, and the likes. I'm sure you understand."
She nodded, "What about my powers? Who will teach me?"
"We all have a hand in your education. Ms. Munroe, who I believe you met, will do a considerable amount of your training. She is an excellent teacher. You can ask Phenix when you have a chance. Ms. Grey, Mr. Kinner, Mr. McCoy, Mr. Logan, Mr. Summers... all teach regular specialized courses that one cannot receive at the High School or any of the colleges."
"Our doors are open if you want to take a place in our establishment," Xavier handed her a booklet of papers which included a student handbook, "If you're not ready to make your decision today, we have guest quarters which you can stay in for a time until you are ready to decide."

Phenix walked out of Xavier's office. Her heart jumped up in her throat. Was he angry about David? Was he angry at her? Was he going to expel her for knowing what David was up to? And where did she leave Kylia?
She was in knots, but stopped when the new guy came into her view. Her own problems weren't going to stop her from being welcoming to other students so she offered her hand, "I'm Phenix. I understand you're new here. I'm glad to meet you."

After all... you're talking to a guy who knows lots of obscure mutants who could flatten your little team wink
IC: Warren looked at the remains of his property, an almost emotionless look on his face.
"The house?" he asked to his assistant.
"Unsalvagable, Sir..."
"The help?"
"They were all killed in the blast."
"What about surveilance?"
"Luckily they didn't seem to care enough to get that... and we do know that this wasn't the 'Pyro' boy... it appeared to be some kind of group hit. We're already tracking them back to their place."
"Good... lets pay them a visit, I've got a few favors to call in. And if I find out that this Pyro put out that hit... he'll be next."

Regina nodded quickly. "I think I want to stay." She looked at the handbook. "I was almost done with my college bachelors degree... Will I be taking real academic classes or just things on concentration and the like?"
I... so he's been watching me? Okay, wait, thoughts. She just realized that he had read her mind on the belonging thing. It creeped her out a little but at the same time she didn't mind. She was excited about finally being part of something other than a mixed up group of kids that didn't know if they wanted to talk to you or gouge your heart out first.
"Don't worry. I don't want to hurt anyone or start fights. If you've watched me so much, you know that's not a worry." she said softly. "Hey, TNL... come on in, I have a feeling he knows you're there anyways."
