Kimiko blushed some, and gazed down towards the silver squares that adorned her skirts still. Well...Where I'm from...we're born, and aged to whatever age our parents feel desirable...The process is instantaneous, and I...well, I suppose that despite that, we know how to control out powers as if we'd grown through the years rather than been set to our age. She wasn't sure that would make sense to Kalan, but she looked to him, waiting for any questions he might have.

Kalan nodded and chewed on his bottom lip for awhile, "Like the Greek gods," he pointed out. Eyes widening he sat back up on his elbows he watched Kimiko with new eyes. "Is that what your parents are? Gods?" He knew those from other Realms came to the Underground often, and that Jordyn was dating a Goddess, but he hadn't met any on his own and was suddenly curious.

Kimiko gasped softly as Kalan shifted to his elbows, but giggled softly and nodded another lazy nod. My mother is...My father is a clone...er...well...she paused, biting her lip as she tried to find a way to phrase what her father was. He was created from cells pulled from a genetic accident...that created my grandfather.Hearing this rather than thinking it made her laugh, and she shook her head some as she shifted to sit crosslegged next to the boy, smoothing her skirts out so they covered her knees. But...I guess that you could say they both are...My father is surprisingly powerful. she nodded, blushing slightly as she looked to him. I keep forgetting that not everyone here was like me...she admitted, offering a smile.

Kalan ran his hands through his hair again, to brush it out of his eyes. "Yeah, my adopted sister has that problem a lot. You sort of remind me of her, really. Very sweet and kind." Grinning lop-sidedly he dropped himself down to just one elbow, to look up at Kimiko. "So, tell me about your family." Sticking his tongue out he popped another candy in his mouth.

Mm...Kimiko whimpered, glancing over the surface of the lake again. I don't know many of my half siblings, as I lived with my father rather than with my mother...I do know there's at least a hundred and fifty, and a few of them here, but none of them have been home...she started, her painted lips falling to a frown a moment before she giggled and shook her head. I have two brothers, one of which is here...somewhere...she nodded, moving to look back to Kalan. The one that I came to this place with, his name is Jeika. But...she drifted off and frowned again, tilting her head. You probably wouldn't want to meet him - he's not the friendliest...and he likes to fight.

He laughed and played with a blade of grass, "That's a whole ton of siblings then. I thought my family was enough." Humming silently he thought about Kimiko's brother, who did that sound like? Cracking up, Kalan fell back to the grass and struggled to get his breath. "Your brother, Jeika, sounds like a male version of the real witchy woman that rents a room in my house." Smirking he could envision a boy like Davina, "I think you're right. I wouldn't really want to meet him."

Kimiko smiled brightly, giggling softly as she looked to Kalan. My mother brought us here hoping that Jeika would gain people skills. She paused to think a moment, agreeing that being caught in the middle of constant battling over who should do what and when with her father, uncles, and grandfather could take a toll on one's sanity. Tell me about the people you live with, Kalan! Kimiko chimed, shifting to sit with her legs curled around her side, keeping herself propped up with her hand.

Kalan tapped his finger on his lips in thought, who to start with.. Laughing he knew instantly. "Well, there are my sisters. Aurora is a run away princess with stupid amounts of talent, and her 'twin' Merryn is a bird-brained Angel. Jordyn is sort of the older brother to all of us, especially Merryn and is an angel too. And then there's Davina. She's the witch I was telling you about. She and Aurora have something going between them like a rivalry, but I try not to pry. Then there's me and Jerry. Jerry is a telepathic snake." Taking a deep breath he brushed his hair out of his face. "More people are constantly showing up around the place, but I don't know if they really live with me or not." Laughing nervously he rested himself back down on both arms. "I don't think I could live with my sisters and Jordyn, though. They're the closest thing I've had to family in a really long time."

Wow...Kimiko breathed, trying to invision his family the best she could based on how he seemed to vibrate as he talked about them. Telepathic snake?! she squeeked after a moment of thinking. She knew a couple of people who could transform into snakes, but she didn't think anyone like that would be in this little place.

Kalan laughed and smiled inside at the first time Akki had seen Jerry. Man, I really need to get over this. Scratching the back of his neck lightly he cocked his head, "She's pretty harmless, really. We've become really good friends."

Is it a real snake? Or a person choosing to be in a snake's form? Kimiko asked, somewhat curious. She could feel that something was bothering him, but decided not to bring it up, for sake of making him uncomfortable with her presence.

"Merryn turned one of the living room couches into Jerry." Musing he chuckled, "She was pretty drunk when she did it, so I really can't tell you if she teleported someone who was choosing to be a snake or if she really turned the couch into a 'talking' reptile." Looking at Kimiko he grinned brightly, "I think she'd like you, and you can maybe ask her sometime."

Kimiko blushed softly and shrugged her shoulders, smiling as she looked to Kalan. Maybe! She echoed, gazing back over the water. This place looks so different during the day...she whispered, remembering the night she turned the water to glass to get Quinn across it.

Kalan smiled a small whisp of a smile, and shook his head. "I wouldn't know." Looking down at his lap and his new school sweater he bit back a sigh, saying softly, "I would have liked to see this place at night with Akki."

Kimiko returned her attention to Kalan and tilted her head some. Who's Akki, if you don't mind my asking? she asked, smiling softly.
