She nodded, understanding why they would do this but trusting his advice. She moved to the pit, ready to begin, and after getting in position began with the exercise.

* Ali walked over to the pit and picked up a match from his left pocket, lighting it by scraping the head across the floor and tossing it down into the pit. Folding his arms afterwards and watching Ziven intently as the flames roared below her.* 170 push-ups. Start now.

"As you wish." she said, proceeding with doing so over the fire. It was not comfortable, but it was tolerable. No complaining as time went on, even when her arms began to tire, she continued until she reached 150. "Twenty remaining." she said, the effects of exercising and the fire showing more with each minute.

Keep going.* Ali narrowed his eyes at Ziven afterwards, She was doing good but if he praised her now odds were she would let it go to her head and get over confident. Which again would most likely lead to a mistake and that could get ugly.*

"As you wish." she said between movements, now becoming more difficult to speak as she continued and would soon reach 200, where she would begin to tire more rapidly. It would show as her movements slowed but she would not speak of it.

* Ali reached down and grabbed onto her now very warm left shoulder with his left hand and put his right on her chest, pulling her up and away from the gap and making sure she could stand by herself. Smiling at her.* I meant keep going until you had taken 170, not over 200 hundred. In any case good job. Take five minutes to rest now.

She looked to him with confusion and surprise, as she found her balance, able to stand on her own. Bobbing her head, she turned a bit, stretching out and keeping movement as she did since she was now quite sore. "My apologies for the confusion." she replied softly.

No need to apologize, I felt compelled to let you take Push-ups until your arms would give in but decided that was a bad idea.* Ali smiled at her and walked over to the gap, looking down at the flames before crouching down and moving his left hand slowly over it. Narrowing his eyes somewhat.* Seems the heat has reached it's peak. Tell you what, If you manage to stand in a split over the gap for ten whole minutes and additional fifteen minutes after that. I'll personally make you and Hunter a romantic place, meals and music for a date.

She blushed and bobbed her head. "I will do my best, as always. It is not necessary to attempt to bribe me." she said, looking completely serious still.

It's not a bribe, it's a prize* Ali smiled at Ziven before he stood up again, rubbing his hand somewhat afterwards and stepping away.* Alright, The endurance test. Begin when you're ready.

* Ali remained close to the edge of the gap in case she were to loose balance or consciousness, wouldn't want her to fall into a pit filled with flaming oil. That would really ruin her looks.*

She continued to focus on breathing, being calm, remaining strong as the minutes passed. Moving very little, she did so only to alter her balance slightly, move her feet back up on the edges as they began to slip. "This would be easier if one did not need to sweat through their feet."

Heh...Imagine me doing this on a monthly basis without clothes on and chained in place for a hour.* Ali smile grew a little wider as he watched her, the first ten minutes and the last fifteen minutes were the worst for him. In the beginning he'd just want to get the hall away from it, in the end one began to wonder when on earth a hour had passed.*
