Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu Training: 28/100
The Hosenka was actually quite strange for a fire Jutsu. While most focuses on inflicting great, destructive damage, the Hosenka was actually meant more for defense and hiding surprise shuriken attacks. Hana still has yet to work on the shuriken, however, because first she will need to work on the fireballs themselves.

Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu Training: 29/100
Keeping her mind focused, Hana expelled another fireball. She was trying to make her Jutsu more intense and destructive, despite that not normally being in Hosenka’s nature. Frowning, with determination in her eyes, Hana was serious about proving her worth to the village.

Taking a deep breath, Hana’s hands quickly flew through the handseals before landing on tiger. She expelled her fire chakra, unleashing a pretty considerable fireball. She would work on expelling ten more fireballs of this size before trying to add another Hosenka fireball in her trails.

Hanafubuki was quite pleased with her Hosenka progress but it was still not enough. She wanted to make her fireballs even stronger. Forming the handseals rapidly, the red-haired kunoichi focused on drawing out her chakra and building that chakra up in her chest before expelling the fire Jutsu.

Hana was able to maintain her last fireball up to her expectations but however she wanted to perform some more trails, just to make sure how intense she can make the flames of one fireball more stabilized. This Jutsu was actual harder than she imagined...in fact, Hana would say learning the Gokakyuu was much easier because in the Hosenka, all of the fireballs will have to be equal in power.

Her next fireball was also able to keep the same power as her previous ones. Hana felt slightly more confident in how well she could perform the Jutsu but more work would definitely be needed. After all, in a real battle, this sort of gamble would not be wise to take. She would have to make sure her Hosenka fireballs were powerful.

Hands flying through the seals, Hanafubuki performed the Hosenka again, this time directing the fireball at the river. It was able to burn intensely for a few moments before being extinguished. Pretty good attempt, but not good enough. She would have to make the attack even more powerful.

Again and again, the red-haired kunoichi continued directly her Hosenka Jutsu at the river. It was troublesome how the flames would only last for a few moments before being extinguished. However, each time Hana performed the technique, the latter fireball would always burn for a few moments more than the previous one. If it was some sort of comfort, she supposed this would be some kind of improvement.

Her next fireball lasted for about twenty seconds on the river’s surface before a breeze blew, churning the water, and quickly extinguished the flames. It was a pretty good improvement but Hana wanted to make the flames last for a minute or so. She was determined to put all of her effort into mastering this Jutsu.

Hana continued to work on lengthening the amount of time her Hosenka fireballs could burn. The red-haired kunoichi was determined to master the Hosenka and show the village that she was not a slacker because she was a woman but someone whom deserved respect. Hands flying through the seals, Hanafubuki continued with her Hosenka training.

Hana knew that it was a bad idea to overwork herself but she really wanted to master this Jutsu. In fact, she completed in a single day what would take most shinobis three. She should be proud of this fact but Hana simply continued with her Hosenka training. Since she felt more confident about the Jutsu now, she can’t give up. And she’ll even give up her sleeping time to finish.

The next fireball burned for around thirty seconds on the water surface. Feeling a bit happier, Hana decided on one more Hosenka trail before she will take another much-needed break. Hands quickly and accurately forming the seals, the girl prepared to launch another Hosenka fireball.

Perfect. She was able to make the fireball last for forty seconds on the river’s surface. It’s true she was not quite at her goal of making the fireball last for a minute but this was quite an excellent bit of improvement. Hana knew she could take a break now, because after the break, she will be adding another fireball to her Hosenka trails. And breathing and maintaining two at once would be more difficult.

After her little break, Hana began working on the Hosenka again, except this time her goal was to breathe two strong fireballs at once. Quickly forming the seals, the red-haired kunoichi took a deep breath, before expelling two consecutive fireballs. Even though they were both fairly strong, the strength of the second fireball was noticeably less powerful.

Hana sighed as she had clearly caught the decrease in her Hosenka fireballs’ strength. Not good. She will have to work on breathing two equally powerful fireballs at once. She was able to fairly maintain the first’s power but the second fireball had to be worked on. Concentrating on drawing out her chakra, Hana prepared for another Hosenka trail.
