There is nothing there. Don't worry about it. There is nothing right outside of your vision. That little trick of the light you saw was just that, a trick of the light. Especially if you are in the dark. Alone. There is no way there is something behind you. Reaching around to get you. You don't have to look. It doesn't exist. It's not like it can become small right? Not like it can get small and hover behind your head. Also how could something be that fast? That wouldn't be natural. You don't have to look. You don't take your eyes off this page, off the safe glow of the monitor, the comforting shapes of the letters making up this sentence. This is safe. What's behind you isn't. Or rather it is. Yes. Totally safe. I mean you haven't looked back yet have you? Back into rows and rows of teeth that just keep going down into a throat. Horrible crooked teeth that absolutely don't exist. If you look behind you pretty soon you might find yourself doubting what is real and what isn't. Pretty soon you might start to have the nightmares. One day you'll wake up to find yourself an emaciated wreck who can't trust space and time anymore. Whether something is real or not doesn't matter here; the consequences are the same. Just keep reading. I mean the creaks and noises are just your house, or your cat, or somebody snoring. Wait your cat is in your room right? Do you have a cat? I wouldn't worry about it.

Good idea. Everybody knows nothing can be behind you when there is a wall there. Right?

Yeah, it can't get behind you if you are looking at a mirror. That would be silly. The thing that doesn't exist that is. I mean that it would be able to know where your eyes were and stay right behind your head. Right where you can't see it. Psh. What a crazy idea.
