6-1=5 Fail Kimiko attempted to perform the boar sign once again. She clapped her hands together and turned them upside, yet again pain shot through her hand. Tears welled up in her eyes as she rubbed her wrist. If she couldn't even master hand signs, how would she ever learn jutsu, and without jutsu she would be a failure as a ninja. "Maybe I should stick to Taijutsu like the other non-gifted people in my clan. Shikotsumyaku or not, this ninja stuff just wasn't meant for me to do" She sat on the ground and rested for a bit, looking up at the ceiling and rolling her shoulders. The bones popped in and out of socket continuously as she willed them to. That was about as much of her bloodlines power as she could muster at this point in her training. It wasn't much, but it saved her from a few trips to the hospital.
2-1=1 Fail Kimiko stood up and looked at the symbol once more. She had been doing it correctly, but pain had been stopping her from finishing. A look of uncertainty crossed her face as she took a step back and began to try the hand sign once again. Hands together like she was praying to the jutsu gods to let her finally succeed. Thumbs pressed together and pointing upwards just like she was hard pressed to complete this handsign and hopelessly looking to the heavens for help. And finally she turned it upside down, which is exactly what happened to the rest of her world when the pain began in her pinkies and radiated up her arms and into her abdomen. She broke of the hand sign and held her stomach. She was unsure whether the pain was from it tensing up or from hunger. She walked over to her bag and undid the drawstring, removing a thermos and a sandwich. The thermos was cold to the touch. She opened it and revealed her favorite drink. A smile spread over her face as hope returned to her.
12-1=11 Pass Kimiko put the thermos to her lips and began to chug down its chilled contents, as she finished the first half of the drink she set it down to reveal a large chocolate milk mustache on her face. The sugary, chocolaty, creamy goodness went down her throat and hit her tummy like gasoline to a fire. She was ready to rock! She unwrapped the sandwich and took a few quick bites of the turkey and cheddar deliciousness wrapped in a wheat blanket of bread and cuddled up next to a lettuce blanket and tomato bed. She felt ready for victory! So she set down the sandwich on her desk and began to try the hand sign again. Hands praying. Fingers interlocking. Curling down. Thumbs up. ANNNNNNNND Bam! as she turned it over she no longer felt pain as she channeled her chakra through the hand sign. She did however feel something else bubbling down deep inside her tummy. It worked her way up her throat and out of her mouth as she belched the belch of victory!
2-1=1 Fail Kimiko broke her hand free from the previous hand sign like they had been shackled. She was more than ready to finally move past the I Boar symbol and onto the next one, she looked at the chart and the next symbol was the dragon symbol Tatsu. It looked similar to the boar except forward and stretched out. She put her hands in a prayer stance and interlocked the fingers, then she overlapped her thumbs and extended the pinkies outward. She rotated it ninety degrees and tried to channel chakra through it, but got nothing. She wondered what could have gone wrong. She looked at her chart and saw the flaw her right thumb needed to be under her left. She nodded as she took a step back from the chart and prepared to try again.
2-1=1 Fail Kimiko looked at the scroll again and began to preform the dragon hand sign once more. Hands forward, fingers interlocked and thumbs crossed left over right. It seemed easy, but she had screwed it up once, and as she performed it this time and tried to flow her chakra through the hand sign she realized that she had screwed up again. She looked at the chart againt to figure it out and realized that she must have the fingering wrong. So she compared them back and forth, and sure enough her symbol started right finger first and the picture showed left finger first. She was totally going to get it next time though ... she hoped.

Yuiitsu, Chishio
LV. 1 Experience: 45/100 Hp: 9/9 Cp: 8/8 MHp: 9/9
Yuiitsu continued with his attempts at making knots, grabbing another piece of string as he looked around the classroom. He sighed as everyone seemed to be quite busy with their own training. He sighed and started to work one tying the string in the right knot. He continued to work his little fingers around the twist and turned of the string but his mind was elsewhere, trying to figure out if he should really even become a medical ninja. He knew Tenko was going for the same thing and Tenko seems very capable with his chakra and his control over it. The thoughts made Yuiitsu sigh, and he began to lose focus and started making mistakes in the knot. Sadly, by the time he realized and stopped messing with it he noticed it was a complete mess and put the string aside as it was no longer usable in the condition it was now in.
He scratched his head and then ran a hand through his hair quickly before shaking it out. He sighed as he grabbed and sliced off a new piece of string. He put his small sword on the desk next to the string in case he needed to cut it again. He quickly went to work working on the string as his fingers twisted with the string. He was trying his hardest to focus and not mess up again. He continued to catch himself every time his mind would start to slip slightly. He sighed as he looked at the mess in his hands. He knew that he was focusing on the things that didn't matter but he couldn't stop it for some odd reason. He mumbled to himself as tossed the other tangled mess of string onto the other one. It was starting to make a little pile.
He slowly measured out another piece of string and quickly cut it. He held the string in his hands and took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. He focused on clearing his mind of all the thoughts that have been bothering him since he started comparing himself to Tenko. There was no way he could really compete with someone like that. He winced and focused harder as he realized he was doing it again. He took a deep breath and cleared his mind making him basically a shell. He quickly moved his fingers in the way he remembered to form the proper knot he was trying to make. He easily made it now that his mind was clear. He had set the string aside with the successes. He was nearly done with the training.
Walking into the classroom quietly, the boy looked around to get a feel for his surroundings. It was indeed an academy for young shinobi, but he also felt out of place. It was a normal feeling, considering he was new to the academy. Taking a deep breath in, he let the air out of his lungs slowly. Nodding to himself, he took a seat and opened his jacket pocket. Pulling out a medical book, he opened it to page one and started reading... clearly he was going to be here for awhile. Looking threw the book and its contents, he was already making plans. Raised as a medical shinobi, he needed resources and income. Income for the equipment and expenses, all he needec to do was get better... this brought a smile on his face.
Reaching down into his desk and pulling out another book, shinra placed both books on the desk. Opening the other book, shinra started reading the book of hand signs. He needed to familiarize himself with the contents of the book in hopes of graduating with a perfect score and performance. But he was looking forward to something else, but that was for later on... a journal would be nice. He thought randomly, but it did bring his thoughts back to hs training.
Stopping to look around for a moment, it was clear his mind wondered again. That was a pain, but he had another list of things he needed to do in his mind. A journal would help him stay on track, information was power... he wanted it regardless of the cost. The more he took note, the better he would manage his life. Money, progress, natural resources was just a mission or two away... but in combat he would need help. He would resume that thought later on, he needed to return to the task at hand.
Looking back at the school books, he started to study the handsigns that he needed to learn. Dragon, tiger, and alot of other interesting signs filled its pages. But even if it was informative, it was only a means to an end for him. It seemed the other students had either left or were playing around about something, it mattered little to him. He would make friends and enemies here, good for keeping him on his ties.
Flipping to the next section of the books, he started reading about the page of the signs for their respected elements. He smiled at that, respected elements his foot.. his business surrounding that was healing people. Yet he could not help but claim that for now. He was a healer now, a medical shinobi that will learn the human body and its limits. finishing with half the page, he signed nd closed his medical book... he was learning.
Closing his eyes for a moment, the young child started to think about his life and career. He was told he was going to be a healer, but he knew better then to trust alot of stuff adults say. Most of it was true, but he could care less about it... he needed to get stronger. He needed to get money to buy his things, resources was a word he was raised with. His mother tought him differently then most parents, he was adopted but he was smart enought to save his money... but the training continued.
Clapping his hands together with a sinister smile, shinra got down to creating the handsigns needed. Thankfully there was not alot to discourage him, but he was going to be very busy here. The young medic needed to learn more about Medical ninjutsu and ninjutsu itself. The more he knew and could do, the more powerful he would become. He kept the sinister smile as he continued weaving the handsigns, this was easy and fun.
Finishing up with the handsigns, shinra sighed threw his smile before dropping it and placing the academy book away. He need to plan and think, he could learn jutsus here and and improve himself. But he was going to pace himself, he didnt want to graduate too soon or too late. To that end, he was going to focus on his skills and improve himself so he was not a burden.
A lithe man entered the classroom, wearing a wide brim hat, and an equally wide smirk. "Ah, I see you all have already begun without me!" He said happily, stroking his blonde goatee slightly, as his free hand rested on a ninjato at his hip. To say this man was dressed flamboyantly would be an understatement, his outfit a colorful mash up of various pieces of clothing. "Ah, I should introduce myself. I am Turi, and I will be your instructor during your time at this fine academy of ours!" He said as he moved behind the teacher's desk, and removed his hat, placing it down on the desk. "You may finish what you all are doing, then we shall truly begin!" He said with a smile as he ran his hand through his short blonde hair.
Laying back in his chair, he started to focus and get a feel for his chakra that flowed in his body. He could feel it like the blood in his body, moving around without direction. The young medic needed to improve the flow of his chakra if he was to graduate from the academy, otherwise he was a failure as a shinobi. Thankfully the currect seemed to be manipulated easily, so he started to move the chakra to his hands. He needed a focus and so he choose his finger tips, then started direction the currents to them.
Success was a great feeling, as he felt the chakra move threw his arms like a current. But it was still too thin and narrow. Shinra needed to improve more, but he was enjoying it... no matter how slowly it was going. The current in his arms was also slow but crawling slightly, maybe more training was required but he was sure of one thing. it still had not reached his hands yet, or his finger tips. Nodding slightly, he continued to focus and push the current further into his hands. This was only the beginning of his training, he was hoping that this training would improve his effectiveness.
Relaxing for a moment, Shinra's mind suddenly snapped into focus as he nearly jumped out of his seat. straightening his back and looking around like something was wrong, Shinra could not help but feel like something was wrong. He was not missing anything, so what was he forgetting? breakfast, no he had that before he left. Health check? he was healthy as can be... but he lacked strength, better health and better looks. The young boy shock his head is dismissal, smiling at the thought of his health. his looks and health needed improvements, but his strength was not something he needed.
Maybe it was a 6th sence thing, like something was calling out to him? looking out the window, Shinra smiled and shock his head again. laying back down and trying to get comfortable, he started to focus and trying to return to his natural mind state. his training was more important then anything else, or was it? something was mentally calling out for him out there. but it must have been living if it was 6th sence, he had to investigate later.
Closing his eyes to focus on the current of his chakra, it became clear that it was beginners luck. He was not in as much control as he was hoping he was, but it mattered little as he was slowly resetting the current in his body back to the way it was. one of the benefits for this was simple, shinra was actually only redirecting the flow. It was nothing special, it was easy to do. But he had the knowledge to do that, so it would help as the chakra was flowing threw his arms. finally it reached the same point as before, but he had a feeling and started to push his chakra into his hands.
Success came as he feel his chakra was entering the palms of his hands, making them feel slightly off. Was this a normal reaction? only time would tell. the palms of his hands started to stop feeling funny and started to return to normal, this was a good sign. But after a while of waiting, it came back again only to disappear entirely. The young medic tested something about his chakra as he stopped, restarting it again to see if he could feel the weird sences in his palms. thankfully it didn't return, this pleased him as he now knew he was use to the chakra in his palms.
Feeling the chakra inside his arms, it felt like it was building slowly. but with no place to go, he decided it was time to try for the finger tips. The young boy seemed to be enjoying the feeling of chakra in his arms, like he was wearing long gloves. Maybe he needed such a thing, it would help him out greatly with his training. Thinking back at his training before the academy, he always wore gloves in case of problems. It was a good thing he knew were he could get some, but Shinra was starting to realize something. The chakra was slowly crawling up his fingers, it was too slow for him and his needed.
But instead of pressing the matter, he took a moment and stop it. He needed to think about it clearly, Medical shinobi had near perfect chakra control. but if he was going to push it, he would hurt himself. so he was going to calm down and relax, letting the chakra go at it's own pace. Sighing and laying back to relax, Shinra felt very comfortable sitting here. not because it was in a chair or the clean air, but because he was use to this form of training. Shinra nodded and sighed again, it was a good thing he was a medic... his health mattered.
Relaxing with the chakra in the plan in his hands, he started to think and let his thoughts wonder. it was clear that this was going to take awhile, because it was still channeling it threw his entire hands. His fingers were not really covered, But he had a good feeling that it was going to happen next time. Taking that into consideration, Shinra opened his eyes to stare at the roof as he moved his hands. He was trying to swirl the chakra in his palms and was trying, sadly success was not there for him yet. instead he was going to focus on his hands, if he would bring it up... he could start molding jutsus better.
Feeling the chakra sturring in his hands, he looked down at them to realize what had happened. His hands were now ready to cast a jutsu, it was a great time... but only a stepping stone on a long road to becoming what he wanted. Nodding to himself, Shinra started to improve the flow of chakra slightly. The flow was very slow and wasteful, he needed to refine it and improve it. he needed it to be faster and more pin point, so Shinra began his training to mold. this was going to be a hard one, but he was hoping for good results soon.
