[Nick :: Atlantis :: Outside Throne Room]

"Well, well, welly well well, looky what we've got, Alice." Nick cackled with delight, glancing back only once at the sealed doors and the seal that resided over it. He exhaled sharply through his nose, then turned back to the group. He extended each finger slowly, the joints making a sharp pop as he unfurled each one.

Chaos, how powerful would you say that seal is on the door? Would they be able to break it?

Not likely, no. You wouldn't be able to break it, either. I, however, could if I was in contro-

Aaaaand the conversation stops here. Nick interrupted, pausing a moment before adding in, You will not get control of my body that easily, you overglorified windmill.

The dark knight smiled, reaching for his sword with one hand while extending his left hand out, palm open. "Alice, since I am a proper gentleman, I will let you pick whoever you want to play with. I can share my toys."

For now.

(( I apologize for the crappy post, but my head hurts and work has left me with little creativity. I'll try to come up with a better post tomorrow. ))

[Kyla: Atlantis: Throne Room]

Kyla watched very closely, burned it into her minds eye as deep as she could put it. Even fi she could not relay this to her allies now- if she lived, she’d do it later; The sight of the veins spreading up his arm no doubt. The transition of his eye color from golden to violet.

It seemed Ajora wasn’t expecting whatever was happening to him from that look on his face. His calculative expression pleased her. It proved something she had been hoping to figure out.

‘- A darkness I can’t control. And I suppose he can? He’s certainly a hypocrite.’

The way he shook his head like a mental patience having an episode was telling as well. Word by word that dropped from Ajora slips was a small introduction to just how the replica felt and what he just might really want from them.
But by now he wanted her to answer. After a thoughtful pause she gave him one.

“Honestly the speed of the consumption of our world into darkness didn’t surprise me at all. As beautiful as it is, that’s just how instinctively evil it can be underneath. I don’t doubt there was a massive force behind it, but I don’t think it required much of its own strength t do what it did. Earth was saturated in its own corruptive fluid; just one strike to a match was bound to make it go up like a roman candle. “
Her eyes left his to stare at the hands of the creature who held her fate in his control- or did he?

“…why indeed? By all accounts I should be dead. I had no right to live even before this event. You say I committed suicide by coming here- but maybe all I just wanted was to find the answer to that very same question you ask.”
She felt Carbuncle stir just barely beyond the veil of the sapped magical energy.

“ What force keeps getting in the way? You should kill me- instead of struggling with some those inner demons of yours. It would be easy wouldn’t it? Natural, the logic of the universe dictates that the weak shall fall beneath the strong, so what is staying your hand? Could it be you don’t like being the puppet of chance? Just who are you arguing with in there, Ajora? You seem to be having some difficulty. You’re so interested, focused on that anomaly in fate too. Do you think if you wait long enough- when we can pose a good enough threat you’ll get your answer?”

One way or another, Kyla would get her own answer at least. Was she a fluke, or destined for something else? What claim did she have to life that she was here. She was hoping Ajora would answer that or give her some clue.

[[??? : Atlantis : Within Kyla]]

[[Cue: Dark's Innocence by Aion]]

The presence shifted uncomfortably as the situation progressed, finding it difficult to restrain itself and not let lose the entirety of its wrath upon the overpowered replica. Yet, after a moment, it receded, as if lounging back in the recesses of the girl's heart and just watching.

The force seemed to muse at the situation now, showing more curiosity in both individuals involved in the conversation as time went on, "You surprise me," it spoke to the girl, directly into her mind, with a casual familiarity that would almost tickle her memory as though she should recognize the presence, but it were too diluted that no matter how much she attempted to recall it, it escaped her, tugged just out of her grasp, "At first, I thought you were a naive little girl... perhaps you still are, but at least you're a curious one... willing to reach beyond your meager capabilities and strive for more."

The presence went quiet as Ajora ranted further, driving the replica's point home. In her minds eye, she could see a figure leaning back in an invisible chair set in the endless darkness that resided there, reclined with a glass of wine in its hand, now pleasantly enjoying the situation and conversation far more that it should, as thought it were little more than attending a dinner party and enjoying polite conversation with a close friend or colleague, dismissing the previous tension almost instantly, "Perhaps you've made a mistake, but in taking that risk you had the potential to gain information, information that is power... as the cliche goes... and in this case, you've gained me, an offer of tremendous power unattainable by any of those too cowardly to reach out and grab it."

"However..." it held its comments as she replied before continuing to intrude on the girl's thoughts, "I must admit, his points hold true as well. You were chosen by something to survive. Seems he wants to know what... or perhaps closer to MY question... being, why?"

The voice drifted off now, more on a tangent than any actual relevance to the fragile situation at hand, "It spikes my curiosity to know what exactly drives him. Even after all this time trying to discern Ajora's desire or compelling force, it still eludes me. Perhaps the reason he lets you live, and does anything he does, is to find the reason behind it all? The WHY to everything that's happened. Maybe even give reason for his existence. If so... I've misjudged him entirely... and it explains everything he's done so far and his mercy on you. If he questions everything and seeks understanding... it would make sense to let those he has been destined since the moment of his 'birth' to fight, live. If he killed you all off before giving you time, he might lose his chance to find that answer. But why would a replica have any desire at all that isn't outwardly or self-destructive? He's nothing but darkness. If that's the case, his development has grown far beyond that of my original or even my later modified opinions on the replicas. To think they might even be able to develop into entirely different beings from their originals. Modified mental processes, varying experiences, and so on create beings that are not just a foundation comprised entirely of the dark memories of you... but just as capable of growing beyond that. In theory, if these observations are correct, a replica could grow past its original stages of creation and evolve into someone greater than the original entirely... no longer static in development due to their beings built upon a structure and frame of PURE darkness. But... that would require testing... wait, is that what this is about? Damn it, both make perfect sense given the evidence. Maybe both are correct and he desires both of these things... neither match what I previously thought the replicas were even capable of... but to think Ajora may be seeking an answer to either is... amazing... inspiring... frightening even. If the replicas obtain the capability to grow beyond their current state, it will no longer be a game of catch up for you, but a limitless spiral to an ultimate conclusion judged at an unforeseeable peek ending only with the ultimate conclusion drawn by death. But given the current level of destruction wrought by the replicas' and your encounters, such a conflict, just getting to that end, would bring about collateral damage that in one word could only be described as catastrophic. I can only guess that the chaos in the wake of such a conflict would throw all sense of control of any situation out the window, and once that's gone, you reach a state of pure anarchy and chaos. It'd be survival of the fittest for everyone lucky, or perhaps unlucky enough to survive."

[Daniel :: Atlantis :: Throne Room]

The antics of the rogue transporter had Daniel on edge. There were now two opponents of great battle potential locked in combat, even if for a brief moment. He was not about to warrant their attention. The girl came out swinging, touting savage daggers all ready to draw Ajora's blood. She wore an intricate gothic ensemble that caught his eye; not only for the difference from the brightly colored girl a moment ago, but also for its lovely artistic quality. Daniel craned his head to get a better view-- of the fight, obviously.

Look~! They are focused on each other-- Now's your time to strike~!

Daniel watched the proceedings carefully, noticing with mild annoyance how Ajora fazed around the impressive attack. One detail, however, stood out to the Turk above the rest as Ajora slammed the would-be attacker to the wall.

No... No that's not going to happen. He used the trident to control her-- pointed it right at her. Earlier he used his hand...

Images of his fellow mercenaries parted from their own hearts made him internally wince. Instead Daniel focused on how Ajora had done the deed; how the trident glowed and then so did his hands. More specifically the gem on his hand. He could not see a gem on the other side but he could assume a man like Ajora appreciated symmetry. And more power.

Think he could be channeling the trident? I remember the king and Ursula pointing the trident at things in the movie. And here he is pointing at her. He doesn't do that all the time.

So you think he could stop both of you from different angles?

The writhing, painfully distorted figure of the girl interrupted his thoughts, nearly making him sick. This was crossing that line just like with his merc team, and he wanted so badly to yell, do something to get him to stop. Instead Daniel held his ground across the gaping hole and watched.

"When will you maggots start working as a God-@#$í team?!"

What?

Is he talking to you now?

As if nothing happened the dagger-wielder responded, sending chills up Daniel's spine. She babbled on about team dynamics, Ajora's antics which interested Daniel to no end, and her similar attraction to the white suited man.

She's just a wealth of information isn't she~?

He nodded by accident right when she looked him in the eye, and put on his best poker face.

Woops.

Always the charmer~

Thats not... DUDE, shut up. I would much sooner charm a rattlesnake than these loons.

There was never a moment where Zodiark refrained from provoking Daniel. It was in the scion's nature, he assumed, to poke and prod every little thing that peeked his curiosity. Unfortunately, Zodiark chose him as his tour guide.

The bladed girl continued, “–If you want me to explain my actions personally: I’m hitting one of those walls we artists tend to hate. It’s mundane....”

Daniel's ears perked up. :: Artist?

Noooow you are interested~~?

Shut up...

Ajora's speech was a pleasant interruption, “You just don't get it, by every right I should kill you. You, who have more than once erred into my hands. I want to kill you. You have no right to life. Only those most fit to survive do so, and you have essentially attempted suicide. But I won't."

If Zodiark was visible both his and Daniel's head would be cocked to the side in unison, trying to process what the lunatic was trying to say.

Soooo he's got a thing for Earthlings?

SHHH~ I don't think he's done.

Ajora continued, "I have been a menace since my creation. I have killed, I have tortured, I have wrought destruction everywhere I go,"

Well, he's not lying as far as I can tell~~

"But besides Rachel, I have not killed an Earthling. I have done everything I can to unite you idiots against me, but still you splinter."

The Turk paused, particularly at the word “unite”. For a brief moment he reviewed the scene before realizing the possibility. :: Oh crap... I don't think he want's to recruit me for his team, I think he wants me on the opposing team.

Zodiark laughed :: And how does that makes sense?

.. I honestly don't know.

"You're right about one thing, Kyla--”

Kyla...

“There's more to this story. So, so much more. But first, let me ask the basic questions. For instance--how long after the first Heartless sighting did Earth, a world exponentially larger than any other in this universe, fall? Minutes, Kyla. Mere. Minutes."

He had to admit that he never really thought about that. In the games the heartless slowly conquered rooms, at MOST. The heartless' decent upon Earth was the most thorough assault Daniel had ever seen, putting to shame all of the militarys in the history of his former planet. It was more like the change of the seasons; today its a bright, hot, and sunny summer--- The next its The End.

"Did you never question that? What power some force would have to hold just to do that? And then, throughout it all, out of over seven billion people, only a very, very select few are chosen to live. Chosen, Kyla. Perhaps not by a Keyblade, but chosen by some mysterious forces all the same. Why? In the shadow of such power, why were you lot chosen?"

The Turk stepped forward, an audible crunch beneath his feet. This man knew something-- something that Daniel had been searching for, and all of the facades that he put up melted for just a moment as he hung on a breath. However, Kyla's responses made him cringe in frustration. Not only did she have zero information about the destruction of Earth, the witch steered the topic away from the all important questions in favor of … woe-is-me drama. He was beginning to see why Ajora did not approve of her decision making.

Daniel knew that Ajora would not spill this sort of information easily. He hadn't; Ajora did everything by the book in their little game earlier at the cave entrance. The one thing that seemed to unleash the floodgates was to get him angry, Something Daniel did not want to stop nor be on the receiving end of. Once again, he waited quietly. If this man really did know something it was now or never.

[ Ajora ; Kida ; King : Atlantis : Throne Room ]

Her nonchalance about the fall of Earth baffled him. He literally quirked his head to the side with a raised brow, and if an expression could speak, it would have very loudly said 'are you mental?' The expression slowly faded as she continued to talk, but not because he understood--simply because he didn't feel like holding that expression the whole time.

There were many things he wanted to say. Many remarks he wanted to make, many insults he wanted to throw--but first, he slowly let her down and removed the aura closing in on her. She might have wondered why, but he gave no explanation; the Trident and his hands glowed a soft golden aura.

"You misread me, girl," he said, shaking his head as he walked a short distance away, his back to both her and Daniel.

.:Kill her.:.

"I revel in Darwinism. Were it not for the purpose you so apathetically bear, I wouldn't have given you a second to breathe when I found you because your stupidity deserves nothing short of purging," he told her, turning to face them, sneering with narrowed eyes. "But you do bear a purpose. All of you. But it seems like you simply don't care."

.:The Darkness calls for her execution, Ajora. You will obey.:.

"So, I sought out answers. The force that destroyed Earth is greater than anything you could possibly fathom without experiencing it firsthand," he explained. The black veins were now slowly crawling up his neck, but were not quite to his chin. The Flood Unversed were beginning to act more aggressively, darting closer and closer but never quite within striking range. Even the shadows writhed, reaching further than they should. His voice began to grow in volume. "I have seen what lies beyond the furthest ring. I have felt the despair, the rage, the hunger lying in wait. I have touched the Heart of Darkness, and I came away with fear."

.:You go too far, wretch. I will not standby as you cross them.:.

I am done with you.

A sudden pulse of Darkness erupted from Ajora, passing through everyone harmlessly enough but leaving a cold chill. With the pulse, his suit jacket and top were shredded as two large, white wings spread from his now-bare shoulders, the lower feathers dripping blood. The Unversed retreated, shrinking into the shadows. The veins on his body began slowly to recede.

However, the sheer pressure of his power was now present in the room. The writhing shadows felt alive, and the negative energy of his existence was practically tangible. Both Kyla and Daniel's skin would immediately be covered with goosebumps, the hairs on the back of their neck standing up. It was an instinctive fear that they would feel, not a conscious one, like staring into the eyes of a beast that could kill them, even if they knew it wouldn't.

"What demons I have, what goals I may wish to accomplish--they mean nothing under the gaze of the coming storm, a storm that cannot be stopped--" he said, pausing to glare at her with tired golden eyes. "--unless you fools rise to the challenge. This corruption would rend everything: the worlds, the Light, Kingdom Hearts--life and death itself would be consumed and undone."

"I leave you alive because it demands your death. Whatever reason you were saved is the same reason the Darkness will stop at nothing to erase you," he explained, sighing now, his rage dying away. The veins were all but gone now, shrinking into his palms. The only visible markings on him now were the two Command Seals on his upper arms and the one on his back, away from view. "And so I will wreak havoc, and you will hunt me. I will reach for power, and you will rally and unite. Make no mistake, if I find any of you lacking as Rachel was, if I feel the powers that be made a mistake, I will kill again. If you can't stop me, then you won't stand a chance."

[[For the record, he said 'misread' present tense, as in mis-reed. Also, due to Boss Mode being engaged, Ajora is currently roughly level 9-10.]]

[ Yuffie ; Seymour : Atlantica : Throne Room ]

"Yikes!" Yuffie shouted, reappearing in a puff of smoke in a different location, having used the move to dodge another Dark Firaga. "These things are tough!"

"They're not ordinary Heartless, to be sure," Seymour muttered, throwing a spell of his own to intercept another Dark Firaga.

They were currently alone in the Throne Room, guarding the entrance to the Siren Room from two strange Heartless. Seymour was rather impressed with them, actually--beautiful creations by Ajora, to be sure. However, he could not take the time to admire them now, as they were on the offensive, and actually doing a rather good job of it.

"How much longer do you think that battle's gonna take?" Yuffie asked, tossing her shuriken at the winged soldier, who nimbly dodged it before throwing his spear her way, forcing her to do the same.

"It should be ending soon," he mused, taking a moment to gaze out onto the battlefield--a large twister was beginning to form in the distance. Large enough to be seen from the castle. It was surrounded by odd pillars of light. "Very soon, by the looks of things. I believe they're cleaning up."

[ Kyle : Atlantica : Battlegrounds ]

With Sora reaching the King, Kyle put more of his focus onto what he was doing. The twisting force he was causing was certainly pulling in some of the enemies, destroying them rather decisively, but those on the outer rim were still untouched.

"Jenny, Siren, do you have anything to directly boost physical strength?" he asked over the charms. In the meantime, he had a couple more tricks to pull--if either of the songstresses had a buff, it would likely be the final touch.

.:Kyle, this Darkness--are you sure you don't want to get rid of it?:.

We'll see how things go.

With a grunt, Kyle activated Virgo's Valor--sending half of his magic strength directly into his physical being, which caused considerably more strain than he'd anticipated. However, the sudden burst of strength also caused a spike in the twister's pull, causing it to grow, easily visible from the castle.

If any allies were anywhere near the center line, they would begin to feel a slight pull of the water currents toward the whirlpool. Geists and Heartless were pulled in and shredded by the dozen, with the Ice Spirit sapping their energy faster than they could possibly defend.

[[ List of Current Boosts: Ice Spirit (Bobbi), Hastega (Jenny), Regen (Siren), Double Dipping (KyleM), Barbs (Drive [NoePlant]), Harmattan (Joe), Wall and Flight of Blades (Kyla), Dark Boost (First Specter), Adrenaline (Mathy), Elemental Fury (Drive [JoeWind]), Water Skis (Dani), Faithga (Drive), Braveja (Drive), Virgo's Valor

Kyle's current stats:

PS : 96 [ ( 6 + 1 (N) + 2 (J) + 1 (M) + 4 (KyleM+Noe) + 4 (NoePlant) + 4 (JoeArmor) + 15 (VV) ) x3 (Braveja) ]
PR : 27 [ ( 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 4 (Kyla Wall) ) x3 (Braveja) ]
MS : 15 [ ( 10 + 2 + 1 + 2 (LS) ) x2 (F) - 15 (VV) ]
MR : 22 [ ( 5 + 1 + 1 + 4 (Kyla Wall) ) x2 (F) ]
AS : 28 [ ( 7 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 (Mathy) - 2 (KyleM) + 4 (JoeWind) ) x2 (Hastega) ]
ER : 14 [ 10 + 2 + 1 + 1 ]
OS : 30 [ (5 + 1 + 2 + 1 +2 (Dani) + 4 (JoeWind)) x2 (Hastega) ]
END: 14 [ 10 + 2 + 1 + 1 ]
ENG: 10 [ 8+ 1 + 1 ]

Honestly just wasting time at this point so people will get to the castle... *coughs*]]

{Kyle; Valmar : Gettin' the hell out of dodge Retreating to the Castle/ Going to take a nap}

Kyle watched in awe as Other-KylenowNoelleandJoetoo went off to do his/their thing. It was amazing. He was just destroying everything like it was nothing. Magic is pretty awesome. We've got this. Well, he/it has got this. When the Drive Kyle sent over to get back to the castle, he decided to ignore it and watch for a bit longer. He'd never seen a twister come to life in front of him. But when he started to feel the pull, he decided maybe it was time to listen to the kernel of wisdom. He swam off towards the castle, looking back, still pretty overwhelmed.

His rampage was over before it began it seemed. DM was frozen, caught by pillars of light. He wanted to rage and destroy, but that didn't seem like it was going to happen anymore. Whatever. He was done with this battle. He recalled DM, then swam back into a mountain, planning to curl up and take a nap for a bit. He couldn't take the little dragon p***k, and he wasn't going to cross that distance for another shot at his original. He would keep.

{Bobbi .:. Atlantica .:. Battlefield >> Castle}

The retreat seemed to be going well; most of the army was back at the Castle, and Bobbi had stayed in her range above the field to keep an eye on any stragglers. Like Ohio!Kyle.

He was from Ohio, right?

Being ranged, it makes sense for me to take rear guard, right? she thought, biting her lip as she scanned the battlefield and the tornado that was the Kyle-Joe-Noelle Drive.

~:Follow orders, child,:~ Shiva advised. ~:Kyle has the rest of the battle well in hand, and with Joe and Noelle as part of his Drive, they'll keep him in check.:~

"I just wish I knew what had happened back there," Bobbi muttered as she turned tail and swam back to join her friends. "Where did that surge of darkness come from? God, it was like being broken again..."

She passed a hand over her face, pushing her glasses up to pinch the bridge of her nose. She was still shaken from that experience, and planned to have a chat with Kyle about it when things cooled off a little. Was that surge something he knew was going to happen, or what? She didn't believe it was coincidence, not with so many enemies looking to undermine or destroy them.

{Demyx .:. Black Pearl .:. Crow's Nest}

Demyx watched the Corsair guy totally ignore the exit that the Melodious Nocturne had tried to make for him. As the other dude started throwing punches and going into a Berserker Raeg, Demyx threw up his hands and groaned.

"You try to do somethin' nice and the whole world ignores you," he complained, then sat with a huff, crossed his arms, and leaned against the wall of the crow's nest. "Whelp, can't say I didn't try. It's up to them now."

He stubbornly stayed where he was, listening to the sounds of battle. As he sat, he thought hard about what Ajora and Kyla had been saying. It was certainly some heavy thinking, and he eventually gave that up as a bad job, ran his hands through his hair a few times, and pretended to sulk, just in case someone came looking for him.

[Maria ~ Kefka’s Tower ~ Maria’s Study]

The fae was bent over her study table, staring into the Enchanted Mirror. The Geists sent to the battle in Atlantica were effective, but not enough. She’d have to boost the Djins and Kinetics, possibly the Shades. The Grimms were strong, just no match for the triple Earthling drive. Maria hummed slightly, drumming her fingers on her chin. It was time to test a few more. She murmured to the mirror, commanding it to look into the fight above water. Meanwhile, a dark portal opened up in her study, and several Geists of three varieties came to the room.

“Prove your worth,” Maria smirked, lacing her fingers together, “Survivors return, your data is valuable.”

Without needing further instruction, the Geists moved toward the portal and stepped through it. Within seconds they were flooding out the other side onto the Dutchman, and Pearl, wasting no time before attacking.

((The three varieties of Geists are as follows: Banshees, Apparitions, and Shadows.
Banshees: Non-shapeshifting type Geists, phase capable, moderate strength (difficult to kill), moderate speed, low agility. Banshees attack through screeching. Sound Wave attacks, most common attacks, can cause physical blunt force damage. Howl attacks, occurring somewhat infrequently, cause status ailments-- Stun, about 50% of the time; Confusion, about 25% of the time; Fear, about 5% of the time (i.e. Stun happens half the time, Confusion a quarter of the time, and Fear very rarely). The equation system, as with the Grimms, is not necessary. However, abuse of this freedom will not be tolerated.

Apparitions: Shapeshifting type Geists, not phase capable, low strength (easy to kill), high speed and agility. Apparitions can disappear for short intervals of time, approximately 30 seconds. Most common shapeshift weapons are blades.

Shadows: Shapeshifting type Geists, not phase capable, low strength, low speed, low agility. Shadows can duplicate memories and create up to 20 “clones” of itself rapidly. Only the original Shadow is capable of creating clones, and once all 20 are created is unable of creating more. Kill the original Shadow and the others will die as well. The strength of the Shadow lies in numbers.

I don’t plan on controlling these Geists once they are engaged, but if requested I can help someone with a fight.))

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Below deck]

Dawn danced, keeping her Bravery effect up for her allies on the ship. As Garuda, above deck helped to provide support for the pirates as they fought. It wasn't long before the Geists appeared on the ship and started attacking.

Garuda flew up high towards where Demyx was hiding, ~Great this is not good. Keep your wits about you.~ she said as she readied herself to attack also sending the message to Dawn as well.

'Uh right...' Dawn replied to her summon as she continued her dance. Moments later she saw movement in the corner of her eye. She turned to see what was there, as she continued the movement of her dance, surrounding herself with her Aero to protect herself from anything did hit her would get some sort of damage on contact. However, she was still a sitting duck for any incoming attack. If she stopped to defend herself, the spell she was holding up would go down.

'Crap,' She said over the charms to her allies.

[Kyla: Atlantis: Throne Room]

This entire stunt was a very risky act, she knew that, but it was worth it in a very distinct way that mattered.
Before Kyla could take one more step she had to know something about why they were even here...Lightning may strike the same place twice but three times? Her life was no lightning rod. Just a simple uninteresting patch of earth, one of many, there were no traces of metal to guide the bolt to strike her and yet it had. She was here, in this world, in this place, wielding powers limited only by her imagination- and for what?
Why was she so special?
Could it have easily been someone else?

The only way to be sure was to tempt fate. To stare the beast in the eye and see if it would finally eat her. If she was lucky enough-
no!
Maybe that's the problem. Maybe luck had nothing to with this after all.

He claimed she had misread him.
Maybe, or perhaps it was better to say the least likely thing-( by order of elimination)- and make the enemy say the correct answer.
Boy was it an answer.

Her suspicions were confirmed as he gently lowered her to the ground and released the pressured aura. She did not doubt that any false move would throw things back to square one- so she stood there quietly and listened.
’Darwinism huh? Interesting. Yet it makes sense- for him that is. Should I be worried I find his faith in us flattering? Apparently she should. Everything Ajora said after that painted a picture of the enemy she had been breading this whole time. Something huge- powerful, and dangerous enough to make the pompous scheme shake in his boots

‘ Funny… somehow I feel like I’d be disappointed if it didn’t.

This depiction fit the profile better: An ultimate force of pure malevolent evil that wanted nothing more than to erase them out of existence. It was something that justified the reason for their salvation from the destruction of their own world.
And for no other reason that sheer Darwinism- Ajora wanted them alive to see who would win?

As the pressure of his power filled the room and made her limbs quake by just being under that tricolor gaze, Kyla couldn’t help but marvel at him.
“How come the most majestic things end up being so twisted?” she mused, tilting her head to one side.

“You’re like some angel of sheer chance come to test us. Boldly taking a religious form only to be an entity bent on proving the laws of superior survival- so unbiased,… how perfectly paradoxical.”

“You speak of – powers that be- yet pioneer the concept Darwinism. And just who would those powers anyway - A strange Sentient Being of Chance native to this world perhaps. Did it chose us the lowly few, on a whim to survive the earth’s own apocalypse, just so that we can but heads with the ultimate evil?”

She giggled. God help her she actually smiled and shook her head a little.
‘ this was insane. Was this an act of God, or some other god or just pure dumb luck? Survival of the fittest and we are to run that final mile to the ultimate end and see whose left?

Kyla crossed her arms over her chest. “ Well all right then.” The artist stared at the replica for a good long minute, her eyes never wavering under his tricolored gaze. She burned what he looked like now into her minds memory. Though the pictomancer couldn’t draw this in her records yet- she’d do it later.
Remember, remember everything.

The hue of those colors, the blood off his wings, the command seals on his upper arms- everything. She refused to miss one single detail. Such a terrible yet undeniably lovely sight. Kyla could be afraid and yet appreciate something like this at the same time.
…and she was alive.

I finally have my answer. The lion let her go. Not because he wasn't hungry- he just chose to. Thank you Ajora. I'll keeping trying.

((Sorry for the extreme delay in posting crying ))

[Jenny :: Atlantica :: Throne Room]

Heading down... alone?

That was the first thought that passed through Jenny's head as Kyla sent her the message. Her brows furrowed in a frown, trying to keep track of the pictomancer's heartsong as she drifted further and further away. Bad things happened when they split up? Didn't they learn that in Agrabah? And countless times after? But Agrabah was the time Maggie nearly died, and Noelle had her run in with Hades, and ohhhh, too many bad things happened when people ventured off alone. How am I supposed to protect her when Im rooted down to this place? ... I need to watch over the others too...

She strained her ears, trying not to lose the song, as if physically straining her hearing would help her with songs in her mind... maybe it would. She could hear fluctuations in the music and Jenny closed her eyes, trying to focus on the sound. so much so, she almost missed Kyle's message.

"Oh yes, of course..." came the belated response as soon Siren erupted into song, casting Valor on Kyle per his request.

Let us hope that artist is alright...

She's strong. Maybe I just have too little faith in her. But I rather be safe than sorry...

[Alice :: Atlantis :: Outside Throne Room]

Alice lifted her eyebrows in amusement as her gaze flickered over to Nicholas before she settled her eyes on her bunny as it playfully drifted around her. She placed a slender finger on her cheek, gauging the situation before her lips curled up in a sly smile.

"Hmm... quite the gentleman, but who said I would share~?" Dangerous auburn eyes peered through a dark curtain of hair as a toxic haze began to emanate from her being. In that moment, it seemed that she would poison them all without even needing to unwind her gloves. But then her sinister smile faded and the venomous vapor vanished as Alice gave a delicate shrug.

"I don't really have an interest in playing with toys that don't fight back."

{Demyx .:. Black Pearl .:. Crow's Nest}

"Shhh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shhhh!!!" Demyx hissed as Garuda spoke to him, waving his arms in frantic shushing gestures. "You'll give me away if you're not careful, birdy!" He stayed where he was, hunkered down in the Crow's Nest where it wasn't likely he'd be spotted. How Garuda knew he was up here, he'd probably never know. Unless he'd made his position that obvious when he was flinging around his Geysers.

He pushed himself up just enough to peer over the side of the nest, and saw what Garuda was talking about. There were an awful lot of weird ghosty things on the ship. He blasted a few of them with more Geysers, the ones that were shrieking at everything. The sounds grated on his nerves, and even though he was out of range, he figured it was a good idea to shut them up.

"Can't you people take care of yourselves for once?!" he whined.
