EXPLORATION TYME! FIGHT TYME! WOOT! What does one normally do when they’re wandering down a dark tunnel, by themselves (or with a single pokemon, depending on how you are answering this prompt), and with a very faint light source?
Scream for help? Run back to the entrance like a little girl? Grit your teeth and bare it? Try to act brave for the sake of your pokemon while wondering what might be hiding in the shadows around you? Dash forward with the plot of sending Team Rocket blasting off again?
You ponder one or two of these options (or all five if you so wish) while you wander down a dark tunnel branched off from the room the group had found earlier while trekking through the mines. You all would have gone as a group, but the tunnels are small, big enough for only one human (or one human and a single pokemon). That’s when Luna, Jen and the rest of the group make the decision to split up, despite how much easier it would to face the rockets as a whole group. But…maybe the tunnel will lead you all back together? Hopefully….
In the meantime, as you wander with a crystal plucked from the walls or a pokemon using Flash as your light source, you hear loud roars along with screams and yells before silence falls upon your tunnel once again. Scared? Or determined to find out what the source is? Either way, when you hit the end of the tunnel, you find a large room with a nice big surprise in the center.
Scattered around the edges of the room are a mass amount of groaning Rocket grunts, each one looking like they had seen better days. Wanna try to make it look like you had done this glorious job? Well…you gotta claim the credit first! A series of growls (two higher pitched and one much deeper and more menacing) sound out from behind you. Whipping around, you see two Cranidos and a large Rampardos glaring at you, fangs bared and snarling with pure malice. Oh shoot! The Rockets must have resurrected some fossils while everyone was digging last night! It didn’t look like these pokemon were gunna listen either! What option is left? Why, the best one a trainer can have! BATTLE!
Oh shoot, wait! You don’t have a pokemon! The only thing you have on ya is that Safari ball and whatever is in the cavern room with ya. Running aimlessly back through the tunnels ain’t an option, those pokemon are fast on their feet. The cave is sturdy, which prevent another cave-in from happening. Put that mind of yours to work!
If you have a pokemon, battle them! Show those pokemon who the top of the food-chain is!
If you already caught a pokemon on this trip: You wander aimlessly, never encountering any pokemon while looking for your companions. You can either hit a dead end and back-track through the tunnel to find another route or you can find one of your companions and roleplay with them until the time limit is up.
((Only people who have not caught any pogeys yet may participate! Three winners will be choosen. First place gets first pick, second gets second pick, and third gets whatever is left. Don't worry about holding out till the last pokemon, everyone who made it to this day can try for the last pokemon )) YOU HAVE ONE HOUR TO POST YOUR REPLY. PLEASE POST A POKEBALL WITH YOUR REPLY IF YOU ARE TRYING FOR THIS PROMPT.

"Wahhh... it's so dark in here..." Sunnie said, whining. She was not a big fan of dark, dismal places - sure, the crystals were pretty, but there was no light to enjoy them in. And worst of all, her two closest pokemon couldn't come in with her - Glace is still sleeping on the wagon outside, and Vitesse could not pass through. That leaves her newest Pokemon... Folle. "Well, I guess I'll just have to get to know ya... get out here!" She threw her pokeball out, and in a blazing flash of light that lit up the mine for just a second, out came the shiny girafarig.
Folle looked around, a bit dazed from having rested in the pokeball for so long. "Huhwha... oh... that's my trainer... umm..." Not remembering quite how she got herself captured, she quietly followed along besides Sunnie. "Umm... where am I...? Are there any other girafarigs here...? Umm...." Not wanting to make a fuss, she kept close to her trainer and walked with her head down.

Kai grinned as she heard Lock, "Yes, I do enjoy boasting." She put emphasis on her last word in hopes of spiting him. "Besides, if you've got it, why not flaunt it?" She snickered, folding her hands behind her head as she walked ahead nonchalantly.

Liam followed the others quietly. Really, what was there to say? Some were trying to ease the tension via lighthearted comments and quiet conversation -- some of it was working too. He could feel a few of the others relaxing a bit, and automatically felt his own tension dissipate slightly as he moved. The only thing he could hope for was no fatalities. If they came out of this alive, that was all Liam needed to be content with this crazy quest.

MidnyghtIce ((xD yeah, I edited that post to reflect your post, but I posted too late for you to see xDDD)) Nyght nodded, contemplating the strength of team rocket, "Yeah, I bet that most people run into their new grunts, who are easy, but the higher up are hard...." Nyght gulped a bit, trying not to disturb the ghastly on her head, but obviously quite nervous, "I hope we don't run into any of the boss rockets.... But you'll protect us right Dreydonna?" Nyght tried to look up at the orb hovering on her head, but that was tricky without moving.
Anakin felt the need to assert that he would fight too, and he wiggled a bit and cried, "Skit Skit!" in Nyght's arms, "All right buddy, you can fight too!"
Nice weather..? "Ah, I didn't notice there was weather in caves." Nyght had to giggle a bit at that... "Ghaaasss!" Dreydonna said smugly, now on Renekai's head. She would fight, and win!
Renekai blushed, realizing too late how dumb her comment had sounded. "Well... In caves, the weather could change," she gabbled, embarrassed. "It could be... dark... or, cave in, or... or, or something!" Renekai was flustered, which made Dreydonna cackle. "Oh, alright, I'm just nervous, alright?" Renekai said, mortified. She blushed some more and concentrated on walking on the uneven surface of the cave floor. Dreydonna seemed quite happy in the semi-darkness and confusion.

"I-I'm not scared!" she said defensively, crossing her arms across her chest and pushing her shoulders back. It might've proved her point if she hadn't tripped on a rock just then.
"Ah, ah, ah, ah!" Riza said in a rush, managing to catch her balance before falling. Just pretend it didn't happen. No one saw that, she told herself.
"F-Fifteen?! Holy miltank!" That was a lot of battles! Riza's awe was interrupted by Lock's comment, which made her start laughing.
Kai's retort made her face split into a wide grin, and she laughed, "You two get along well!"

Meeka's face went blank. P-pokemon already?! Plus, they were angered! Meeka was ready to dash outta there, but Ebba held her back. There could be Pokemon by the entrance. Or worse! "Stant Stant!" he said. He was ready to at least weaken the Rampardous, the largest one, to make things easier. Meeka held him back. "Watch it for now." she said.

Lock laughed as he heard both Kai and Riza. "Yeah, you go it, I have seen it, but you do not flaunt it. Its a shame, love."

Oh. There was another person from his wagon, the only other male as far as he could tell. Well, besides Kazuki, anyway, and he’d only joined Wagon One later in the trip. Smiling despite the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, Alastair waved back to… Carter, right?
“Yeah, I suppose we are lucky. We get to go kick some Rocket a**. Congrats to you too, Carter.” Alastair briefly chafed his arms. It wasn’t exactly cold down here, but he was pretty sure it would get a helluva lot colder once they got deeper into the caves. At least he had a houndoom to hug… or, he would if Con allowed him. “Do you think the barrier was Team Rocket’s doing?”
~.~
Con perked up slightly when he smelled a familiar scent: Ryou. He would have known that smell even if he took a swim in onion soup and then stuck his head in a bucket. It was easy to make out the umbreon’s glowing rings in the darkness and, besides… Con was making an attempt to walk in the light caused by the flash. What? Like I would leave you alone with these idiots? Pfft… don’t make me laugh, Ryou. I wouldn’t trust these idiots to make soup properly, let alone keep you out of trouble. Someone has to do it.
It was obvious that Con was every bit as anxious as the umbreon; the houndoom’s fur was slightly raised, a ridge of fur on his back.

((To clarify the prompt post: To everyone: The group finds a large room with several branching off tunnels. We all split up so only one person per tunnel! >o
To Those answering the prompt: You guys find and fight the pokemon! You each are still by yerselves! So battle them!
To those who caught a pokemon: Wander aimlessly! You got lost or met up with a dead end in your tunnel! You can meet up with those who also caught a pokemon already and roleplay with them. ))

Kris yawned as she walked through the cave, still dazed from sleep. She hummed lightly to herself staring around her. This was amazing! She was so glad that she had gotten picked.
She glanced behind her to Paix, who seemed uncomfortable. She frowned. "Oh, Paix, I'm sorry!" Paix had to bend over and he couldn't unfurl his wings at all. He crowed at her-Kris was sure it was meant to be reassuring, but instead it came out slightly weary. She stopped in her tracks and turned on her heel to meet Paix. She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him. "Are you holding up okay, though?"
Paix crowed at her and nodded. Kris smiled. "That's my boy!"

Fluo walked alongside Alphaville in a tight fitting tunnel. The other two pokemon weren't too fond of strenuous activities. Alphaville decided to forgo the stilt-like limbs and instead drifted to avoid the pitfalls of an uneven terrain. Fluo did some deep breathing exercises to delay the hysteria that was bubbling up. She just wasn't good with mines or enclosed spaces. She had a terrible sense of direction and always ended up lost. What if she were to spend her dying days trapped in this mine, forever wandering, losing her mind as Alphaville ate her dreams to save himself. Oh the horror, the funky horror!

((Just out of curiosity, are these the last pokemon left? D= Because I don't care for these pokemon that much though their colors are pretty, and I already have a rock/ground pokemon...))
Lenne was startled by the random upset of the rock pokemon, though somehow Piper had expected it.
Noticing that they were Rockets before, Lenne tried to plead her case to call off the raging pokemon charging at her.
"Wait, stop! Call them off! I'm a Rocket too!" Lenne turned to show the grunts before her the small red R located on the bottom of her skirt.
"I swear it! Don't attack me!" Lenne hated large pokemon like these, they were way too powerful to control, or at least in her eyes and she ran to the opposite wall of the cave out of fear. Piper however, acting MUCH larger than she was, was prepared to fight the beasts before her.
