...you know, looking at that screencap reminds me that i used to play this game a little. i liked playing with the ice bird... the game said her learning curve was steep, but i was best using her over anyone else.

Her learning curve is pretty steep. Not too bad, but novice players sometimes have a hard time using her well.

You have to use your ultimate to set up the slow, then use the stun, and finish them while they're still chilled with the ice spike or whatever the ******** it was.

She's a damned potent champion. The reason why her learning curve's rated so high is her Ice Wall; bad players or mis-clicks can screw your whole team over rather than help.

I'm bored.

Someone entertain me and/or suggest a way for me to entertain myself.

Or just give me the DT rules, Vintrict. Give them to me now. >:{

The Time Wizard
Vintrict
Where's Hael. I need to some help fortifying Shen's tank build.

The problem I am having is Shen farming. He sucks at it unless someone is killing people for him (shadow dash assist), so it's tough to get gold fast enough. I think I need to learn to be defensive until I get to mid game, so I won't be losing the exp gain on the minions.

Next is my build. I go Regrowth Pendant -> Merchant's Boots -> Ruby Crystal -> then build toward armor or magic resist depending on the other team. I go for Spirit Visage then Force of Nature if it's magic, and go for Warden's to Thornmail if it's physical. The one thing I think Shen has trouble with in anything is having him attack someone. With his damage output, his passive sucks regardless. Plus, it's late game by the time I get to 3K HP, if I even make it. I used Leviathan several times, but it hasn't seemed to be effective. Thus, HP is the least priority.

Uuurgh, I just feel like something's off with Shen since I'm reaching more skilled players. Then again, my teams have been sucking a bit.
Haelstrom probably isn't the best to talk to about Shen. Sure, he knows the character well enough, but doesn't play him. I play him quite a bit.

The issue with Shen's farming is that he has no AoE at all. However, his passive gains damage with HP. That's why he's not a traditional "HUHR, YOU DO NO DAMAGE" tank. He's a "HAHAHA, LOOK, 6K HP BITCHES." kind of tank. Basically, Leviathan is a very, very, VERY good choice on Shen. Normally I wouldn't take it, but I take it on Shen almost every game.

Start with a ruby crystal. Upgrade to Leviathan. You're almost always bound to get assists if not kills with Shen, because putting a shield on someone using your ultimate gives you an assist if someone around them dies on the enemy team. After the leviathan get boots of some kind. I usually go swiftness unless the enemy team is CC crazy.

From there? I normally do something like.. Phage, ruby crystal, giant belt, regrowth, upgrade into Warmog. Then get another giant's belt and upgrade the phage into a frozen mallet. If the game is still going? Randuin's and then thornmail.

My main issue is stacking HP. If I can get a crazy amount, I know I can be a deadly Shen. Just getting that HP is the problem. But yeah, I'll go Leviathan early.

X: -gets slammed, uses an aoe attack to help the teammates, before leaving with ice wall... accidentally blocks off closest escape path-

rest of team: "goddamn it, birdy, stop feeding them!"

Yup. Oh, they did buff Anivia in a way though: now you can't Ghost through her Ice Wall. Meaning it ******** people over a lot nicer.

Funnest use for it's in the jungles though. You can literally block off whole teams.

Actually, Ecks, if you wish to pick it up, we're constantly using lower-leveled accounts to teach and play public games with. Helps us out because we get referral levels on the accounts we made to get the referral awards on our mains.

@Vin: Shen is reliant on stacks. Once you get closer to 30 and can afford a book with HP per level, armor per level, cool down reduction, and flat HP runes, you're going to do perfectly fine.

I can't see myself ever playing LoL again.

Mostly because I'd have to buy it, and I don't really want to buy something that I used to get for free when I have no money to spend and so many other things that I'd want to spend it on first.

...then again, I barely played the game much at all when it was the free beta anyway. Mostly I used the characters that were annoying rather than effective, like Teepo.
