what do you mean, "not allowed"? we were here during the 30k event when the person who scheduled the damned thing and made such a big fuss about it wasn't, and as it is right now it really feels like we've been left AGAIN. so get in that escape pod and get the ******** out. at this point, there's very little incentive for me to adhere to the rules of what i'm "allowed" or not allowed to do. i've been here for how long and have been bitching about the same damned thing. we get left like this for long stretches of time and as soon as they come back, we're at their every ******** whim?! i don't think so, not anymore. and if folks are complaining about it, well i guess they can always just ban me.

this is what's going to happen: they're going to come back, offer some whacked a** explanation why they had disappeared on us, and then make promises of what's to come. "wondrous" and "exciting" events that are coming up soon! oooh, but they can't tell their fellow moderators. they want us to do some leg work and help maintain the guild but they don't trust us to help them plan s**t. it's a surprise! when is it going to happen? it's a surprise! who's gonna die? it's a surprise! but they can't execute these "awesome" plans yet, so they need us to meander until they do. so we putter along, some more of this plot gets revealed and then they disappear for weeks again. the cycle continues.

this feels like being told to go outside and piss in a cup. in the dark. or pull my pants off and run backwards. in a cornfield.

heh, lemme guarantee you that 'tis all me. besides, instead of the "cornfield" analogy, Dante would have ended his rant with a plan for a hostile take over.

but i can see why people would be surprised. i usually try to take the politically-correct route and would opt for a peaceful resolution. i still would like that. Hohn knows me personally. he's seen me deliver politically-correct speeches and emails during a tense situation with very little effort, but he's also seen me at my worst and he knows that this little rant is relatively tame for me. i don't let out this side of me that much and i try to mediate during conflicts.

but just because i try to dissuade Dante's remarks doesn't mean i always disagree. i may be pretty dense when it comes to reading women (like most guys are) but i'm relatively perceptive. plus, i think i've set the tone this week with rants that are borderline offensive to some folks. i started with the camp i work for, then on to my church's higher ups, then back to the higher ups and certain counselors from the camp, and now i'm bringing my circus act to Gaia ("today only!").

i always try not to be so one-sided which is why i often acted as mediator between the two parties who are beefing against one another but i also HATE repeating myself. and the fact that i'm complaining about the same gripes that i've had for a while now is redundant and frustrating. how can i not be one-sided in this situation? ok, the holidays, i get it! we all had family engagements and all that other junk. but i've always made it a point to let you all know when and how long i'll be gone, as a sign of courtesy to folks i respect. Kai, even when you've had personal issues, you manage to contact us and drop us a line to let us know what's going on. Triskal and Dante has always been good with letting us know when they won't be available, and even if they weren't they try to make time for the guild (RE: the re-scheduled 30k "event"). i let you guys know when i'm travelling. and Hohn, well we all just kinda assume that he's always touching himself inappropriately when he's not on gaia (hah, just kidding!). but we usually tell each other when work or school or ******** LIFE is kicking our asses. it's a sign of courtesy and respect.

but when it comes to the other folks, i can't help but feel a lack of that sometimes. they disappear from time to time, often during the most inconvenient parts of the story, and then come back and repeat the cycle. i don't want excuses or rationalizations or promises and teaser posts regarding all the "awesome" things they have in store for us that's enough to make a unicorn giggle his horn off. i don't come here to be spoon-fed an awesome story, i come here to play a part in it. it's like we're stuck in this paradox where my pleas can't get in and their arrogance can't get out. yeah, i said "arrogance". that's how i explain their attitude that it's not a big deal to make us wait. i call it like i see it, baby. how else can you explain Star getting hammered during the first 30k and then disappearing on us AGAIN a month later?

now they're going to see this and ask the big guns, Nova herself to come down and give me a glass of haterade. heaven forbid i speak my mind for time to time after all the occassions i've acted as mediator. i share the same concerns and frustrations as everyone else, both the nova folkers and you guys. i do. and usually i'm content with just sitting in the sidelines, let y'all rub your cocks together until someone develops ED and then step in to help alleviate the situation. but everyone has their limit, and i think i've reached mine.

i'm still here because i love this guild, and i care about you guys. everyone who's been together these last couple of years. most importantly, i feel that i owe it to Stephen to help keep it going. maybe all this bitching will help that, maybe it'll hinder that. but frustration's not too different from flatulence. you try to let it out when no one's around and no one gets hurt but sometimes you can't help but just rip one infront of people. it stinks and i look stupid, but when the cloud settles (heh), my a** is gas-free and i can relax again.

hopefully i feel better tomorrow... although the tacos i had today won't be helping much... xp

anyway, like i said, it's not like i never agreed with you or never supported you. but i always tried to opt out to be the mediator in the usual squabbles.

the destruction of Degobah, i thought, was a good platform. it allowed us to stretch out a little and be a little more creative. instead of coming to a house, we got to build one with our specifications (probably why the Enclave feels more like a fortress than a temple). it gave us an opportunity to stretch our wings... except there wasn't much wing-stretching that happened because everyone's spread out so much with none of us knowing what's supposed to happen next. it's like asking the magic 8-ball a question.

Q: "will i have a successful future?"

A: "let's see what the future holds."

as for triskal's way out... the escape pod was a quick idea. not exactly sure why it's so hard to come up with one. hit the brakes and go pull over somewhere. grab life by the balls and give it a good yank, triskal! grab them balls!! GRAB IT!! seriously though, you've got 2 of the 3 VC's telling you to free style and go bananas. you want me to send an assassin after you? someone tall, dark and handsome whose intentions are not clear? maybe a tortured soul looking for redemption or a predator looking for a prey? or both? that should be right up your alley... hahah. seriously, girl. go nuts. wink
