Allen nodded he knew Maddy would be fine, not to mention, his Pokemon were exhausted so they wouldn't be of any use to help him out, he pushed himself against a wall to dodge a falling rock, and scooted along for a moment to run to the elevator. He held the door open for anyone else to run into the rather large metallic square.

Lysandre and Maddy were rolling around on the ground.
"I TOLD YOU THAT DEALING WITH LEGENDARY POKÉMON WAS STUPID!"
She punched him in the face once more.
"My plan will prevail! One way or another!"
He tried to push Maddy away, grabbing her by the face.
She bit down on his hand and mumbled something inaudible.
Suddenly, she felt the back of her coat being lifted up. Looking over her shoulder, she found that Xerneas was back.
"Wha-What?"
"You didn't think I would abandon you, do you?"
The voice echoed through the room, even though the Pokémon's mouth did not move.
"You may not be my trainer, but I owe you the favor."
He placed Maddy on his back.
Maddy kept a firm grip on Lysandre, one hand holding onto his hair and the other on his upper arm.
"You're not dying here. You're paying for your crime!"
Xerneas began to jump back up the tunnel, the ground quickly falling out from beneath them. Lysandre was becoming difficult to hold on to.
He thrashed about and struggled to break free of Maddy.
"Let me go, you b***h!"
"You're not the first man to say that to me."
He suddenly twisted to the side, freeing himself from the hand holding his hair.
Maddy was starting to lose her grip on him.
Xerneas took one last leap and they were flying out of the hole... and Maddy lost her grip on Lysandre. She bit her lip as he fell, but Xerneas was moving so fast that he was soon out of sight.
Suddenly, the weapon finished charging and fired. However, Xerneas had damaged it so badly earlier that the shot backfired and destroyed the machine. The explosion was large and the shockwave sent Xerneas and Maddy flying.
They were falling towards the forest when Maddy slipped off Xerneas back. She broke through the forest canopy and hit her head and her back pretty hard on the way down. She then landed hard on her back on the forest floor.
"Ugh..."
She tried to sit up, but her head was spinning.
"Guys...?"

Rose arrived at the forest near Maddy and saw Xernias drop her off. Rose called out a thank you to Xernias before it disappeared from sight again "Hey boss" Rose answered, smiling "I'm glad to see you made it out. I did as you ordered, but you had me worried."

The shockwave was felt throughout the cave. Rei spun around.
"That must have been the machine. I hope Maddy made it out."

Maddy felt herself being lifted up by Dark but had no strength to move and try to stand. She could vaguely make out the faces of other Team Aqua members through her blurry vision.
"I think we're done here... Let's leave, please..."
She wanted to grab her Alakazam's Poké Ball from her belt but didn't have the strength to lift her arm.
"Ugh..."

"Alright. Team Aqua assemble." He turns to Misery who nods and teleports all Aqua in a few mile radius to the Aqua house. Dark lays Maddy in a bed and sighs.
"I've gotta go. I'm gonna be stuck with both damage control and mountains of peperwork." He shakes his head and teleports away with Misery.

Rose nodded to Maddy "I'll stay with you, boss, and get you to the base in one piece. I give you my word" she offered and wrapped an arm around Maddy, allowing Maddy to rest against her to aide her as they moved.

Allen burped, he didn't have anything on his stomach to vomit. The tumble he took entering the cave, threw him way off, and them being teleported right away gave him no time to expect the feeling. He pushed himself up to his hands and knees to wait for the feeling to subside and once it did he found his way to Caleb, "Sorry man. The shock wave was really powerful." He patted his teammate's back a few times.
