I have eight hours this week. -_- I'm gonna be putting in applications online like whoa today, though. I'm not really sure how my stance is at this job right now anyway, because I said ******** it and called in last night.
I had to get Naz at 5, which was when my shift started and I worked until 10. I told them the day before, hey I need to get her, I'm not making her wait five hours for me, help please. So, they blew me off naturally.
I was going to just be an hour late, but I said to hell with it and called in instead. Which, shame on me. But I'm really starting to hate the management and their ******** me over.
It's pretty much, "We want to keep you because you bust your butt, unfortunately because there aren't many hours back here we're going to have to schedule only on the mornings or nights we really need you and expect you to get all this shut done in four hours. But if you work really hard you'll see more hours!^^" That was nearly two months ago since my hours have dwindled down from a solid 30-something to this s**t now.
And Naz is more of my concern than the fifty bucks I'd make at the end of the freaking work week. She's the one busting her a** and working pretty much over 40 hours a week and I don't want her suffering over my bullshit job that can't even give me twenty ******** hours.
I really can't wait to just sit down with my laptop, roleplay and juggle a job where I'm there nearly full time. I function better when I know for sure I'm pulling my weight around and have my own toys to relax with. S'hard to use someone else's computer for me.
As far as school goes, you guys are doing better than me. I had a 3.8 when I graduated and have yet to use it. Go kick those school's asses. scream

XD I could always change my old main, pinkigloopyxie to cassafrass. O_o YEAH. I is to be doing that.
O_o I might end up using it sometime, maybe when I get a longer phone cord/find my dialup cord cuz then I can be lazy and lay down and use the internets. But now it's too short so I'd have to lay on the floor in the kitchen next to the trash can. XD Aaah.

D: 3.8? O_o Geeze. I had a 3.5/3.5 freshman and sophmore year, but only a 3.2/3.1 junior and senior. Course I got a 4.0 last semester here so that's good but still. O_o
PSYCHOLOGY YAAAAAAAAAAAAY. I am gonna try to stalk the guy again.

IttyBittySnapeKitty. :3 UHM. Yeah I called out tons when I first started working because I would stress out and like make myself sick so. But I only ever got written up for it once, which is silliness, but it's a good thing for me, haha. Because my shifts were always 8:45 shifts where I couldn't really call 2 hours ahead like you're supposed to, but yeah they only wrote me up once for it. Of course, I am still on my final warning, dunno when that will wipe again, but... not working enough to really mess up at all, haha!
I'm hoping to get 20 hours or so during summer, not much more than that. Somehow even being available everyday I feel like they might only put me on for 10-15 hours. They're really cutting back peoples time, but still, it summer so I'd think they give everyone more hours.
I'm seriously thinking I should apply somewhere else. Either somewhere closer or somewhere more... less miserable. But I really do like my coworkers now, so I dunno. S'not so bad. :3
*flails around* Studying is not working guuuuys.

Okay, so I just wasted an hour and a half of my ******** day.
So, my sister in law comes over right after I get back from taking Naz to work. She's all bruised to ******** and ******** up on pain meds and basically looks like a zombie that used to be a crack whore.
She asks me to go get my nephew from school because she doesn't feel safe driving and I say sure.
I have a vague idea where his school is, and of course she can't even remember the name of it, or the streets near it.
This was at 3:45. He gets out of school at 4:10. The school is roughly a half hour drive.
Well, because our area seems so ******** "Road Fix!" happy with construction there's only two ways to get back to the main roads from where we live.
Well, I took the fastest seeming route, same one I've been taking. Not only was there a wreck there that held me up for ten minutes but the road that I turn off on to get to the streets I need also had a really nasty rear end-er wreck.
I got lost once after that because she had mentioned Oliver st. "Don't go past Oliver, it's before it" was all she really managed to say for directions.
Okay, so there are TWO schools on Mt. Vernon, and Oliver happens to divide the two. She had me going to the one that if you went in the OPPOSITE direction it would be the wrong one.
So, after figuring that out I got to his school.
15 minutes late, I was.
He had already left with a friend because I wasn't there yet.
Why did she even bother asking me to go get him!?
Ugh.
I ******** hate my family.

She doesn't get off until 11:15 tonight.
I go in at 8am tomorrow, then get off at noon. I think she goes in at like 11:30 until 7 or something like that... Eh, I'm not really worried about going to bed tonight. I'll see her for a few hours in the very least.

Okay, so I filled out an application online just now for the McDonalds right by our house. I hope I get a call back from them because I think I'd enjoy that job. The entire crew seems pretty awesome in there. It's a handful of older people and the rest are all emo or rocker/stoner kids.
And I could walk if I really wanted to. XD

Sound good, Kitty. Sorry that happened to you. This is only slightly relevant, but I remember when I was a little kid my babysitter forgot to come over so I was stuck outside my house in the cold and rain for two hours until my mom got home, and I was only like, 8, so I didn't have the sense to just walk to my sitters house. (she lived right next door) n_n
Uhm but no, really even if you have a "shitty" job, it's the people there that make it good or bad. The customers, yes, but the coworkers more.
I hate driving. Have a slight fear of it. If I don't know how to get somewhere I do not go.
Think I got at least a 60-70 on the test today, which is fine because I know as a fact a lot of people downright failed. (people left 10 minutes in so...they didn't know any answers) It was all essay questions. Yep.

Ew, I'm sorry you guys have such job-related troubles. D: I wanted to apply for a job to the local gas station/grocery store but my mom said no. :/ She just wants me to work on getting a job at the library in a college town near us, which is understandable because I want to get a Master's in library science. I'm gonna work at the library at my college when I get there, too. The librarian said she'd give me a job since I have such an interest in library science.
Also, wow Kitty, that sucks. D: I'd be really pissed off if I were you. x___x I hate driving and feeling like it wasn't even worth it.

So guys, what do you know about LASIK surgery? Any opinions on it? Darrell's dad suggested that Darrell get some, but my parents (both doctors) say it's really risky, as did the optometrist in Nashville my brother went to (he has kerataconus). What do you guys know about it?

Personally, Janine, I say no to big friggin' lazers shooting beams of stuff at my eyes just so I wouldn't have to wear glasses. I like glasses, I think I look better with glasses. Plus, don't you have to get it re-done every few years?

... and I'm like 'I understand this completely, but at the same time, wtf I am only more ******** jobs and the ******** games you have to play to get them. X_X Pisses me off that it's so necessary. I just hate .... lying... and embelishing so much, it makes me feel sick because they don't really care who I actually am, they only care that you can fake being 'perfectly qualified' and don't give a damn as long as you keep it up.

Naww, I do silly stuff like that to Milo all the time and he loves it. They LOVE plastic bags, must be something about the noise they make. I put them both in a big clear plastic bag all the time and they just start flipping out at eachother because they don't like being that close to one another. x3 Oh it's so cute though.
We have these... big long tubes for them to go in. One is thinner than the other, and Milo, being a fatass, will hardly fit through that one. Anyhow though, the girl ferret, Miya, runs through those tubes like a bullet and can even turn around while inside them. And he will run on the outside of the tube and try and catch her before she gets to the other end... and if she sees him waiting outside she won't come out or she'll turn around and go to other way. x3 But the most awesome part is, when she doesn't come out... Milo lays down and looks all forlorn and submissive and just stares into the tube.
n_n I love that chubby ferret man so much. *noms Milo's head*

PUT YOUR FERRET ON A DIET. :3 I have put my cat on a diet and it has worked well. He is now much, much skinnier. ^_^ I think he only weighs about 20lbs now. ^_^
But anyways that is comforting to know there are other goofy people out there.... D: Even though you see people put clothes on dogs every day... XD Clothes on dogs, wtf.
