If a liar can only speak lies, and you met a liar on the street and he said he was a liar would he be a liar?

Jim Hensley If a liar can only speak lies, and you met a liar on the street and he said he was a liar would he be a liar? Yes. Why? Because you already told me he was a liar xp There's a contradiction in the question, since it could never happen.

If one is a liar and one tells only truth, then the one who stated that one of them is a liar spoke the truth. At the same time the silent man did not correct him, or mislead, agreeing that one of them was a liar. But then does that make them both truthful or both liars?
...or am I confusing the situation farther? xp

But if a knight tells only the truth, then they can't both be knights as the one, said that one of them was a liar. Now if that in itself is a lie, then the man who said it is the liar, and yet is telling the truth.
Ah these things are fun.
Here's a way out answer. One of them is the child of a knave and a knight so they both lie and tell the truth, causing the world to 'splode', Kabang! xp

Nothing says A and B can't be the same thing. Here's another one. A says "I am a knave or B is a knight" and B says nothing.
