I was wondering when Cale was going to be catching on. Neb doesn't present much of a threat... well, too much.
I'm surprized it took that many hints to get Cale to realize who Neb was. Oh well, we all can't have jedi perception.

Allon Katarn is related to Kyle Katarn. They have the family connection to the force, like Luke>Leia. He tells Allon where to go.

We know. But then again, Kyle doesn't know everyone's whereabouts, and moreso, not necessarily knows everything the jedi is up to. He'd be helping out the war effort, like Neb and Luke are. So he's also not some guru who knows where everyone is and what they are doing on the telephone 24/7 either.
Not to mention, the TSQ is something that not everyone is supposed to know about. Its hushed up by the jedi. Not to mention, they don't really know what it does, or even what it really is in the first place. That is why Neb's going after it, since he used to be an archaelogist earlier, and also has the best chance of discovering why it was attempted to be destroyed.
The only thing they know is that it was rumored to be dangerous, and that it was created by the sith. Other than that, the knowledge pertaining to it is mostly known to Neb alone, since he hasn't collected all the shards, he is unable to make any headway that is useful.

I got owned. But really, the only thing Allon cares about the force is that he can communicate with his bro. The Sith/Jedi thing is mumbo jumbo to him.
