well ******** it. folks aren't responding so i'm gonna start branching off. and since the powers-that-be don't trust me with their precious plot plans and secrets anyway, then they'll get one chance to stop me before Q blasts off.

i understand the holidays too. but i told you guys beforehand when i'll be gone and i've been nagging to get extended that same courtesy as well. things come up and i get it, but again it boils down to courtesy. i just wanna book it to throw a monkey wrench in the plans and see what happens from there. as it is right now, Q got that mental message from Verti and he's planning on heading to Degobah to investigate. so it's not like i'm branching off to start a new subplot, but at the same time i just wanna do SOMETHING.

i know what you mean. i'm not complaining about the storylines. theories and ideas are well enough to get me excited but execution can get frustrating. it's like comparing KotoR and Oblivion. there's nothing wrong with either game, but KotoR tends to be linear once you've chosen either path whereas Oblivion has sidequests and expansion packs up the yin yang to keep you playing even when you ditch the main quest. i think i've logged at least 30 hours on Oblivion and i still haven't progressed in the main quest. if i feel like riding my horse from town to town slicing Orcs along the way, i could. that's not to say that it's all i want to do, but the freedom to switch it up and the option to do so is nice. makes for excellent replay value... wink

hahah.. yeah! that's the beauty of the game. so far i've just set off to become an arena champ and am supposed to be questing for the head of the Dark Brotherhood. i've mastered sneak, but i stopped questing before that job to kill that one dude in the prison (or have i killed him already...?). i stopped playing the game when my schedule picked up with other commitments and have focused mainly on NBA 2k8 and Rock Band recently. i still pick it up every now and then, but only when the batting cages are closed and i get the urge to hit something. so i've been going off collecting rare items and whatnot... kinda like a treasure hunter. that should be an official class... hahah!

Security... or alteration. to get past locks
Blade? for defence against monsters.
Athletics... for obsticles... and jumping...
Sneak... cos... cos I like it.
Restoration... just incase.
Marksman... I love marksman.
Mercantile or speachcraft... whichever one makes you be able to sell what you get for high prices.

marksman and stealth rocks. i picked the birth sign that turns me invisible. blade and bow are my weapons of choice, but in terms of other attributes i can't remember. another character i picked (before reading the strategy guide) was a dark elf, because i usually pick that when i play these type of games. in any case, i borrowed that guide from jubei and my co-worker borrowed it. he hasn't returned it since and i haven't played much since he borrowed it. i barely remember the other attributes though, but i mastered sneak and i'm pretty close to mastering the bow.

i barely spent any attribute points on mercantile, so i wasn't getting good deals until i became the arena champ. i just figured merchants weren't cat people. racist bastards... stare
