hmmm that humvee wannabe vehicle is asking for load of veterans carrying meltas/flamers/plasmas to become scourge of tanks/coverhuggers/tincans. SAS in the Western Desert 1942 anyone?

While these vehicles don't look like LRDG types, they could easily be converted to such a purpose by stripping them down to a more bare model and adding in more supplies such as ammo and jerry cans of fuel.
I'm actually curious to see how these will fit into the Elysian background and what weaponry they will be provided with. I'm almost certain that one turret variant will feature an autocannon at the very least.
@Winnie: 11-10-10, open-topped, fast, has enough room for five men and can use the tow hook to tow a small artillery piece, but when it tows it loses the ability to move fast. The passengers may also use the forward hull mount to fire weapons from, including special and heavy weapons.
Only downside is that the Centaur is very expensive as of right now, only ten points less than a Chimera.

Well, you don't need many Centaurs. They can only carry five men, so they are either bought for five-man Grenadier squads, company and platoon command squads, or as towing vehicles for light artillery.
But paying 45 points for a small fast tractor is absurd when the Chimera only costs 55 points. Granted, Krieg armies have no access to the Chimera, but still!
Here's hoping that those Elysian armoured cars won't be so horribly over-costed.

I'm going to get a Demolisher-hybrid kit this weekend and a ton of tiny magnets, let's see if I can squeeze the most out of that kit. wink

I'm getting an itch for minis again myself. I'll have to save up for a bit and see what catches my eye at the friendly local game store.

A hobby champ like you shouldn't have any trouble at all, if I can build it with two left hands then you can magnetize it no problem at all with your two right hands. 3nodding
