January 21st ~
SOF Taiga: The Boots are not combat boots at all; they are tall and toe-pinching. The Tactical Vest can add nice detail to an outfit.
Zodiacal: This year-long monthly-evolver starts with Aquarius and offers six poses in addition to the default. The Waterfall Badge is like a very asymmetrical scarf that falls to the feet. The Sleeveless Uniform is a detailed tunic; I hope I can find some sleeves to wear with it. The Starfall Cloak seems quite swoopy and fun. The Wrapped Scarf has intricate detailing on one side; I'll have to play with layering to work with this pose. Aquarius Rules the Ankle is an adorable shoe-accent. I'm not sure why it only appears on one foot, but I've really been wanting more accents at the very bottom of the avatar, and I hope this trend continues throughout the signs. The Wind Pendants seem to be floating wings anchored by jeweled weights. I like this item so far and I want Gaia to know that I fully support traditional (non-rapid) Evolving Items, but the exorbitant price on this piece precludes my obtaining more than one.
Forteanagoria: The finale presents companions Gray and Space Brother, along with equippable pieces of their outfits. Close Encounter is a nice UFO background, and Gray Skin is not gray at all but a pale green that's a bit luminous. This item has added a fine collection of unearthly options, but I am most pleased with the backgrounds (Moonless Night, Misty Woodland, Crop Circles), the Crop Circle Shirts, and the Mothman Wings.

January 28th ~
Dream Town: This new REI starts out with a Film Reel the avatar can hold and a Jukebox. It seems to promise iconic poses from Old Hollywood; let's see what it actually contains as it unfolds.
SOF Taiga: The Belt is actually some type of waist-decoration, it seems. The Med Pack seems like a small messenger bag. Garrison is a cute little hat; it's got a good style, but I'm sure it is falling off my head. gonk On the other hand, the fans of tiny lopsided tophats are doubtless pleased. The Medic Dress has a lot of non-military-looking detail; it's a fun item but seems pretty irrelevant to the theme. I am still hoping for a symmetrical (3/4 view, though, of course) Dress Uniform featuring collar tabs, shiny buttons down the front and on all four pocketflaps and both epaulets, and maybe some decorative braid. whee
Antique Shop: This week, milkbun adds in some art nouveau poses. The Long Cape in dark grey and orange swirls to one side. The Boots are correctly angled and sized. The Coat Vest seems perfectly designed to complement the Long Cape, having a collar that extends a bit more on the near side. The Copper Drag has a fun exaggerated look, complete with dangling charm and roiling smoke. The Copper Mirror finishes this evolution's pose set and is my favorite this time. It shows your avatar's face if you sit near it.

Am i the only one who just isn't impressed with the antique shop? i guess it has the much-needed manly clothing, but it's so erratic because of all the different artists

ShadowedPorcelain didn't nightmare have the same swapping of artists though? I mean I like girly stuff so antique shop doesn't appeal to me the same way But the swapping was good for the Nightmare since the item itself featured in the seven sins. The changing was healthy for the Nightmare. I don't think it's the same for Antique Shop though.
