"Just fine, really. It's been quiet." he said, thinking about it. "Quiet's nice." he added. The sonar Ike was looking at earlier bleeped, but before Ike could get his hopes up he only realized it was the pokemon they sent.
"Those people... she said something about Surge's Militia..." he thought out loud. His forehead dropped to his hands, and Ike began to massage his temples. "Great, one more group of people who don't like us.... but... do you think they already knew our HQ was on this island?" Ike asked Reaper, looking up.

Ike looked to the side and pulled off his bandanna, his mind trying to remember everything that went down before the battles.
"But... maybe they didn't? I mean... she treated us like any other trainers..." Ike said, turning his bandanna around to see the Team Aqua symbol that was on the front of it. "... and they only got nasty when I told them this was Aqua's turf... I dunno." he said, dropping his bandanna to the floor and walking back up to the sonar screen. It began beeping again, and when Ike expected it to be another pokemon, a sphere-shaped object appeared instead. It was heading the same direction that Reaper and Ike's pokemon were swimming.
Ike watched the screen curiously, and the sphere began to slow down, as if it was a hound dog that had lost a scent. Suddenly the shape of a Crawdaunt appeared on the screen, and the sphere began to move toward Reaper's partner.
"Uh-oh... we gotta go help em." Ike said, taking his shirt off, grabbing an under-water breathing apparatus from a nearby shelf, and diving into the water.

The apparatus, which let the user swim faster due to the continued supply of oxygen to the blood, let Reaper and Ike reach their troubled pokemon in a timely fashion. At a distance, the sphere was chasing Crawdaunt. The sphere began to open up, and revealed itself to be an underwater cannon.
Ike gasped when he saw the cannon deploy a net which entangled itself on Reaper's partner. He looked around for the other pokemon, but couldn't find his.
"We gotta destroy it!" Ike said, looking over to Reaper. "You go free Crawdaunt, I'll destroy the cannon some how!"

Spinning around, the underwater cannon saw it's two new adversaries and deployed another net, this one entangling Ike. Pulling and struggling, Ike tried to break free from the net, but only began to sink. The cannon then turned it's sights on Reaper.

Ike, although entangled, managed to dodge the cannon as it began to sink faster than he did, and fell below into the dark-blue abyss. Out of nowhere, Mantine beat Reaper to Ike and sliced the ropes with its fins, setting Ike free. Ike pointed upward and began to swim toward the surface. Once there, he spat out his breathing apparatus and gasped for air. Mantine rose to the surface as well, and they were met by Swampert, who had just showed up to the scene.

Ike gasped between words.
"I'm sure... Floatzel's fine.... that was... the only one." he said. He cleared his through and turned to pat Mantine on the head. "Should we go look for him?"

Ike smiled with relief. Hanging onto Mantine, they and Swampert swam back under water and into the HQ via the underwater loading docks. Climbing out of the water, he thanked his pokemon and returned them, then went to dry himself off. Putting his shirt back on, he leaned up against the same I-beam and took a heavy sigh.
"That was a doozy." he commented.

Ike looked down at the Pokemon can gave them both a tasty Poke Block.
"That was some good thinking you did back there Reaper." Ike commented. "I'm going to give you a rank-up to tier 3 as Aqua Corporal."

Ike reached down to pick up his bandanna and walked toward the exit leading to the member's chambers.
"I'm calling it a night. Nice seeing ya!" He said, waving bye to Reaper and his pokemon.
