Jonah Hex Iffn' yuh ever heard that instrumental "Frankenstien" song, that's thuh Winters brothers. Wuz in car commercials year or so back. And, Spider, iff'n yuh got one tuh add, whaddaya think about puttin' together an informative thread? Least'n we kin do is answer questions for folks in CD once we get together enough of an archive. Sure. Here's a few I can think of off the bat:
Flex Mentallo Gaiman v McFarlane Twist v McFarlane Silvestri v Turner Lee v Marvel Marvel v NCSoft
I'd be willing to handle the Flex Mentallo and Twist v McFarlane and I'd imagine that Jackie Boy'd be the best one for Gaiman v McFarlane and Silvestri v Turner.

Got yer hands full with Twist there. That's one hell of a convoluted lawsuit, partly because of the rather interesting way they twisted the law. Heh, unintentional pun. I'm still leaning towards saying the right verdict came out, but at the same time it's one of those, "why would this bother you enough to make a lawsuit out of it?" deals. When all is said and done, MacFarlane is an idiot though. Meanwhile, I'll also cover the Kirby vs. Marvel case. And Neal Adams' crusade, since they're so closely connected. I might do the Seigel and Shuster vs. DC case, if only to talk about Bob Kane's brilliant leagal work.

John Constantine Jackie Estacado No, the CBLDF would have won that. Whatever the angry mothers think, they would have won that one, and it would have been a huge deal. And that's only assuming a lawsuit would have happened in the first place, which I highly, highly doubt. Having seen some of the parents' groups concerned with school shootings, I could well believe that Shoot may have been a bit too near the knuckle for them.
Question for Jonah: would the thread just be about people in the creative end of the spectrum, or could it include things like the comics store owner who was prosecuted for selling hentai to an undercover police officer? For now, thuh creative end, seein' as how there's plenty of material tah plow through.
