Thaaaank you, Hael! Spot-on analysis as usual, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who can see how ******** stupid Dan's roleplaying in this tournament is.
Don't forget that he's controlling like 2 to 3 different machines at a time with vague "optical" commands, and getting perfect resolution on like 4 different PIPs shoved right in his freakin' eyeball that he can see much of anything...
Must be really, really nearsighted, I guess.

Nahw, yew' dancin'.
And no problem Cael. I too would love to have a device that can effectively make me so perceptive that my opponent is literally unable to catch me off-guard in any way shape or form, and to disguise this by having it babble French in microscopic font so much that the judges are too baffled to do s**t about it.
Alas. I instead have raping snake tentacles.

So is that the Fier vs Acro of this round, or is it just the Dan vs Himself of this round?
I might have to read this now.

The second, Jello. And for that alone, it is well worth reading.
I mean all I just wrote pertained to his most recent post. One. Just one post.
Also, I must see this video.

Why is Dan allowed to have these machines anyways?
Sounds like summons to me. And that's not even anything against him, I'm just wondering how the ******** it got through without being blatantly construed as "quasi-autonomous entities attacking on the command of the character" because that's what a summon is. It can be a robot, or a dog, or a demon, or you can be ******** Soundwave spitting out cassettes that turn into robot birds.
I'm pretty sure a summon is just supposed to be "a separate entity attacking for the player character", so how this got through, I don't know. I don't really think it's fair to compare it to Omi's snake thing either, because those are under direct manipulation, as opposed to being wholly complete and separate entities.
Like I said, nothing against the player or character.. just not entirely sure how it's supposed to be justifiable if summons (iirc) aren't allowed. It's not really a line you can "toe", it's either a summon or it isn't.
EDIT:: All that being said, I would personally allow someone to play Soundwave, cassettes and all. Just 'cause.

I... don't think GTB has rules against that like HoH does.
But I could be wrong.
[edit] What about DT? Could I enter a pokemon trainer and have like 7 characters?

"No outside intervention (friends, familiars, summons, or otherwise) will be permitted."
I would construe "robot thingies" to be considered familiars, regardless of their level of autonomy.
But I dunno, I guess now it's not so strict or something.

It got in because the judges were lazy and decided to split the profiles up evenly instead of grading them as a collective group. Vansin got some, Rhoslyn got some, Vintrict got some, and Tenkai got some. Each judge has a different level cap and graded appropriately.

The fact my serpents have been cleared for HoH, GTB, DT, and several other shindigs should indicate something. They're not separate entities or sentient in even the most minuscule of ways, like said.
Though if I fought someone who unleashed a horde of robotic fire-frogs.. I couldn't deny the badass there.

I assumed the profiles needed at least a 2/3 majority approval from three judges grading them.
I mean, I had two judges talk to me about my profile, and one approve it automatically, then I got 3/3 approval from them (Tenkai, Vintrict, Rhoslyn).
So I'm not sure at what point that.. stopped happening, or what. I was under the assumption that each profile would be graded by a trio, and that it would have to pass snuff for a majority of that grading panel. I know that's how my profile got graded, did this not happen to other people?

And thank you, Vizzle. That's what I've been trying to get at the whole time, though arguably not as bluntly or intelligently.
I mean... he *does* control them... but that degree of control is where I call BS. Once again, discreet and vague "optical" commands to command multiple machines at a time to perform a multitude of tasks?
I mean, with a "twitch of his eye" he can apparently tell one of his machines where to move, how to move, how fast it needs to move, to use its ability or not, to modulate that ability such as to determine its range, scope and aim...
All apparently in the time it takes to basically twitch an eye. Or blink an eye.
You have to look behind the "no interference" rule to the root of a problem. The rule itself is vague, but maybe purposely so. If it was just like one machine, like the centipede, and he had to command it verbally... Okay then, great. It doesn't really split up an opponent's focus on like five different things, and it also doesn't show he can apparently control five different, separate entities as easy as breathing, even if they are not totally autonomous.
So, like I was getting at, does it really have to be a living, breathing creature? Does it have to be sentient?
I think it just has to interfere in a crucial way. Plus I think the relative durability of a machine and how many Dan can have in play would easily trump one small living, breathing creature like a bird meant to peck the opponent's eyes out. Because you'd get DQ'ed for having that puny a** bird..

Unrelated, but I should make a post in the infirmary sometime.
EDIT:: Also, it wouldn't be fair to DQ Dan for having summons. He should have read the rules beforehand to know what was or wasn't allowed, but in the end if he got through judging, that's not really his fault.
