I think they at least got a bit better though. I mean now you see at least three different body types for each gender instead of just one.
Examples of different types in the Evolution series:
Girls-
1. Jean
2. Kitty
3. Storm
Guys-
1. Wolverine

Ever notice that if a mutant has a perfectly human body...they all tend to be perfectly beautiful or handsome? (muscles and everything man...) Well there is the obvious choice of Blob. His powers have not always included his blobbiness. He used to be just fat with strength if I remember correctly. But Ill have you a more prime example momentarily

though if you go with one of the arc where the scarlet witch makes people lose their abitlities. once blob is no longer a mutant, he instantly losses all of the fat.
