How long does a blade need to be to puncture your heart from the side?

Depends which side and how wide your target's torso is.

Four inches for his left side minimal.

HyruleKnightLink
This blasphemy can kick your a**. Just ask Omi, Fierach, or any other fool who crossed Link and his Shield of Bashing.

Fierach? Ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, God, you have a straight line to my funny bone. I haven't laughed that hard in quite sometime. Thank you.

Roen, you fighting Fierach, is like Mike Tyson taking on an infant.

@Sokoya.: I have no clue. Ask Naota if he's around, or google that s**t.

So...a 8 inch blade to the left side would be more than enough?

I should just take the death/near death and be done with it.

Indeed.

Assuming it went between the ribs and at what angle. You could stab "through" the ribs but sort of follow the bone so to speak and just carve up the serratus and intercostal muscles without hitting an organ.

But if you stab INWARD into the chest cavity without angling downward, you're likely to hit the heart, yeah. And even angling the blade might not help, I'm not entirely sure.

I'm guessing it would also depend on between which two ribs the blade went between. The lower you go, the less chances for fatality, I would assume.

Fierach used to be pretty good, or maybe we all just got better. I don't know.

Maybe he fell on his head.

Damn that would hurt. Could you even imagine?

Hoshiko approached quickly, probably seeing the opportunity that had presented itself. With the battle being close quarters, Joel did something that he rarely did to an opponent he didn't think was worth their salt - he dropped his axe and laid a hand on the large knife strapped the back of his belt line. The moment Hoshi was close enough he drew the blade and made for a fast stab towards her left side, aiming to do some serious damage.

She could continue through with kneeing him in the nuts and receive a horrific stab wound, or cancel her attack and keep up with the dodging pattern she'd so firmly established. It didn't take but a fraction of a moment to drop his blade and put his hand on his knife, he'd done this motion thousands of times over. It was pretty much instinctive when somebody managed to get too close.

If she continued through with kneeing him in the nuts, she'd have 8 inches of thick steel stuck into her side, with Joel leaning into her and keeping it there. (Also trying to catch his breath stolen breath from just being kicked in the nuts. That'd mean he'd have to take a trip to the infirmary after the match.)

Doesn't really say what part of Hoshiko's side he stabbed at. Could be lower near the kidney, could be higher, could be the armpit, hell, any of those are technically your side.

I think he's leaving it up to you.

Probably because he dropped the soap. Big mistake on his part.
