"I can think of many reasons." He listened to the rhythmic sounds. "I'm more concerned with why he's throwing stuff at the dojo, as opposed to walking in."

"That's also an interesting question." Nyl headed out, returning to the kitchen and her tea. She refroze the mugs, picking hers up and sipping it. "You know, I think I like this 'iced' tea."

The pings continue to seep into the Academy, he had been here awhile and only had one fight so far...was something off? Nah...besides, it was harmless fun to through these tiny pellets.

He followed her out of the dojo, pausing for a few moments to watch the bookshelf shut. He backpedaled slowly, then entered the kitchen and took his own mug. "I'm still undecided. Changes like these take time to adapt to." He smiled as he took a sip.

She snapped her fingers, a tiny blue flame igniting for a moment in the air.
"If you can't adapt fast enough...it could be deadly."

Seph snapped his fingers as well, a box of red fire folding out around her blue flame, turning the whole image purple. He nodded to her, taking another sip. "And a refusal to adapt could mean extinction." He looked down at the tea in his mug. "Alright, I'll hand it to you. It's pretty good. Not as good as the old-fashioned stuff, but this, I can drink."

"Iri suggested it." Nyl shrugged. "I don't know, Seph, maybe it's time for some other changes around here."

"Like?" He wiggled his fingers a bit, dragging the purple box-shaped inferno in front of him. He spun it on one of its corners in the air.

She shrugged again. "I don't know yet. It merits some thought, and apparently I finally have time to think about such things...when I'm not busy looking for solutions."

Seph nodded. "Yes, maybe we've been living the 'out-of-sight-out-of-mind' life for too long." He shrugged and drained the rest of his tea. "Maybe we should up our recruiting efforts. I'm not going to be able to be Ho Sensei forever." That was but one concern that had been filling Sephiroth's thoughts. He had a mind full of changes that could be right around the corner.

Nyl's hand closed tightly around the handle of her mug.
"And as much as I would like to, I can't be ijutsu sensei and mizu replacement forever, either." She drained her mug as well, standing it and putting it in the sink. "But don't worry, Seph, you and your Ho are legendary."

Seph grinned wide. "We'll go down in history, that's for sure. Books will be written: 'A Boy and His Ho.' It'll be a Best Seller." He laughed and placed his mug in the sink as well. "I think when it's all said and done, we'll all be Legendary."

Nyl laughed. "Thanks, but I'd rather not be. Ninja are supposed to be subtle and shadowed, after all."

Seph nodded. "Good point. That's the fate of the Ninja, isn't it? To fade to a whisper before time. Leave it to the boastful warriors to etch their names in history. Our existence will be mentioned in myth, and nothing more."

"You wax poetic late at night, or something?" She poked him lightly in the shoulder, almost forgetting for a moment the facade she would have to start wearing soon. There was another presence behind Seph's blue eyes, watching.
