Thanksgiving and Christmas were both a lot more fun when I was a kid. Now, there are way too many preparations to make and way too many people to please.

Hi everyone, I haven't been in here for a very long time. Is there a teen group here, or does everyone have littles? I love littles don't get me wrong ( I am going to be a wonderful grandma, although hopefully not for at least 8 years or so) but when I was here last all the talk was baby talk. I have teens I want to alternently brag and complain about. All the other teen chat places Ive been to elsewhere on the web, are full of people who seem to hate their teens. My drive me nuts, but Im proud as hell of them. And I would like to chat with folks who feel the same. Just wondering xd

We'll actually be home for Turkey day this year, so no cooking for me. Not that we do much anyway, it's usually just us.
Cipher, we have a handful of parents with older children, but we don't seem to see them as often. I'm trying to find the thread that was made for them and can't seem to find it a.t.m. @_@

Luckily, the past few years we've been out of town for Thanksgiving visiting family, so no cooking! Although Christmas is my time to make a special meal for my family. I look forward to it.

Mooncipher, my stepdaughter just turned 18, so you aren't completely alone in here. If we find any more (or even if we don't), I'd be happy to be a part of a "parents of teens" thread.

~ ~ I like to cook. ninja
I normally eat with my mom's family so I only tend to make a pie or two. I used to do a special dinner periodically though that was kind of like a miniature Thanksgiving. I drove myself crazy cooking all of it, but it always ended up being worth it in the end.

I always make the pies too. We get to go to my mother in-laws this year, and she told me if I didn't bring her an apple pie I couldn't come. I guess she likes my pies xd .

~ ~ My grandma bakes pies as well, but we have a couple relatives that eat enough for 2 or 3 people. Especially my boyfriend. When it comes to festivities my boyfriend can really pack away the food.

Hey everyone!!! Well, I worked the opening shift at my store today! lol... I would feel dramatic if I just said "i survived". Honestly, this is my 5th christmas there... and it gets a little easier every year. Also, this year, I ran register which made my time fly by.
Also, I had the happy thought of baker's square pie leftovers at home to encourage me. xD
anyways, yesterday we just went to my mom's. normally we play a lot more games.. but the guys all wanted to leave for my house to play mario galaxy. rolleyes geez.. i can see it now. just when this trend is finally over.. it'll almost be time for smash bros brawl.. and then my house will be way too busy for realz.
any of you gonna try out rock band?
Man.. I have carnival games. and me and naaman play that together.
Hope i'm not being super random here. xD
and, PD, your avi looks so nice! you've really been having some awesome avi's lately...

~ ~ No, I just had a lack of internet and have been working a lot lately.
She likes to move at night right before I go to sleep and in the morning right when I get up. It's very...interesting.
