The boy continued to try and cook, but it wasn't turning out well. He'd already cut most of his fingers and burnt his hands and arms. Soon he resorted to the only thing he knew how to cook. Noodles. So he made her the best bowl of noodles he could ever make. The raven then took it over to her, hoping she'd appreciate the gesture.

Maria started to stir as the smell of burning overwhelmed the scented candle. She woke up as Shiro came in with a bowl of noodles, causing her to raise her eyebrows and sit up in surprise. He had cooked?

Shiro blushed a little and handed her the bowl in his bandaged hands. "Here. I-I thought you might be hungry... O-Or something..." he said nervously. He could feel his face heating up as he waited for her to take the food he had made.

Maria blushed, as well, taking the noodles with a stammered thank you. She really was hungry, now that he mentioned it. So, she ate the noodles and smiled widely. They were pretty delicious. And she felt much better with food in her stomach. But then she finally noticed Shiro's bandaged hands. Her smile turned into a frown, and she put the bowl down, taking his hands and inspecting them. "Vicious man-eating noodles?" she asked, though it wasn't really a joke. She shook her head at the messy, stained bandages, and stood, grabbing him by the arm and dragging him into the kitchen. Running the water, she undid his bandages, wincing at his hurt hands. "Jeeze!"

Shiro was a bit surprised when Maria grabbed his arm and dragged him into the kitchen. He winced some as she undid his bandages under the running water. "Ow! Ow, that hurts! Why are you wincing?" he asked, watching her take care of his cut and burnt hands.

Maria leveled her gaze with Shiro, before continued to run his hands under the water. When she was done, she carefully began to dry them with a clean towel. "There. Now clean bandages," she said, mostly to herself. Before finding some and wrapping them around his hands, securing them tightly. "Careful," she said quietly.

Shiro watched her as she bandaged up his hands, making him wince a little again. He then blushed a little as she held his hands. He simply looked away, trying not to seem like he was blushing.

Maria frowned as Shiro looked away. Letting go of one of his hands, she put her fingers on his cheek, turning him to face her again. "Are you all right? You're not feeling sick again, are you?"

Shiro blushed more, glancing away as she made him look at her. This was just getting too confusing! Finally the boy was fed up with his own shyness. He placed a hand on each of Maria's cheeks and kissed her, right then and there. A full blown kiss. After a moment he broke it, blushed brightly, then fled the kitchen.

Maria blushed as she realized that Shiro had just kissed her. Yes, kissed her. She glanced around, wondering if she was asleep. After pinching her arm, she established she was indeed awake. But where had Shiro run off to?

Shiro was sitting on the roof, blushing brightly and fiddling with the buttons on his shirt. He didn't know how Maria had reacted since he had run away so quickly. He really hoped it wasn't bad.

Maria went to the window and called a bird to her. She asked it to find Shiro and report back to her, and it fluttered off to do as she asked.

Shiro stayed on the roof, sighing some until he saw a little bird fluttering around. He sighed some and held out his hand for the bird to perch on. Maybe Maria sent it and he could talk to her through it.

The bird allowed itself to perch in Shiro's hand, pecking softly on his wrist.

Shiro sighed and looked to the bird. "Let me guess. That girl set you." he muttered, watching the creature. "Can you... Can you tell her... T-That I like her?"
