Seph was about to follow Nyl inside, when he heard a familiar groan. He blinked, then looked at the couch. "Hey there, Reeve." He smiled, then slipped into the kitchen.
Fresh Blood..
What? Him? No, trust me, you don't want him. He's part Fox. Foxes are.. known for their.. unique.. Viral.. fighting abilities. Which is why I wish I hadn't gotten rid of the Kyuubi. Birds are, too, just so you know..

Nyl finished with the tea, pouring it into three mugs and leaving the rest waiting for anyone else who wanted some. She sat at the table with her mug, calling to Reeve in the main room.
"I made tea if you want any!"

Reeve stands up from the couch, nodding groggily.
"Sure....wait, Nyl!? Seph!?"
Wide awake now, he half-runs into the kitchen.
" I haven't seen you two in ages!"

"Yes, well, that's what happens when you get involved in things outside the academy." Nyl shrugged, sipping her tea. "Your life gets busy."

Seph made his way to a mug and picked it up, taking a seat across from Nyl. He gave her a look, then took a sip of his tea. He smiled behind his mug and looked back to Reeve. "I've been here. Locked away in the Ho Dojo, as it were. What about you? Haven't seen you around in a while, either!"

He takes a cup of tea.

Seph nodded. "Business." He took another sip, then grinned somewhat sheepishly to Reeve. "Sorry if I woke you coming in. I didn't know you were there."

Nyl raised an eyebrow at Seph's 'business' but did not comment on it.
"You've been away as well, Reeve?" She smiled lightly. "Doing what, if I may ask?"

"Dealin' with government issues back home," Reeve says stiffly. "Came home to find the place deserted, till Neko showed up.

This.. "Neko" intrigues me. I would like to meet him.
Good luck finding him. Last I heard, he was frozen.
Seph nodded to Reeve, then stood up. He moved across the kitchen, keeping a good distance between himself and Reeve, then popped open the microwave. He pulled a bowl and a packet of oatmeal from a counter, then added water before popping it into the microwave. He dialed in the numbers that the packet told him to on the microwave, then hit start.
Nothing happened. Seph made a face, then pressed Start again.
Still, nothing. He sighed softly and pounded on the button surface. Something popped into his eye and made his blink hard, trying to get whatever it was out.
And suddenly, everything seemed very, very clear.
Seph became rigid, his heart rate increased, and he actually broke out into a sweat. "..Guys?"

I don't like that tone.
"Yes, Seph?" Nyl asked pleasantly, a distant smile still on her face.

He turned towards them, red eyes visible behind his glasses. "I, uh.." He looked dumbfounded.
He made sure to make no movement. He knew that whatever it was shared his eye color, and he knew that The Protector had told them not to trust anything unless it had blue eyes. He was speechless. And the headache! Why did his head hurt so badly!?
"It's.. me." He looked between them. Reeve would likely have no clue what he was talking about, and Nyl wasn't likely to believe him. He probably shouldn't have turned around.

Nyl stood up as though to take her empty mug to the sink, but froze at the words. She looked at Seph with one eyebrow raised, frowning slightly.
"What do you mean?"

"I mean, just that, I'm.. me.." He made his way back to the kitchen table, but as he moved, his headache got worse. He squinted, then made his way back, holding his temples for a few seconds. "I don't know what happened, he's.. the Virus.. And even The Protector, I don't know where they went, they're gone.. Not a trace of them, I can't find them."

Nyl's frown deepened. There was something here she should notice, but caution and suspicion were overrunning all her observation.
