Jimaine Szardos Excuse me? I'm not the one using alternate realities to justify my nymphomaniacal tendencies. Go back on your Prozac before you take away everyone else's powers. I'd be happy to strip you of yours and let you rot in limbo and call it a day. With Kurt and a bubblebath as my spoils.

Strip me of my power and I'll just re-learn the techniques. You of all people should know that magic excludes no one.

Oh I know that all too well dear, you're living proof of it. Now shut your mouth and have a drink, there's no sense in defeating you utterly unless there are sufficient witnesses.

If I wasn't absolutely positive that you've already been selected to go to Hell, I'd wish the mutants would hurry up and find out what you did. Watching you get dismembered, only to have to spend some time with me in Limbo...Maybe I'll go blackmail Mephisto into asking Lucifer to send you here for a little bit. That would be fun.

*Swirls her wine around the glass and inhales to properly take in the bouquet*
You would say then, guardian of limbo, that it is more damnable to seek peaceful resolution to a war that sets brother upon sister and takes father from daughter than to sit idly by and allow the madness and genocide to swell around you? Better to take action and be damned than to seek sainthood through inaction, I say.
*Finishes off her glass.*

Oh, I'm certainly not seeking canonization. I'm a Queen in the Splinter Realms. I keep demons for escorts. I practice the black arts, and by the very rules that define my position, I am condemned. I distanced myself from my loved ones. I gave up the chance at a happy life with the ones I loved to become the sovereign here. By guardian Limbo, I guard the roads. From here, one can access any dimension. In here, one can have nigh-unlimited power. It is why Belasco and Sym coveted this place so: Belasco to the point of sending the N'garai to eliminate your home dimension.
There is sacrifice in living here, and I will not be rewarded post-mortem. You, my dear, are preaching to the choir. We are both damned.

Then let us drink to spite the Christian god for whom we harbor no love and to the devil we lure to our beds.

There's an idea I can get behind. A downside to having Demons guard your home? They're bloody treacherous bastards. Can never let your guard down. It's been years since I've had a proper drink.

I am not nearly inebriated enough to continue that tragic line of thought, although if I were it would have something to do with "being excellent" I'd wager.

It doesn't take inebriation so much as deep-rooted shame.
Since I'm German and a Circus Freak, I think I've got enough for us both. gonk
